The tracks are not in your iTunes library?
Or they are in the library but will not sync to the iPad?
Select the iPad in iTunes.
Click the Music tab at top.
Tick Sync music and make sure Sync all is selected or if Sync selected is selected, make sure you tick what you want to sync.
FYI: Burn means to create a CD (because you burn with the laser). RIP means to get off an audioCD onto the computer.

If I understand your question, you are trying to update your iPhone, but you are seeing an error message that iTunes for Windows is not installed, is that right? The first step is to get iTunes successfully installed on your computer. Then backup the iPhone before updating the iOS software.

Background Info
I recently took my MacBook Pro 2011 to the Genius Bar because I was having issues with the logic board. Unfortunately the computer would freeze, emit three continuous beeps and basically render it useless every time I turned it on. Thus I was unable to do a more recent back up before taking it into the store. The first time I took it in, they said that the RAM and the logic board looked fine after running system diagnostics. They held onto it for about a week and when I got it back they had said that it was simply an operating system issue and that they had wiped it and reinstalled Mavericks instead of Yosemite which I had been running previous to my issues. However as soon as I took it home, the issues persisted and so I returned to the Genius Bar in hopes that they would see that the logic board was having issues. This time they sent it off to Texas to have all of the faulty parts replaced for a flat rate which included my logic board and optical drive. When I picked it up the lady at the Genius Bar said, "Good news, we didn't have to touch any of your files so they should all be on the MacBook." Alas they had already been wiped in an attempt to fix my laptop that failed. So all of my music from CD's as well as mp3 downloads of recordings done by boyfriend and other small artists not purchased from iTunes are gone.
Issue at Hand
I just got my MacBook Pro 2011 back after having it wiped by the folks at the Genius Bar. With only an old back up from 2 or 3 months ago on my external hard drive, I don't have a lot of my more recently downloaded music saved anywhere. All of my iTunes purchased are easily retrievable from iCloud and what not but mp3 downloads of personal recordings done by boyfriend and other small local bands, mp3's purchased on Amazon, mp3's purchased from Bandcamp, free mp3's from Soundcloud artists, etc. will not sync over to my MacBook. All of these songs are still on my iPhone 6 thank goodness but I would very much like to sync them over to my MacBook. If anyone knows how I can overcome this, please let me know. Thank you very much.Basically anything not purchased from iTunes that is on my iPhone 6 will not sync over to my MacBook. I have tried to just manually back it up but only the purchased music will sync over to iTunes.

Lightroom for iPad app keeps saying Checking Collections even though I had sync'd photos
I download the LR app for my iPad and sync'd a bunch of photos. Then my Trial period expired and so I paid the fee. But now, when I go into the App, it just states "Checking Collections..." and nothing happens. Can anyone assist me here?

