Event linkage is getting disabled

Hi Experts,
I made some changes in my workflow and transported the same into my quality server.
but when i am trying to execute that workflow it is not creating any workitem and it is deactivating my event linkage.
please guide me i am stuck in this.

Probably you have to check SWEL to find what is wrong with the event triggering. Probably some mandatory parameter is not getting passed or some authorization issue.
You can also change the Feedback Upon Error in SWE2 for your Workflow template entry to DO NOT CHANGE LINKAGE. The vent linkage will not be deactivated such that events which are good will trigger event after the Error event.

Hi
If you have an error in the event linkage (could be a binding error, or an error in your business object), the event linkage will deactivated (the standard customizing).
You can change this behavior through transaction SWE2 -> double click on your event linkage -> change the "Behavior Upon Error Feedback". (I think you can change this globally but I'm not quite sure where)
In my book best practice here will be;
1. Use the event queue
2. Set the "Behavior Upon Error Feedback" flag to something like "Keep linkage but flag as having an error" - I'm not on the system so I'm not quite sure what it's called
By doing this you make sure that you will collect your event in the event queue, in case of an error.
or
In the detail screen of SWETYPV there's an option called Bahaviour upon error in receiver, if you change this to option 3 then the linkage won't be disabled in cases of errors.
Sometimes you want the event linkage to be disabled in cases of errors, espescially when the only reason that an error can occur is a very serious one.

How to ensure the event linkage of the Workflow active/enabled?

Dear Experts,
Iam new to the Workflow. We have one Workflow event linkage not activated/Enabled in the production system eventhough it was active in DEV as well as QA. We have transported the Customising request to enable event linkage in Production.
my question is why the event linkage is deactivated/disabled in Production?
is there any way to ensure that it (event linkage) will not be disable in production system? (please answer to this)

Hi
When there is an error in event, then linkage often gets broekn. In SWE2 or SWETYPV settings, Behaviour error upon feedback make it as do not change linkage.
This will sure that when there is an error, only that workflow will be in error mode and event linkage is not broken.

Workflow for PO-Event Linkage get unchecked after making Purchase Order

Hi,
I have a client reqiirement for setting Workflow for Purchase Order.
I have done all the settings for PO Workflow. I am getting the mail for the first time but from the second PO onwards I am not getting the mail.
When I checked the settings, the Event linkage in SWETYPV gets unchecked for BUS2012 Object Type automatically after making the first PO.
Again when I activate that, I am able to get mail for the first PO only. From the second onwards, no mail is triggered.
Could anyone suggest?

Hi,
I now have changed the "Behavior Upon Error Feedback" to "Mark Linkage as having Errors" in SWETYPV
After this change if I make a PO, the link doesn't get break but "Receiver Status" shows "Errors".
I could also see the overview of errors in Transaction code SWEQADM. It shows 3event with Errors and 1 linkage with errors.
I do not know in which event error is there and in which linkage error is there?
Can anyone help to see the events and linkage where error persists?

Reason and details for Deactivation of Event linkage in Production

Hi Friends,
Recently I have come across Event deactivation For AP invoice, Vendor Creation and Customer Creation workflows in Production, I have checked further and found that those are set as deactivate event linkage as default system behavior.
So that mean when ever an error will occur while event triggering then linkage will be disabled by the system.
Correct me if I am wrong.
So friends, my big doubt her is that What all are can be the reasons for that system error?

Hi,
While defining the Event linkage in SWETYPV ->
When ever u click on Business object it will open one new window ->
In that window -> There are four options to define in the field
Behaviour upon Error Feedback -> system defaults
                                                  Deactivation of linkage
                                                  Mark linkage as having errors
                                                  Do not change linkage
if the linkage is not activated as per the syatem defaults ( when ever error occurs)
You need to specify the type as -> Do not change linkage
Please check the four options once u will come to know the difference.

Through SWU0, we can get a list of workflows attached to a particular event of a business object.

Skype getting disabled

I have skype set up to auto start when my computer starts up. However it will randomly get disabled in my start up menu in the task manager in windows 8.1. Anyone know why this keeps happening?

Ahh ok. Well no it should not. If it's not a case of skype crashing (check event viever logs), it's probably another program (or setting) doing this. You could allways diasble the other non critical programs in startup, and see if it helps, then reenable them one by one.
Skype itself should only write to the registry key when told to (when you change it). So unless there is an issue in the version you are using, something else is doing this.
Do note that the regkey for autostart is user based (if nothing have changed), so skype might behave different for different user accounts on the same machine.

Event Linkage to Workflow

Hi,
I need to enable the Standard WF 1000105 PdvAppraisal for the Appraisal Approval/Rejection by Appraisee.
I enabled the Event linkage in the Trnx: SWETYPV.
Unlike the other WFs, this WF has the binding with the triggering Event deactivated.
I activated the binding, saved the WF. But after some time..approx 15 min, I check the binding linkage in other session and see it deactivated. The Linkage dint get saved actually. I am not sure of what might be the reason.

I assume that this workflow runs every 15 minutes or is activated after the period and an error occurs during runtime.
One possible cause might be that something in your workflow or even the standard SAP WF went wrong. I've watched this behaviour, too when coding some own workflows before.
This means that the workflow system will deactivate any faulty workflow in case sthg. went wrong.
Perhaps you can check using transaction SM58 for any RFC errors or look into ST22 for short dumps.
Of course you could also debug ot test methods using transaction SWUD. Transaction SWU0 allows you to test event linkage.

