EVDRE-Error: #ERR: -2147024894

Hi,
I am using
BOPC 7.5 NW Client, SP3
OS: Windows 7 (32-bit), Patchlvel B
When I am opening an existing EVDRE-report, I am getting the error:
#ERR: -2147024894-Ungültige Wurzel in Registrierungsschlüssel "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerShell FoldersPersonal".
This folder doesn't exist in my registry.
When I try to create a new report using EVDRE, no dimensions are displayed in the list, so I can't add them to rows or columns.
I tried already to delete all client-side files, uninstall and Install Client again, inactivate and activate the "Planning and Consolidation" Add-In for Excel... didn't help.

Go to eTools-> Client Options----> Clear Local Application Information

Evdre error using "dynamic hierarchy expansion" option

Dear all,
I'm trying to expand the evdre using the option "dynamic hierarchy expansion", but I get an error in function EVDRE(). This is the error:
#ERR: Consolidation Mode ON - Only keyword ""Blank"" is applicable for dimension ENTITY when with dimension GROUPS.
I have not put any value on the memberset of of the entity expansion according with the error message. Here you have the example:

Thanks for the information.
In that case, I think Active X has not been enabled in IE.
Kindly follow the below step.
In IE, Tools-> Internet Optios -> Security -> Security level -> Change it to medium or go to custom level -> and enable Active X

Error ERR-1802 Unable to find item

I was using HTML DB to execute a query. The region expected an item and based on
that item to retrieve a Clob and output to the GUI. Here is the PL/SQL code:

When I first time ran a page I was able to get the page back without any issue;
however when I entered the second ID, I got "Error ERR-1802 Unable to find item
id "187846523855309166"

Unexpected error". Then I tried running the same page on different browser
(switch from firefox to IE ) and entered the second ID I was able to get the
page back. The same problem happened for the second browser, that is, if I
entered another ID to search, I got the same error.
And I turned on the trace using p_trace=YES

The query just took the CLOB content and divided it into table of varchar2(4000) base on chr(10). The query worked well in PL/SQL when I replaced htp with dbms_output.
The branching was the default one, "Redirect To Page 11 (the same page)". I only created one region, one item and one button. That branching was automatically created.

Hello all,
I created an application for faculty in HTMLDB 1.6.
To get to the application faculty members log into a different website, and then follow a link to my application. The link re-directs them to a public page which pulls their unique ID from a cookie stored by the first website. After their ID is found they are automatically logged in, or if the ID is not present they are redirected to the main login page.
A few faculty members have tested the automatic login with success. One member, though, followed the same steps, but when he clicked on the link and was re-directed to the application he recieved an error "error: ERR-1002 Unable to find item ID for item 'APP_SESSION'."
As for the code, the code first retrieves the cookie and gets the ID from it. The variable term_id is then set to the correct term value. This term value depends on what term was selected from the previous application. The term value may or may not be null (they are not required to select a term prior to being re-directed). If it is null, the faculty member is brought to a term selection page. If it is not null, the faculty member skips this step and moves on to the next page. These steps are known to work properly.
This plsql code follows directly after, which should login the user and either redirect him/her to the term select page if the term value is null, or the main page if there is a term value present:

The last part redirects them to the login page if all else fails
Any idea why one faculty member would receive the message "error: ERR-1002 Unable to find item ID for item 'APP_SESSION'" while others would not?
*NOTE: All variable and alias names here are not the actual names within the application.

Ah, i see. I thought you only had to use v('APP_SESSION') in the login function while assigned the value of P_SESSION_ID, but I was wrong.

Error ERR-1002 Unable to find item ID for item "ID" in application

Hi everyone,
I'm new to APEX and I've come across this error for the first time. I have a page with a classic report in it, and I want to create a link from one of the columns in the report (ID column) to another page with a classic report in it. So when I click on, say, ID 118, I want to be sent to the other page and to only see the information for ID 118.
After creating the column link I receive the error message when I run the application:
Error      ERR-1002 Unable to find item ID for item "ID" in application
I've tried creating a link from one report to another before and it worked fine.