CraigTThe same thing happened to me a few days after installing the app. It seems that once the connection is broken, the Mobile collections simply disappear. I also had this happen when I booted my desktop and tried syncing the second time (oddly, not the first). LR told me it was trying to sync a different catalog. Thinking it was referring to the Mobile catalog (collection?) I clicked ok. My collections once again disappeared.
Seems the Mobile collections are "fragile"? Until Adobe gets the direction all the mobile apps are moving in totally figured out, I'd suggest making LR originated copies back into your ios camera roll. At least then rebuilding won't be so frustrating. Really hoping they link LRM and PS Touch in Creative Cloud. That seems like A very logical next step and would make workflow intuitive and very useful on the run. -
After recent upgrade to Yosemite on Macbook air bluetooth audio cuts out and associated video stops with audio. Likewise with airplay and Apple TV. I have deleted all my saved wifi connections and restarted numerous times. I do not expect a resolution from the community, but hope to get the attention of Apple engineers. If you are having same problems or have a miracle cure I am all ears.
May start my own thread, but I'm having similar issues.
I've been using an old iMac (running 10.7.5) and Apple TV for years with no issues. Last week I bought a new Macbook Pro running Yosemite and have had audio issues multiple times. The weird thing is that sometimes it works flawlessly, other times (like now) I spend half an hour just trying to get a song to play.
My issues are: When I got to "computers" in Apple TV to stream my music, my music is sometimes chopper or intermittent, and I seen to know when it's going to happen based on the status wheel just before it plays. When I choose a song, the status wheel will spin for an unusually long time, usually an indicator that the audio is either not going to work, or stutter.
When it does finally pull up a song, the playhead sits at the beginning of the song for a good 3-5 seconds before actually playing. Then, when it starts playing, it's all downhill. It will play a few seconds, drop out, play a few more seconds, drop out, and then ultimately the playhead will keep moving across the song as if it's playing, but there's no audio.
Again, this is a new phenomenon never experienced by me. I've tried everything I could think of, some of them all at once:
• restart Apple TV
• restart Macbook Pro
• quite iTunes/open
• turn off Home Sharing on iTunes then reconnect it
• unplugging and cycling both my modem and router
None of these have alleviated the problem.
The odd thing is, like this morning, the audio started up perfectly and never gave me any issues. It wasn't until later in the day that it started. Perhaps after the macbook pro had been put to sleep? Not sure.
Regardless, this is an annoying trait, one that's new to me and my system (as stated, worked flawlessly until my new purchase), and is 100% limited to either a) the macbook pro b) Yosemite or c) both of them. -
Trying to open Premiere elements 12 for the first time even though I had it loaded for a while. It gives me a message that I need to be connected to the internet (which I am) or that my clock is off (it is correct). Any suggestions?
First we need to check , whether the LAN settings is set to detect settings Automatically or not.
Follow below steps .
1)Open Control Panel and then click on the option "Network and Internet" .
2)Click on Internet options, click on 'Connections' tab.
3)In the 'Connections' tab, select 'LAN' settings, you will be able to view the Local area network settings box.
4)Check the box-"Automatically Detect Settings" and then "uncheck" all the other check boxes like 'Use automatic configuration script', 'Use a proxy server' , Bypass proxy server' ,then click on ok button .
5)Click on "LAN settings" button again , make sure "Automatically Detect Settings" is the only option selected, keep the LAN properties window open.
Then launch Premiere Elements 12 and try to sign in.

the OmniDiskSweeper was a very helpful download, because it laid out the HD and all the files on it in a "largest to smallest" fashion. When I did this I found that I had an inordinate amount of memory being taken up in my Mail Data folder, this did not make much sense so when I dug deeper I found that a 59MB scanned file that I had emailed 3 weeks ago had not been delivered, so the computer was retrying every minute and saving the history of what it was doing, so it was saving the 59MB file as well as the log about the 59MB file and hence for the last 3 weeks it's been chewing away at HD space recording the activity of the undeliverable file.
I deleted the Data record folders and removed the yahoo account from My Mail and reinstalled it with proper IMAP information and the HD is secure and holding at 331GB of free space. Like it ought to be.
I love the fact that if something very strange is happpening on your MAC there is a REASON....find it and fix it, and move on. In the PC world you would reboot 20 times, call some guy in India who will ony try to sell you a new subscription or warranty for $99 and never solve anything.

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

No there isn't. If you want to activate the Touch ID, you have to have a passcode for security purpose, in case the Touch ID fails. And, to use Touch ID on the App Store, it has to be active for unlocking the phone. While you can use it to unlock the phone and not use it for the App store, if you use it for the App store, you have to use it for both.

Could be a defective battery, you should get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store next to your place.

The apps that you had will be listed in your purchase history if you login to your account in iTunes on your computer - the list isn't very user friendly though as it's listed by date order and will include all app updates that you've downloaded (so an app will appear multiple times if you've downloaded it's updates). You can re-download apps, though it's a manual process as you need to find them yourself in the app store : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 .
If the apps are in your iTunes library then the restore might work - a backup contains app data/settings, but not the app itself, so without the app available to it the restore can't install the app and therefore it's content.
