Can you check System in the Windows Log of Event Viewer? Maybe you have some logon failure for one of the services, like in this blog:

Yes I have verify this point I suspected to be the origine of the problem. But no, the accounts have fixed password and are not locked. I test this point with a valide login on the server, and I reenter the login password for each app pool. -
HI
when i am trying to open MSWord following message pop up and i can't open MSword any more:
WINWORD.EXE -Application Error The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click ok to close the application.
Please adviseHi,
Does Word start in Safe Mode?
Press Win key + R, type "winword.exe /safe" in the blank box, press Enter.
If Word can start in Safe Mode, the issue should be related to 3rd-party add-ins, disable the suspicious add-ins to determine which one caused the problem.
You can also try repairing Office from Control Panel -> Programs and Features, check if this helps.

TechNet Community Support -
Hi all,
After updating our acceptence Windows 7 SP1 clients (april updates). We are unable to login the machine.
Error: userinit.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018)
After rebooting the machine 2times I'm able to login. When I shutdown the machine at the next boot i'm getting the same error again and i'm not able to logon.
I have no idea where to start. One by one uninstalling updates isn't an option because after a reboot it seems ok.
Any idea's? Help is welcome.

Uninstalling
KB3045999 works as a workaround like Wastashi said. We too have this problem.
@Karen Hu: Startup repair didn't find anything here and this is probably because the system boots properly but only after a user logs in the "Error: userinit.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018)"
appears. Safe mode works however and after I disabled all the startup items and rebooted I could successfully logon once, but this could be coincidence because sometimes after a reboot you can login as pointed out by Tim NL. However a few seconds
after I successfully logged in and saw the desktop, the pc rebooted spontaneously. Any idea what this could be causing? Virus scanner maybe? -
Win XP Home SP2
Installed Firefox, but receive the following error message:
firefox.exe +application error +the application failed to initialize properly (0x0150004) +click on OK to terminate the application.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but same message. Firefox won't even open.Usually someone has been down the track before and occasionally they post some useful details which may help others to investigate and/or eliminate factors in their particular case.
This AccessibleMarshal.dll error seems to have a long history --- posts from 2006 with early Firefox versions had issues similar to yours.
There is a link and an excerpt below which could be worth checking in your case,
particularly since it mentions the problem would occur on a clean install (no previous instance of Firefox on the system and Windows before Vista --??)
Have a look here:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=712960
and the post to read:
'''Mark Banner (:standard8) 2011-12-22 12:55:21 PST'''
"Created attachment 583905 [details] [diff] [review]
Add the Win32 redistributable directory to the mozconfigs"
"Somehow we missed shipping the Win32 Redistributables from Visual C++. We didn't detect this as it would only show on Windows versions less than Vista, and you'd probably only see it if you had a completely clean install, and you didn't have the dlls installed elsewhere (as it appears my XP system does)."
"If you're seeing this then you want to copy the following files from a Firefox installation:
Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest
msvcm80.dll
msvcp80.dll
msvcr80.dll
The patch I'm attaching updates our configuration files to specify the Win32 redistribution directory, which will then cause the build system to include the files in the build."
.... ends....
The earlier 2006 instances also had the same issue in some cases:
forums.frontmotion.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=393
Hope this progresses the search and resolution.
Cheers -
The icon for Firefox 5 when pressed will show the following message firefox.exe-application error. the application failed to initialize (0xe06d7363) It does that 90% of the time then other times starts right up.
You should never respond to such unrequested pop-ups.
Doing that is the way to get malware as no decent program would use such methods to inform you about that.
Always use a close X to close such a pop-up and never click a button.
If you want to install malware then you make all buttons do that including a No or Cancel button.
Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database.

I just got my syslog server up & running and have been inundated with email notifications regarding login failures to our mail server (Exchange 2010). The hack attempts are easy to identify. I'm struggling with some attempts for current and past employees that are not coming from the web but appear to be internal.I've looked up w3wp.exe and it appears to be related to IIS, we are running version 7. This is not a domain controller. The IP address listed is not internal and does not nslookup to anything and Google shows it to be some geo IP tool that makes no sense to me.The logon type is 8. This appears to be password related in terms of being clear but since I don't know where it's coming from, it's hard to know why they are not blinded.Any assistance or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Everything I have found so far is for similar...

Thanks.Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Generally the error which you are facing occurs due to many different scenario. But the main reason to cause this will result from a corrupt or damaged version of the ntdll.dll file itself, corrupt hardware drivers, corrupt printer drivers, or issues between
Windows and other programs.
- Please run sfc /scannow from your command prompt.
- Delete the printer driver and re-install again with specific printing models.
Apart you can check below link for print spooler crash troubleshooting guides.

The error value is listed in the Additional Data section.
User Action
1. Open the file again. This situation might be a temporary problem that corrects itself when the program runs again.
2. If the file still cannot be accessed and
- It is on the network, your network administrator should verify that there is not a problem with the network and that the server can be contacted.
- It is on a removable disk, for example, a floppy disk or CD-ROM, verify that the disk is fully inserted into the computer.
3. Check and repair the file system by running CHKDSK. To run CHKDSK, click Start, click Run, type CMD, and then click OK. At the command prompt, type CHKDSK /F, and then press ENTER.
4. If the problem persists, restore the file from a backup copy.
5. Determine whether other files on the same disk can be opened. If not, the disk might be damaged. If it is a hard disk, contact your administrator or computer hardware vendor for further assistance.
Additional Data
Error value: 00000000

Can anyone shed any light on this? A few people online have had the same issue but our application is all instaleld locally to the machine and it's not making any requests/calls to any other servers etc.
any help is appreciated thanksDoes the vendor support this application on Windows Server 2012?
Just because it ran on an earlier version of Windows is no guarantee that the vendor has tested it and supports it on 2012.
