Even though the 'check spelling when i type' is selected in options, my Firefox isn't doing it and I don't know how to fix it. Help?

This isn't a new problem. This has happened with all the versions of firefox I have downloaded. I'm using 3.6.12 version now but it hasn't made a difference

Not all locales come with a dictionary installed due to licensing reasons. 
If you do not have the en-US locale then check that you have a dictionary installed (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and selected.
You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages submenu. 
You can open the "Add Dictionaries" link to install a dictionary if you do not have one. 
Make sure that [X] "Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu has a tick.

Install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
That will re download and install the App Store for you which may help.
It's ok to install the combo even though you are already running v10.6.8
Restart your Mac after combo is installed, try downloading apps.
Note... if you have Little Snitch installed that will prevent downloads. If you have anti virus software installed, disable that and turn off the Firewall in System Prefereces > Security.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Close out of the mail app, then double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
Then check your email again.

Lion no longer has iSync

The cursor bubble is minimized and I don't know how to fix it.

For some reason the bubble under the cursor became minimized so I can't see the words when I hover over a link etc. The bubble works in other programs and even in the Firefox tool bars and on the tabs.

Issues with tooltips not working properly have been reported to be caused by the Google Toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
You can check if there is an update available that fixes that issue.
You can try to uninstall and reinstall the latest Google Toolbar.

I erased ical and i don't know how to fix it, it still apears there but i erased the software.. what do I do?

What happened to me was that when I got my imac everything was workin perfecty, but two months later I erased the ICAL software by mistake. Now I can't open it because it says that I don't have the software or I don't know what it is talking about. But the strange thing is that the app still appears in my computer. Please help!

Go to Start -- Accessories -- Command Prompt, make right click and choose run as administrator
Type this command : netsh winsock reset
then restart your computer, everything should be ok after this. Good Luck.

It is self explanitory When I try to go online it keeps saying it is in the offline mode and won't go online I have tried several times .Firefox is my main internet site and the earlier ones do work like a dream .

Does File > Work Offline has a check mark when that happens?
You can try to create a new Boolean pref with the name network.manage-offline-status and set the value to false. 
Right-click on the about:config page to open the right-click context menu and use "New > Boolean" to create a new Boolean pref.
Name: network.manage-offline-status
Value: false

This may occur if you are connected to the Internet and iTunes is trying to connect to the iTunes Store and fails for some unknown reason.
Try this:
Quit iTunes and disconnect completely from the Internet.
IF you have an iPhone (iPod etc), open iTunes. Sync the device.
Re-enable your Internet connection.
Quit iTunes.
Open iTunes again.
If this does not work, try completely uninstalling iTunes, then reinstall it according to these instructions:

All apps - all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account that was used to download the apps.
In order to install app updates with the iTunes account that was used to download the apps, you must use that iTunes account and password.
You can't transfer apps and any iTunes content that includes DRM protection from one iTunes account to another or merge accounts.

I downloaded a new font (Lato) and stretched some of the type. It appears fine on the screen and print preview but is distorted on my printed copy. I have tried to convert all text to outlines and selected that preset in the pdf dialog box but this still hasn't solved the problem. Ok I found a site that has a free version of this font and Font Agent Pro found nothing wrong wit it so I loaded it. And I then opened it and saved it as a pdf and then printed it from Acrobat with no problems and looks fine in Acrobat and Illustrator.
