EVB COM Object for Transport

The syncParam property of the syncOpt component seems to be missing. Does anyone know where I can download the correct version?
Or does anyone have a API set for the C++ API's so I can use this property.
I am trying to sync some tables down and others down only. Without this property does anyone have suggestions on how to accomplish this??

I am using 5.0.2, and according to the docs there is a SyncParam property that you can set to do a selective sync. When I enum the object the property is not their...
And feedback is of much help....
I have gotten around the problem for now by creating 2 packages with 2 different users. The first one syncs my upload data and the second contains my download only data, that I only need to pull when I start a new inventory.

Hi,
Make sure the Infoobjects(in which you are changing it from Display attirube to Nav attribute) and collect the other things in a seperate request (Infoproviders, the deativated transformations and the DTP followed by Queries). Release the request to QA/Prd in a sequence(Infoobject request first and the iinfoprovider request as followed by the successful movement of the first one.
The STMS automatically take cares the sequence of trasnporting the objects one by one to the destination system.

No object can select when collecting objects for transport

When I use RSA1 and want to collect objects for transport,I found that no objects can be found for some object type,such as ISTD/TRFN etc, any body who know this situation?

Hi Martin,
best way to collect objects into transport request is throught RSA1 -> Transport connection.
in Transport connection, you have different options to collect objects into transport request.
In data flow before...
here you can see objects that are already have transport request, package...

once your TR has released to further system and its became RED.IF this is correct as per my understanding,No need for going unblock the same transport request.because once its released go for creation of NEW Transport Request which are the objects has required ,make one TR and relase to further systems.(in u r case its Quality)
just open the TR and check the log overview of the transport,
whether any objects has missed or not avialble in quality system(might be the reason ur TR has RED)and anlyse the logs .you can find the solution to that.
if u r is not relased to further systems and you want to change/ remove of the objects from the TR,then u can goto SE03 and unlock the TR and make fresh TR.

I am working with R/3 4.7 on WAS 6.20. I am running win 2003 and SQL server. An admin asked me if SAP provided COM objects for controlling systems?

Collecting Objects for Transport

I have to transport a new cube, few of the info-objects for this cube are already active in QA. Also the application component and infoarea are active in QA. what all should I collect for transport, can someone provide me steps. After going to Transport Connection in RSA1 Ive selected the cube, now it shows me the list containing application component, info area, info objects.. what should I do next.

Collection of Objects for Transporting to Test Box

Hi Experts,
I am ready to transport from BW Dev system to Testing system.Actually some of the Objects activated before for diffrent applications like FI-CO,SD and CRM and exported to testing system.Now My turn to export some of the objects to test box.
I am little bit in confusion.How do I collect the objects which I activted with my own request.I am sure I don't need to transport the Objects which already in Test box though my functional application required the same objects.If So how can I find which Objects are in Test box already or not.Is there any particular method to find which objects are not transported from Development to Testing.Please advise me.I need to finish my Transports by the tomorrow.I am running with urgency.

Hi,
Unfortunatelly for you, the best way is to collect through the transport collector in RSA1 all the objects that are needed for your solution.
Normally if you did not change anything on objects that are already transported, the system will not collect them.
But I would say that there is no added value to make a difference between stuff that were already transported and the other objects as in Dev you are aroking with them correctly....

Collecting objects for transports

I'm trying to modify queries. When i open a query, it shows "white" as in it is modifiable.
In tranport connection on AWB, when i click on Bex Truck, I see no standard Bex request assigned.
I think the query is already assigned to some request, but since I want to me my own changes, how do i do it? What will happen to the changes that might have been recorded to another request.

Hi Fran,
if you are not seeing nothing in by clicking on Bex Truck, maybe there is some released request...if you collect the objects (your query) in transport connection, you will be able to see if the object is embedded in a CR or not...(it is an info available on one column on the right side...).
Anyway, if you create a new request and insert your query there, it's good, but pay attention: if the old CR (if still existing) will be transported later, old versions (generally speacking) overwrite the new ones...

Help in collecting objects for transport into Q

Hi All,
We have our Q environment ready and need to transport the data flows into Q. I know that we have to replicate the datasources in Q before doing any transports. I have a flow like below:
R/3 -> ODS -> Cube. I have generated an export datasource on the ODS and created a datamrt infopackage to load from ODS to Cube. What is the correct way to collect them in transports. I read(in some of the earlier posts) that we need to transport the export datasource before transporting the Cube.
Please suggest!!!

