Event ID 2776 The worker process failed to initialise correctly and therefore could not be started
Hi All,
I'm getting the dreaded 503 Service Unavailable error on a freshly installed instance of SharePoint 2013 Foundation on a 2008 Server.
I get this error when I try opening the Central Administration Console.
It would appear that the worker process for the Central Administration console is crashing.
In the System event log, I see a stack of 5009 Errors:
Event Id 5009, WAS
A process serving application pool 'SharePoint Central Administration V4' has terminated unexpectedly.
Then I get an error:
Event id 5009, WAS
Application pool 'SharePoint Central Administration V4' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures.
What I see:
In IIS, Both these application pools have stopped:
SharePoint Central Administration v4
SecurityTokenServiceApplicationPool
If I start them up, then try accessing the Central Administration portal in IE, I get a 503 error, Service Unavailable
When I check out the pools in IIS Manager, both pools have stopped.
What I've tried:
Ensured the password Identity is correct for each pool (the one that was used during the install, DB Account)
Ensured that 32 bit Applications are disabled for both Application pools
Ensured that the DB Account user has the following policy rights:
Logon as a service
Logon as a batch job
Replace a process level token
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Jason
HI Jason,It seems that the issue is with the application pool only.make sure that the application pool is started and set with the correct credentials.please check the links below that explains more details of the issues.

The analyze process failed to complete correctly.
Hi,
I have customer who has a problem with ZPM 10.3.2. The error is "The analyze process failed to complete correctly.{}". Analyze.exe dies and shows message on workstation. I found TID 7009369 in which is explained that fix has been added to the ZENworks Patch Management subscription.
It is also stated :
"If you are still experiencing this error, ensure that you have the most current Patch Management updates applied (including updated remediate.exe and analyze.exe files)."
All workstations have ZCM 10.3.2 agent installed. Does that means that we should apply ZCM 10.3.3 patch to the zone and maybe "ZCM 11.0 and 10.3.3 - remediate error patch - see TID 7008538" (NOVELL: Downloads - ZCM 11.0 and 10.3.3 - remediate error patch - see TID 7008538) patch ?
Is it possible to use "ZCM 11.0 and 10.3.3 - remediate error patch - see TID 7008538" on ZCM 10.3.2 agents ? I know that has been some changes to the patch remediate function in ZCM 10.3.3 (patch scheduling) ...
Regards,
IvanIuuuuan,
the 10.3.3 files have not been tested against 10.3.2, but they should
work; if all goes well, though, we will have a new remediate and
analyze this week; I've been too busy working at BrainShare last week
to finish creating the patch, but it's high priority now.

FAIL - Application at context path /webapp could not be started
Hi,
I have the code under c:\my_name_ccview\source\code\MyWebApplication.
I use Netbeans 5.5.1 and bundled tomcat 5.5.17. I can compile and build the MyWebApplication.war file.
In the context file I defined <Context path="/webapp">
</Context>
When I try to deploy it to the bundled tomcat I get the error FAIL - Application at context path /webapp could not be started.
I also tried building the application and then try Run Debug without deploying application. Still the same problem. My application wont start. When I check the runtime tab on netbeans and check applications under bundled tomcat I see /webapp -[stop]
Please any help is much appreciatedWhat you should do is test ur application by deploying it in the examples folder of tomcat and them try to run it and it will work. But this is only the temporary solution.

The Firefox 4.0 home icon disappeared and I could not resotre it from custom.
In the past versions, I had a home icon in the menu bar. The new Firefox 4.0 does not provide a home icon. I tried to use customize to add the icon back, but I just could not find it. Please help!
Thanks! That icon color is barely visible. I never noticed it was there! I need to change it to more contrast color.

I get the above error when trying to deploy my web service (which is a very simple web service - very much on the lines of the HelloWorld web service).
Please help me fix this issue! What am I missing?As I had posted elsewhere, post the stacktrace.
There can be many reasons why your web app did not start. -

DB connect problem,Disp+Work.exe dies and the work processes die on startup
Dear Experts,
I am getting the error on SAP startup,Disp+Work.exe dies and the work processes die on startup.
I found below error in my DEV_W0 trace as below
*failed to establish conn to np:(local).*
*C Retrying without protocol specifier: (local)*
*C Provider SQLNCLI could not be initialized. See note #734034 for more information.*
*C Using provider SQLOLEDB instead.*
*C ExecuteAndFlush return code: 0x80040e14 Stmt: [if user_name() != 'pec' setuser 'pec']*
*C sloledb.cpp [ExecuteAndFlush,line 5989]: Error/Message: (err 4604, sev 0), There is no such user or group 'pec'.*
*C Procname: [ExecuteAndFlush - no proc]*
But i could see the user 'pec' is availble in my database users list with db_owner , public permissions also been assigned to it.
However When trying to delete a user on SQL server 2000, we recieve the message "You cannot drop the selected login ID because that login ID owns objects in one or more databases.".
Please refer the below work process trace and please suggest the possible solution..