So, on page 1 I have some columns from a table (ID, name etc) and I want to link the values in the ID column to a report on page 2, so that the columns in page 2 (order no, type etc) show only the information for the ID I clicked on in page 1. I went to Page Definition -> Regions -> Report link -> click on the "edit" icon on the left of column "ID" and in the Column Link section I have the following:
Link text: #ID#
Link Attributes: title="Click to see deal information."
Target: Page in this application
Page: 2
Clear Cache: CIR,2
Item 1:
     Name: ID
     Value: #ID#
I have no item called ID on page 2.

Hi All,
I am new to Apex, still a beginner. Please need your help on this.
We recently upgraded to Apex 4.1 from Apex 3.0. The database version is 10.2.0.4.
I am getting this below error.
Error ERR-1002 Unable to find item ID for item "" in application "11501".
Unexpected error, unable to find item name at application or page level.
This error specifically occurs when two sessions are opened from the same browser, and the same page is accessesed. This was not occuring before in 3.0.

i have the exact same problem and situation. (but i dont use Oracle Apps, only APEX).
Migrated from APEX 2.2 to APEX 4.1
Application is (unfortunately) used and opened in Internet Explorer with more than one session/tabs by users.
In APEX2.2 this was working, in APEX4.1 i get the following error:

So i thought this is an issue with the authentication scheme (that was migrated, too). I dropped it and recreated it, but same problem.
When i look to the URL after the re-login, it is:

The strange thing is the part of ",4753713078141275:"
What is APEX doing here?
=> i figured out that this is a Page Item ID. I have the hidden item P3_REPORT_TYPE which interal ID is 4753713078141275.
I use the hidden item to conditionally display some regions on the page.
Or is the problem before the comma, the "NULL" value ",47..." ?
Can anyone help me or explain what is the problem here to get a solution?

Occasionally address box contains comma (f?p=102:LOGIN_DESKTOP:::::,). This bug do not have a logic, just occured.
Could somebody help me?

I have a input schedule which was working fine earlier 2 weeks ago.
all of a sudden it says "evdre retrieving error from we server" . its the same input template that ran well before.
only changes tha happened was
upload of new version data
inspite of the webserver and .net are on version 2, noth are in synch, enough memory left in the back end to run this application and the input template
within the template :
when the report was working fine 2 weeks ago
1. there was a hierarchy with 12000 members it was fine and now though we reduced to 885 members it still does have the error
2. there are no parent members that the data is being sent to, infact all the pull and send are formula oriented now
earlier it was a straight pull from the data base still it was fine
3. now itis taking 10 minutes and time out, yes we increased the run time to 17 minutes but that di not serve any purpose either.
we are on SAP BPC NW 7.5 SP7

I found the solution
finally after eliminating the row expansion it took less time without the error on EVDRE
i have taken out the Row expansion and used EVGTS instead
this reduced the runtime of the report from timing out to 3.55 minutes
but still one thing surprises me is ,
the report was working fine with all the original stuff there and there was no problem
suddenly it gave evdre error with retrieving from webserver
and after changing the structure it started working better
if somebody could explain why it could have been like this ,

The full error message was:
ORA00001: unique constraint (FLOWS_030000.WWV_FLOW_COLLECTIONS_UK) violated ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource

We can't reproduce it (so it would appear to be intermittent and very rare), but it may be significant that it occurred in an unauthenticated application.
Does anyone have any idea about what circumstances would cause this error to occur?

EVDRE error on certain member from Dimension

Hi,
One of the template will have EVDRE error when selection this entity. Upon check, by creating simple EVDRE report, some new members from this entity cause the EVDRE error. The new members was just added to the dimension and no issue when running process dimension. We have open the dimension, save and re run the process dimension without any error but still have the evdre error when open the template with the entity. No issue with other entity For info we are running BPC MS 7.5 upgraded recently from BPC MS 7.0. Any help is very much appreciated.

sorry from your description I didn't understand it was the same issue. If it is the same normally you're able to process the dim the day after.
You don't need to raise to SAP, SAP has released one years ago, see please 1633966 - BPC MS: EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the Web Server, "Errors found retrieving data" .
For my experience it's sufficient as workaround to update the date of the .dep files, without stop and restart of services as described in the thread of your last answer.
Let me know if the workaround is clear or not.