Hi,
If you are using Version 7 , no need to worry about it. We can combine both ODS and CUBE with Dataflow before and after in a transport requet.
But If I remember correctly, I had a datasource unavailability problem with both ODS and CUBE with Dataflow before and after in a transport requet in older versions.
So, in older versions, Take ODS with DFBefore in a request , trnasport and import it first, Then Replicate teh data sources from teh context menu of self source system. And then take Cube in another request with DFB and DFAfter .Import it later.

may i know how can i colloect the technical contnet objects for transport?
basically i already transport a technical content content request to quality, after transporting i got the logs as some of the technical content objects have not been activated in quality, but i thougt i can directly activate the content objects by using the program RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE and remaing programs for cubes,aggregates,data sources and all in quality sytem, but client dont want the mannuall activation in qulaity system, they are askig again i have to transport the active(which are the objects not in active version in quality) version from EST to ESQ and then re-import my main transport.
so now again i have to activate the objects in develpment, may i know if i activate the program RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE in se38 and transport the request to quality is it ok (here have to create a new request for this?) here in asingle request can i activate all objects which are not activated (i have to go for activation to info objects, cubes, data sources, update rules,transfer structures) is there any sequence steps to collect this object, please provide me

Activate all the necessary objects and collect them in a single request and check for any inconsistencies or inactive objects in the requests before transporting it to the QA or PRD in SE03.

Anyway, I've faced with new problems. The AVDocOpenFromFile(ASPathName , ASFileSys , ASText ) function works perfectly, but if file doesn't containe forms. And when I want to open file with forms I getting crash.

How to delete bulk of objects from transport request?

Hi
I made some mistake in selecting the objects for transport, and now there are a lot of unwanted objects saved under the request number. I know the objects can be deleted from the transport request through SE01, SE09 and SE10. But none of these allows me to delete the request number because there are a objects under the request that has to be deleted first.
Is there any way by which i can delete the entire list of objects in one go rather than deleting them one by one?

Hi,
You have to Unlock the request before you deleting the request.
Goto SE03->Under Requests/Tasks Double Click on Unlock Objects (Expert Tool)-> enter the Request no you want to Delete and Click on Execute -. Click on Unlock.Now you can Delete that Request.

Com object implementation in forms 9i

Has anyone actually implemented this? We have a 3rd party application (imaging software) that has .dll's that under forms 5 we have accessed within the forms pl/sql. Under 9i, I understand the need to create a javabean for this com object and then from pl/sql use the fbean package to implement it.
The example I've seen of this is the Microsoft Word one documented in "Client Side OLE Integration from Oracle9i Forms". I find this article to be very confusing. Does anyone have a link to anything that may provide better info?
One particular question I have is do I need to create a javabean on the Jacob package first and then the com objects for my 3rd party application? Or can I just directly create a javabean on my com objects?
Any info in regards to this would be appreciated.

JACOB provides a series of APIs that you can use to call COM methods from within Java So you have to create a JavaBean which does these calls. That JavaBean can import the JACOB classes so you don't have to write that all again.

COM Object gets Message stating it cannot access the server.

I support an Application that would call Outlook to send an e-mail, it uses a COM object to do so, I have a client that has Exchange 2013 and Outlook 2010, trying to send an SMS to a Cell phone, in the form of [PHONE_NUMBER]@vtext.com (Verizon SMS), gets
a message stating that the server cannot be reached (Retry/Work Offline / Cancel), If I select Retry, nothing happens, if I select Work Offline, it will take it to OUTBOX but will not send it, unless outlook is closed and then re-opened. However, if I add
a CC email address, the CC'd email will be sent right away once the message is put on the outbox, but the original phone_number email will stay in the outbox.
Haven't seen that specific behavior before.
Any light would be greatly appreciated.

Sending an Email/SMS is a small feature that was added to the application to make it easier for our clients to communicate the Service Calls to the technicians, send Reports, and/or send Invoices/Quotes to their clients.
That being said, the Application was working fine with Previous Outlook Versions up to 2010 (though not quite sure what changes were done by the Patches, it has stopped on some of the 2010 versions (specially on 64-bit environment) Our developers purposely
selected to call the COM object for the user/client to have full control of the communication (client still needs to click the "ALLOW" Button to allow the email to be sent.
Application is not a plug-in (Add-in) to Outlook, but rather a Full "Service Company Suite" with Email capabilities. It was not Written in .NET or VS so using .NET Objects at the moment is not a choice, unless the developers create some soft of connector
plugin to talk to Outlook.
The Link provided really has nothing to do with the issue (the SMS is really sent as a regular Email)