I would greatly appriciate your quick response, Since it is a production issue.
Many Thanks,
VinodHi Rohit and Subhadip,
My problem was solved, thanks for your effort.
reason is that, user 'pec' not been associated with login user for the SQL server.
subha : when i execute the first command which you suggested, but couldn't find any user's list.
so i didn't tried with the second command. just to give a final try i have executed the script like below and its worked out.
USE PEC
GO
EXEC sp_change_users_login 'update_one','pec','pec'
GO
Now i see that all work process are starting,,,thank you so much rohit and subhadip
I could have try this first ,when you guys suggested since i couldn't find any output with the first command i didn't proceed with second one.
Since deleting and creating method doesn't seems to be a good, i have just to give a try executed the second command and its worked.
Thanks for your time and patience
Many Thanks,
Vinod -
Issue:
On a vanilla installation, the sandboxed code service (e.g. SPUCHostService.exe) is started; however, SPUCWorkerProcessProxy.exe and subsequently SPUCWorkerProcess.exe fails to start.
Resolution/Workarounds attempted:
Attempted 2 different Load balancing settings – local and remote (i.e. affinity)
Ensured local computer policy on server for ‘RPC Endpoint Mapper Client Authentication’ and ‘Restrictions for Unauthenticated RPC clients’ is disabled.
Ensured following key in registry is set properly - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\RPC
Attempted to bypass SharePoint’s check for certificate revocations at crl.microsoft.com
Ensured the service account is added to the respective groups (e.g. Performance Log Users, Performance Monitor Users, IIS_IUSRS, WSS_ADMIN_WPG, WSS_WPG)
Increased limit of ‘AbnormalProcessTerminationCount’ of SPUserCodeService via Powershell
We have tried all possible workarounds from the following MSDN reference:

Any other insights on how I can troubleshoot the issue described?
Thanks in advance!Hi ,
For resolving your issue , you can do as the followings:
1. Logged into the Web Server with the Timer Service Account.
2. Ran the powershell command to check the SID of the account running the spucworkerprocessproxy.exe:
$(Get-SPManagedAccount -Identity "THE SERVICE ACCOUNT").Sid.Value
3. Checked the registry :
HKEY_USERS\[SID OF THE SERVICE ACCOUNT]\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WinTrust\Trust Providers\Software Publishing\State
4. Changed the value 0x00023c00 to 0x00023e00

When trying to deploy a sandboxed solution containing only a feature with a simple associated event receiver from VS 2013, I'm getting the following error:
Error occurred in deployment step 'Add Solution': An unknown exception occurred while executing a sandboxed code solution request in the worker process.\r\n|0
I'm working in Visual Studio 2013, deploying to SharePoint 2013.
The SharePoint project is very basic. I've only added a feature and an associated event receiver. It works without the event receiver. Then after I simply add the event receiver I get the error.
I've tried deploying directly from VS 2013 as well as publishing to a .WSP and uploading via web interface. Same error reported using both methods. I'm doing this using an Administrator account that I've confirmed is a site collection administrator.
Additionally, I've found that if I change Sandboxed Solution to False, deploy it, retract it, then change Sandboxed Solution back to True, then I can successfully deploy it. But this doesn't seem to be a permanent solution as the error will resurface a day
or two later...Hi Steve,
Are you running your SharePoint 2013 on domain controller?

Hi i have deployed a sandbox solution using visual stdio2012 on share-point 2013 site at my local machine. when i tried to add web parts from custom folder to web part zone following error comes "An unknown exception occurred while executing a sand
boxed code solution request in the worker process."
how ever this is working on sharepoint online site. but not only on my local sharepoint site
Can anyone help me . reply will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Ritu RanjanGuYuming,
You have not yet addressed the original issue, please DO NOT mark this as answered. The suggestion to use the ulsviewer would only help in finding out more about the issue, but will not solve the unknown exception. I have been able to duplicate
the problem in my Development Environment and it seems to be related to permissions or running the SP 2013 "Development" environment on a Windows Server 2012 Domain Controller (to support single machine development).
Ritu Ranjan,
I found a post with a similar issue but might be related to this post as well.
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointadmin/thread/b7408608-c21b-45d9-bc16-e6afff510cd2. I tried switching the User Code Host account from the farm account to the App Pool account but the error stays the same.
Here is information from the ULS to provide more details to anyone who would like to help resolve this issue:

The worker process for application pool 'MSExchangeAutodiscoverAppPool' encountered an error
Hello Guys,
I am getting an event ID 2297 with the description given below.
The worker process for application pool 'MSExchangeAutodiscoverAppPool' encountered an error 'Cannot add duplicate collection entry of type 'add' with unique key attribute 'name' set to 'WSMan'
' trying to read global module configuration data from file '\\?\C:\inetpub\temp\apppools\MSExchangeAutodiscoverAppPool\MSExchangeAutodiscoverAppPool.config', line number '275'. Worker process startup aborted.
Could someone help me please to resolve this.
Thanks in Advance. :)
Regards Rishi AggarwalHi,
Based on the error message, it seems the issue is related to that there is a duplicate entry in the file it mentioned.
I recommend you follow Amit’s suggestions to check result.
Best regards,
Belinda Ma

When the Worker.State FAILED occurs in a Task?
How to detect that a Worker.State FAILED occurs in a Task? or to say when the Worker.State FAILED occurs in a Task? Is it when an exception happens in the call() method of Task?
Consider the code below:
import java.io.BufferedReader;
import java.io.InputStream;
import java.io.InputStreamReader;
import java.net.URI;
import java.net.URISyntaxException;
import java.net.URL;
import java.net.URLConnection;
import javafx.concurrent.Task;
* Background task to fetch the all classes documentation page from a URL
public class FetchDocListTask extends Task<String> {
private final String docsDirUrl;
public FetchDocListTask(String docsDirUrl) {
this.docsDirUrl = docsDirUrl;
@Override
protected String call() throws Exception {
System.out.println("---- FetchDocListTask docsUrl = " + docsDirUrl);
StringBuilder builder = new StringBuilder();
try {
URI uri = new URI(docsDirUrl + "allclasses-frame.html");
URL url = uri.toURL();
URLConnection urlConnection = url.openConnection();
urlConnection.setConnectTimeout(5000); // set timeout to 5 secs
InputStream in = urlConnection.getInputStream();
BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(
new InputStreamReader(in));
String line;
while ((line = reader.readLine()) != null) {
builder.append(line);
builder.append('\n');
reader.close();
} catch (URISyntaxException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
return builder.toString();
When the State.FAILED occurs? In fact, I want to write a code to simply detect whether the computer is connected to the internet. Hope for help~Yes. If the call() method exits due to an unhandled exception, the state property changes to FAILED. If a return statement is successfully executed, the state property changes to SUCCEEDED. There are no other possibilities.
You can test with something like:
import javafx.application.Application;
import javafx.concurrent.Task;
import javafx.concurrent.WorkerStateEvent;
import javafx.event.EventHandler;
import javafx.scene.Scene;
import javafx.scene.control.TextArea;
import javafx.scene.layout.BorderPane;
import javafx.stage.Stage;
public class TaskStateTest extends Application {
public static void main(String[] args) { launch(args); }
@Override
public void start(final Stage primaryStage) {
Task<Void> exceptionHandlingTask = new Task<Void>() {
@Override
protected Void call() throws Exception {
try {
throw new Exception("Boom");
} catch (Exception exc) {
System.out.println(exc.getMessage() + " handled");
return null;
Task<Void> exceptionThrowingTask = new Task<Void>() {
@Override
protected Void call() throws Exception {
throw new Exception("Boom");
// return null;
final BorderPane root = new BorderPane();
final TextArea textArea = new TextArea();
root.setCenter(textArea);
primaryStage.setScene(new Scene(root, 600, 400));
primaryStage.show();
registerHandlers(exceptionHandlingTask, "exceptionHandlingTask", textArea);
registerHandlers(exceptionThrowingTask, "exceptionThrowingTask", textArea);
Thread t1 = new Thread(exceptionHandlingTask);
Thread t2 = new Thread(exceptionThrowingTask);
t1.start();
t2.start();
private void registerHandlers(final Task<Void> task, final String msg, final TextArea textArea) {
task.setOnFailed(new EventHandler<WorkerStateEvent>() {
@Override
public void handle(WorkerStateEvent event) {
textArea.appendText(msg + " failed\n");
task.setOnSucceeded(new EventHandler<WorkerStateEvent>() {
@Override
public void handle(WorkerStateEvent event) {
textArea.appendText(msg + " succeeded\n"); -
Internal Memory of the Work Process
Hi Gurus,
wat will be stored in the internal memory area that is available exclusively to the work process.
I know that the memory area that can be accessed by all the work process stores programs,table buffers,
user context and possible the roll file.
But here im asking about the memory area that is available exclusively to a workprocess.
Cheers,