Hi friends,
I created an application with 3 pages in it..
1-------2------3
where 1-----> login page
2----->report
3----->forms
I deleted report page----2, and i also changed the target page in login page, so that soon after press the login page it will directly go to page 3...
If im clicking that login page icon means it is working fine......it is going to page 3
But if i clicked the "RUN APPLICATION"---the big icon of the application means, it is directing to the page 2----report
which i was deleted, as it showing the error

Since i doesnt want to go to page 1 which is in deleted state, i need is soon after click that "RUN APPLICATION"---the big icon it has to go to page 8 directly like, when it is going to page 8 when i clicking the individual login page icon.......

Data stored in these tables is different. If Oracle says that there's no record that satisfies the WHERE condition, why do you think that it lies? It is too stupid to do that.
Therefore, you need to handle the exception. There are several ways to do it. Here are some of them.
The first one is the most obvious - EXCEPTION handling section.

i have installed apex 4 to an existing apex 3.2 installation (oracle 11g windows) with oracle http Server.
i follow the installations guide and install the full version.
I try to call "http://dmsapex:7777/pls/apex/apex_admin" and it works and i can admin my application and see my existing workspace
i try to call "http://dmsapex:7777/pls/apex/apex" and it does not work. i get follw error message in the browser (IE8):

Thanks mo**** . I executed @apxdvins from my extracted oracle directory using the followin procedure and it was working properly.

You need to change your directory to the directory where apxdvins.sql iis available. Mostly this is Apex extracted directory.
$ SQLPLUS/NOLOG
SQL> CONNECT SYS AS SYSDBA
@apxdvins
This will take some time.
If you want you can also do this extra steps in SQL mode:
shutdown
startup
alter user anonymous account unlock;
ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA = APEX_040000;

EVDRE error after adding new member - AFTER installing SQL 2008 R2 SP1 CU2

Hi guys.
We're seeing the same error as detailed in Link:[Re: EVDRE error AFTER expanding on a newly added member, sometimes....;
Basically, any new members that are added appear in the SQL tables, but throw out "EVDRE has encountered a problem..." when trying to use them.
Generally, this problem clear up if we leave the member overnight (although why this should be, I have no idea - the system does nothing extra overnight).
We have tried processing the cube, full processing of the application and even a server reboot, all to no avail.
However, the generally accepted fix for this is to upgrade SQL 2008 R2 to SP1 CU2 (SQL 10.50.2772)
This system was patched to that level before BPC was ever installed, precisely to avoid this problem.
This is not the first time that we have seen this behaviour.
I have experienced it in one other environment, which I keep meaning to rebuild.
These installations are in completely different environments. The only similarities are that they both use Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2.
The issue only started to appear in this second environment today (we have 3 other environments with the same software version that do not have the problem).
It had been assumed before today that the first problematic environment might need a rebuild due to this issue being caused by some other factor.
However, this is now far too coincidental to be the case.
Has anyone seen similar issues even after patching to v10.50.2772, or does anyone have any suggestions at all.
I could really do with a quick win on this one.

i've had the same issue in the same days. I confirm that the issue appear after adding any member and it's clear overnight.
My system is different:
Windows Server 2008 NT 6.0 <X64> (Build 6002: Service Pack 2) Enterprise Edition
and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (SP1) - 10.0.2841.0 (X64)
The issue appears in the last months.
It's occurs only on specific machine (always the same client), in the same moment other machines can open the same input schedule and expand without problem.
I've noted also that when I cancel the added member the issue disappear, the same behaviour with APShell.
I have the same configuration on development and test environment, same version of O.S. and SQL server, but there I don't have problem. The only difference is that these two environments are single server (application and DB server on the same machine) Instead, the production environment is multiserver (2 application server + DB server).
Maybe there is a service that take a long time for sincronization (it's triggered in the night?).
Could you verify if on some machine the evdre works fine and and that when you delete the added member evdre starts to work?
