This is occurring under two different user logins one of whom is an administrator the other a standard user. How can I get safari to Never accept cookies? This is a recent problem because in the past it used to work properly. Any idea what might be going on here?

I did read (yesterday in another thread) about a similar problem. I cannot test it myself as I accept cookies (from sites I visit) and do not want to delete all of mine for a test.
I do not know whether it meets your requirements, but you could turn on private browsing. I use that (or Microsoft's variant on IE) when I use public computers.

I have already set up my iMAP account and recently my trash is not function, i.e. I cannot move my unwanted mail to the trash. How can I retrieve my trash back. Whe I use my ipad to view my mail, I can move the unwanted mail to the trash without any difficulties. How come I can perform moving the unwanted message from the ipad to the trash but not the notebook and desktop.

My gmail email is my apple ID. I found I lost access of gmail last night and I reset the password before bed. But this morning the password was changed again. My ipad also requested a password that didn't match to the one I used. I have reset my gmail once more. In addition, I added 2-step verification. But I have not received any new mail up to now. I tried to reset my apple ID. When I selected sending an email for resetting, the mail was sent but never reached my mailbox; When I selected answering security questions: the birthday was wrong. It's been changed. I am SO SO UPSET. Can any genius take pity on me and show me some guidance, please?

After upgrading to OSX Maverick my Apple TV has taken control of my iTunes videos insisting I have to watch it on my TV. I have tried disabling home sharing on iTunes and on the Apple TV menu, I have also checked the disable Infrared facility in Systems Prefs Security. Even if I put the Apple TV in standby as soon as I hit a key on my iMac, Apple TV comes back on and on my Itunes screen I get the Apple TV logo imprinted on the screen, meaning I can no longer watch it on my MAC, I have run out of ideas. Can anyone help.
I think you're headed the right direction. There is an AirPlay icon (on mine it is up near the play/pause controls) that I believe is used to set the default desitination for the video to play.
I'd never seen your issue before, but opened iTunes on a recently-upgraded-to-Mavericks MacBook and it did exactly as you described. While the video was loading, I switched the AirPlay option to the computer instead of ATV and it began playing locally (after a delay as you'd mentioned). I then read this page, which is actually quite old: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1091073, which lead me to the icon near the play/pause button. It now has Computer selected on it, and defaults to play locally instead of the ATV even after quitting and reopening iTunes. I hope that is helpful. -
Safari is non-responsive after intitial start up. Before it can load the homepage (google), it will hang and give a perpetual pinwheel until I force quit the program. Safari works in temporary user account but not in my primary user account. I have reinstalled osx via the command-r upon start up and the problem still persists. Any suggestions on how to reinstall or repair safari?
Thanks for thinking about my problem. I've already experimented with creating a new user, a co-administrator. The programs don't crash when that account is running, just as they don't crash when the guest-user's account runs. So it seems that the problem is limited to the default user's account, which is the one that was running when I installed the updates to the OS and the firmware. Another clue is that the programs that crash as soon as they are launched are *probably* the ones that were open at that time in that account. Yet deleting Saved Application States does not keep the programs from crashing when next launched.
So the mystery continues, but these additional facts will help with the diagnosis, I hope.

Have you checked the Mute switch on the left side above the volume buttons? And tried raising the volume with the buttons? -
After having payed fo an account for one year for Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 i keep getting the message ,that I am using a trial version of Photoshop CC.

Still sleeping even after setting Energy Saver to Never
I'm trying to use my 2.53 GHz (Late 2009) MM as a server but even after setting the 'Computer sleep' preference to 'Never' in the Energy Saver System Preferences panel, the MM still goes to sleep. This isn't a big issue for me since I can and have used Wake On Lan apps/scripts, but it's a major pain in the you-know-what for other people who need to access this server over the internet.
Could there be some persistent overriding preference somewhere that is allowing this MM to go to sleep when in fact it should not be because of my setting? I've searched but can find anything.
TIA for any help with this.Interesting... I had an EyeTV that I did install on an older G5 PowerMac that I stopped using before I migrated to this MM back in March. I'll check to see if the EyeTV app was also migrated over and uninstall it if necessary.
I would have thought that the EyeTV software would default to a "Never Sleep" state considering it's purpose. I'll check this possibility out when I get home after the long weekend. -

After a year of no use and a resulting fully discharged battery, the MacBook Pro refuses to recognize the administrator name and password (both). It has system OS X 10.6 which can not be upgraded without the information. How can I reset or reistall the administrator name and password?
Thanks to all who responded. You are all absolutely correct. However, this Ipad was a gift to my wife who was dying of cancer in the hospital and wanted some entertainment. So I started it out with her Apple ID. After she passed away I moved from Sacramento to Austin and eventually proceeded to get the Apple ID changed from my wife's to mine. Meanwhile when she was in the hospital I opened an Itunes account in my name to buy movies for her. That was the first mistake.
Then during the move to Austin I lost track of the IPAD and later found it and tried to use support but could not remember the proper ID. Later the folks at the Apple store helped me create a new and novel Apple ID that was unfortunately unlike any other.
The botom line is that I am stuck with three Apple IDs and three passwords. I am told by Apple there is nothing they can do about this as IDs cannot be changed or destroyed. I can quit using them or start a new account but when I try to do that the system keeps remembering too many things from the past and resists.
Even if I sold this Ipad and bought a new one, the system memory is still there.
I think the real problem is that destop and laptop computers are totally owned by an individual and that individual can control logins and passwords to his liking. IPADs and similar Apple products are different in that the corporation has built in their own intrusion detection schemes because of the relation to Itunes.
One thing I thought about is to open a new Itunes account pretendding to be a new customer with my regular Apple ID. Perhaps I could do the same with Apple Support.

When you connect to any database error disappears, but still it's a bug.

I am a .NET developer and a newbie to the world of BO I have just written a simple application in C# making use of the BO.NET Enterprise SDK and the ReportEngine.NET SDK to open a WEBI document and export it to Excel. I have got the whole thing working - starting from establishing the EnterpriseSession, obtaining the reportEngine instance and also opneing the Webi document and exporting it to Excel.
The problem is the even after setting a different value for the prompts I ALWAYS get the same report - for example if I set the Country prompt to India I always get the previous one that was set in the universe (Brazil). These are not optional prompts and I do refresh the documentInstance after calling "SetPrompts" Did anyone elase have the same problem with caching?. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi Sandesh,
First note that HR:Security Is for HRMS module for restricting data for respective OUs
MO:Security is for other Modules such as Inv, PO, AR, AP etc., for restricting data
Change the inventory Org to the one you want and then query data...
