Event manager messages /disconnections

I am trying to establish patterns to my disconnections by referrring to Event manager - but due to my inexperience I don't know the meaning/significance of the messages ! Can anyone explain the relevance of messages below please?
The background is I recently transferred from AOL where disconnections were rare (but lengthy if they happened).On BT they are much more frequent - but short.
My Home Hub 3 always shows all 3 lights as blue.
The messages i would like to know about are:
1.
DSL is down
When this happens (on average every 2 days) I have to restart my Home hub to get reconnected.
2.
PPPoA is down.
This happens several times a day but I get a PPPoA is up message after 30 seconds or so. No idea what it means
3.
OpenWiFi_1 IPSec connection is down
Again no idea what this means - but it happens several times a day
4.
3 consecutive beacons have not been transmitted
Again meaningless to me - but happens a lot.  Does it matter?
Perhaps there is a guide somewhere that explains event messages - but I haven't found it. Any help appreciated.

Are these the ADSL stats ? If not how do I get them?
And no , I decided not to bother about the accelerator.

    We are using Windows Server 2012 R2 as Remote Desktop Server. Also use Windows Server 2008 R2 with Remote Desktop Service Manager to control RDS user sessions (Send Message, Disconnect, Logoff, Query Info). 
    Send Message, Disconnect, Logoff options works only for users in Administrators group.
    I can't to configure permissions for Remote Desktop Users, specific user or AD group. 
    To set permissions I'm running RDS Host Configuration on Windows Server 2008 R2 and connect to Windows Server 2012 R2. Then double-click
    RDP-Tcp, Security tab, add specific user account , AD group or configure
    advanced permissions
    for Remote Desktop Users.  
    But, as I sad above, these options works only for users in Administrators group. How to make it work for Remote Desktop Users or specific user, AD group?

    You can prevent administrators from changing the permissions for a connection by applying the
    Do not allow local administrators to customize permissions Group Policy setting. 
    This Group Policy setting is located in Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Security
    Apart there is one command with which you can set the permission for that check the related

  • Homehub 3.0 Wireless Event Log messages

    Hello,
    Can anyone tell me what event log messages like the following mean?
    3 consecutive beacons have not been transmitted
    I'm getting these about once every 20 minutes.  Smart Wireless is enabled.
    A couple of days ago Wireless became unstable, devices connecting and reconnecting repeatedly. The Wireless light was randomly flashing on and off (Blue) every few seconds.  I had to restart the homehub (which I didn't really want to do, as I was still within my first 10 days, with Infinity).  But after the restart, the admin password had changed.  I assumed it was reset to the original one, but that was also not recognised.  I had to do a password override to get access.
    Ever since then Wireless has been behaving itself but I'm still left with these strange event log messages - google comes up with nothing.
    Any ideas?

    Although I've not had opportunity to obtain one of these hubs (BT are you listening), as I'm still on the hub 2, I'll try to help you out with this...
    It looks like the hub is reporting that it can't transmit the wireless signal on the chosen channels, why, I'm not too sure
    (this might be due to the design (how 'Smart Wifi' works), or dare I say it, the hub could be faulty!!!!!)
    Firstly, download either inSSIDer2 (Windows) or istumbler (MAC) - take care when installing, uncheck any 'additional freebies' as they're not needed.
    Either will show all the wireless SSIDs in your area. As I use inSSIDer2, I'll explain what to do using this one, I guess itsumbler would be similar (not a MAC man, yet!)
    Disconnect from your own hub, run inSSIDer and monitor any SSIDs, I recently noticed that 2 of my neighbours (VM) routers appears to grab channel 1 upto channel 7!
    This keeps changing and they keep fighting with each other. As this was affecting me, I've moved to channel 8. This can be manually set via the hub manager, but you'd probably need to switch off 'Smart Wifi'
    Ideally, take a screenshot of the results BUT remove ANY wireless SSID's, it's the channels in use that's important.

    Is your question related to allowing the registration for two programs on the same day at different locations? If yes, it will be giving a warning message that your training registration is overlapping with already regestered program. That to only when the time of the programs is same. You need to implement custom checks if you would like to resist from registring for such programs.
    Conceptually, it is always possible for a person to attend two programs in the same day at two locations (here location definition is company dependent and how do you define different locations of your company). So it wont resist from registring or infact if possible from participating as long as the schedule is not collaiding...

    I want to create appraisal feed back form or template in training & event management, where attendee can appraise the business event and instructor vis-a-versa.

    when I execute the t code PV00 than I found only business event type field instead of business event than why this message is displaying.
    Due to that message I am not able to book attendee to business event.

    Hi JM7HUB and welcome,
    No, you're not being hacked. It's to do with BTHub phone (Broadband Talk - BBT) and the hub, in your case the hub 2A.
    It's a test that BT seem to carry out, normally (IIRC) after a reboot of the hub or possibly at random times - it's been a long time since I used BBT. I'll guess there are some random names mentioned on some of the other VOIP events?
    If you don't use a BBT, you can turn this off by entering the hub manager - type bthomehub.home or 192.164.1.254 in to your browser, click settings, advanced settings, continue to adavnced settings, telephony - there should be an option there to turn it off. This should then stop the events.
    edit. The telephone light on the hub will go out, but any registered hub phone should still operate as a 'normal' phone using your landline number.