SCE 2010 Subscriptions getting disabled automatically

Hi Experts,
we are using SCE 2010 server from last 4 years. Of late i have been noticing that the subscriptions are getting disabled automatically. i manually enabled it after which it sends alerts but after couple of minutes the subscriptions get disabled again.
The database and hard drive spacing is fine. Let me know what could be the possible issue as in the event log i haven't noticed any alerts with regards to this issue.

When a subscription is created the user who created the subscriptions SID is associated with that subscription. There is a workflow that checks every half hour for SIDs no longer valid. They could be invalid because their accounts access that had been removed,
or possibly because the account has been disabled or deleted. I suggest you re-create the subscription with the current Admin.

Remove the help-desk access to user objects and see if it gets disabled again or not. :)
If you have third party tools which manage user accounts, review their configuration. FIM for example is one of the tools that has authority to disable/enable the accounts. Also If I had no clue what is going one I would enable auditing on user objects and
filter my security event viewer for user changes to see who is disabling them.

now i am getting alerts from Event Linkage.
Here i take the scenario Sales order change.
BOR object : BUS2032
Event : Changed
Receiver type : <my alert>
Receiver call : Function Module
Receiver Functiona Module : SALRT_CREATE_VIA_EVENT
Linkage is activated.
when a sales order is changed receiver function module triggering the alert which is defined in Receiver type. That i am getting in my alert inbox. Upto this.. it is cleared.
Now the scenario is.. about Alert Container
in alert container i take element is BOR Object type BUS2032.
the questions are..
1. Is it correct to defined BOR object here to get data when Sales order has been changed.
2. What are the properties i have to take in Properties tab?
3. How to use alert container parameters in short and long text?
Here my clear intention is when a sales order is changed.. i have to get the data related to that sales order and it has to show in Alert.

Checkbox gets disabled on custom screen

Hi All ,
I have a raise an error message on a custom screen which has an ALV grid display (OOPS ALV) .On top of the alv grid ,i have couple of checkboxes .
I have to raise error message based on the grid display values.The problem is ,if i raise error message ,the checkboxes get disabled and i have to go back and execute again correcting the problem .Instead the user wants to be in the same screen and should be allowed to correct .I am not able to do this .Please help me how to make the checkboxes active to input again without going back ??

Build the screen with 2 sub screen areas. In the top subscreen area ( selection screen )
, Have the 2 check boxes.
You can use
selection-screen begin of screen 800 as subscreen.
Parameters : var1 TYPE c AS CHECKBOX,
var2 TYPE c AS CHECKBOX.
selection-screen begin of screen 800 as subscreen.
You can use At selection screen events to throw an error but still be in the screen without an issue.
Have the ALV in the bottom subscreen area.
In the PBO for the main screen,
Call the subscreen 800 ( selection screen)
Call the subscreen ALV .

Event linkage properties

I have this alert warning in CCMS for the business process engine.
Event linkage properties is yellow. It says standard properties are set.
What is this about ? Why do we need event linkage and how do I stop this alert from getting triggered ?

Actually, you just need to schedule some jobs as described in ccms alert info.

File Gets picked up but the location gets disabled

Hi,
I have a sharepoint receive location that gets document from sharepoint library .
The issue is, the file gets picked up and processed but the receive location gets disabled after threshold.
Any suggestions on the cause and resolution?

The error says..
The adapter "Windows SharePoint Services" raised an error message. Details "Unable to connect to the SharePoint Site 'wsss://server:443/sites/MySite/MyLibrary?ViewName='. Verify that the Site exists and the URL has been specified correctly.
This error was triggered by the Windows SharePoint Services receive location or send port with URI wsss://server:443/sites/MySite/MyLibrary?ViewName=.
Windows SharePoint Services adapter event ID: 12464".
But as said, the file gets picked and deleted and the location gets disabled.

Thermal event with intelligent throttling disabled

Hi all
We have one Oracle unbreakable Linux installed on a HP DL380 G5. Since the install we've been getting error message Tmid Thermal event with intelligent throttling disabled.
We logged it with HP thinking it could be the memory, HP replaced the motherboard. Yet the message has not cleared. The server has 32GB memory. We removed a pair of memory en tested the server again. still the message appear. We repeated the process with all the modules. We then replaced it with new spare 2GB memory and still the message came back. Then we did a memtest still no luck.
I am now starting to wonder if the problem does not lay with the Kernel. (it seems to happen when our Oracle DBA are importing migrated tables and data)
Any ideas or steps to do more test or fix this issue. Not sure if we want to disable the message of showing.

Findings:
I spend nearly the whole day yesterday investigating this error. This is a bug in the current Kernel Version.

This bug is currently under investigation by Red hat Bugzilla.
Breakdown of Error:
error code is EDAC i5000 MC0
Edac is a memory stat tool in the kernel monitoring the RAM Memory for ECC memory
i5000 is the chipset memory controller for Intel
This error seems to happen the majority of the time on HP DL380 G5 and some servers of the Dell range.
Bios has its own memory stat tool. At the moment the EDAC stat tool is conflicting with the Bios monitor.
What we done:*
We done a memtest over 6 hr and it was successful
we tested the memory modules by removing pairs at a time
Then we put the original memory back in. (Spare memory)
HP replace motherboard
Still the message appear
Solution:
As the EDAC is only a memory Stat tool for the kernel and it does not have any impact on the OS or the server(none critical). We can blacklist (stop the error message for popping up) it until the next kernel release when this bug should be fixed.
Bios are already monitoring the memory via Bios Any memory failure or thermal event will be reported
The workaround for this problem is to prevent the i5000_edac module from loading. To do this, add the following line to the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist file then reboot server boot.