    I am a student of informations systems and currently I am writing my bachelor-thesis about SAP Transportation Management 7.0 and SAP Event Management 7.0 in view of Supply Chain Event Management focused on a Fulfillment-Process. I have a few questions belongs to the practicability of this process with SAP TM 7.0.
    Usually you use SAP APO to implement SCM-Fulfillment-Processes. But instead of using SAP ERP LES it is also possible to use SAP TM for Transportation Management especially for Transportation Planning, Execution and Service Provider Selection (Integration between SAP ERP LES and SAP TM e.g. via IDocs), isn't it?
    I have got a few experience in customizing SAP TM and SAP EM for a Transportation Execution (FCL) and Tracking Szenario. For this reason, i want to implement e.g. a partial re-planning of the Transportation Execution in SAP TM if there is a variation between planned and actual data (e.g. because of traffic jam).
    I don't want to know, how to implement this in SAP TM, I just want to know, if is it reasonable to implement this and the scenario above with SAP TM? Or is it recommend to use SAP APO only?

    Hello guys,
    currently we are handling some problems with the integration of SAP Event Management and SAP Transportation Management. Both are running on the same system.
    The Situation:
    I had set up a RFC-Connection between SAP EM and SAP TM. In SAP TM I definied the corresponding settings for EM-Relevance of SRQ. In "Integration with other mySAP.com Components" I defined, the Business Process Types, Application Objects Types and the Event Types.
    After creating a SRQ, I got the message, that event tracking for the expected shipment request type is activated. While debbuging I found out, that SAP TM found the corresponding Business Proccess Type and Application Object Type to the Shipment Request Type. SAP TM also found the Event Manager which I defined in  "Integration with other mySAP.com Components" --> "Define EM" and got the RFC-Destination.
    The Problem is, after creating a SRQ there is no message in the Application Log, like "Event Handler was created successfully". The corresponding tables are empty, too.
    Has got anybody an idea? Maybe the configuration of the RFC-Connection is wrong or something else?

  • Batch processing with Script Events Manager

    Hello all,
    I use the Script Events Manager to run a group of actions on a single file during the file open event.
    This workflow works well when dealing with a small quantity of files.
    Is there an efficient way to apply simultaneously a group of actions to folder of images?
    The PSCC Batch processor, Image Processor and Image Processor Pro only allow the use of one action at a time.
    I have try creating a combo action which includes a group of actions to run in the Batch Processor and Image Processor.
    When doing so I receive an error message from the Image processor and dialogs that from the Batch processor that suspend
    the program activity. I have had no luck with a combo droplet as well.  

    My system has 8 Gb of Ram and 4 processors. I doubt it's the system. I've had problems with CS Master Collection since day one. My main complaint is the ******* tabs and interface. Everything is so chunky. CS2 was smooth as butter. They keep making their products use more RAM and it's ridiculous. The tabs don't help, they only make life harder.
    Thanks for the suggestions, I was hoping not to have to reinstall PS, but looks like it's the only option.

  • LSO vs. Traning & Event Management

    Hello,
    does anyone know in what way you can use LSO normally?
    I am looking not really for a Training System but for something like Event Management handling.
    Secnario is like this:
    Company A offers lots of different courses. People from outside (other companies, vendors.. ) should be able being posted onto the specific course. themselves, -> via web.
    After the couse has taken place each particpant should get an invoice and a certificate.The invoice should be posted direckty to FI. (SAP)
    So my problem is now:
    I know in a way Training & Event Management. I think most of the things could be done with it. But TM is a bit complicated.
    Now comes my questions:
    Is LSO a substitute for TM? Or is it possible to use LSO in my above mentioned way.

    This is my understanding of LSO and TEM.
    LSO - By itself contains the following components.
    Training Management
    Learning Portal
    And
    Yes LSO and TEM are different , as they address different needs of the customer.
    and
    LSO may also be termed as an alternative for TEM.
    May be you can go thro the IMG documentation for LSO, to find out the changes in the infotypes that need to be done for LSO.
    In case if u like to know about LSO.
    You log onto Service Market place and traverse the following path.
    SAP Support Portal -->Knowledge Exchange > Ramp-up Knowledge Transfer> mySAPHR.

    So when an flex connect access-point is disconnected the port becomes an access-port.
    I don't want to use the MAC address.

    Benefits for using LAG is increased bandwidth, and redundancy - especially if you have the two (or more in the case of a 5508 WLC) ports connected to different physical switches, eg a 3750 stack.

  • DRM Event Manager will not restart

    We reloaded the backup from last night into the DRM module to recover from issues within our hierarchy.
    Stopped service including IIS.
    Starting services, the MDM Event Manager will not restart. Seems to be throwing an error about a Unique Constraint violation in MDM N Tier Process Manager as well as a parameter incorrect.
    Any ideas?

    According to your description, my understanding is that you can’t shut down the file server by normal ways, and it hangs at the "shutting down" message for more than 60 minutes. Only way is to press the power button to force the shutdown.
    When Windows Server shuts down, messages are sent to the devices/system services/programs that are installed on the computer to notify them that Windows is preparing to shut down. The operating system waits for responses from programs that are running to
    make sure that the programs save unsaved data to the hard disk and shut down properly.
    Faulty or incompatible device drivers, programs, system services that either do not respond correctly or send busy request messages to the system are typical causes of shutdown problems
    You may use Task Manager to identify the cause of the shutdown behavior. For each program that is listed in Task Manager, manually quit the program, and then shut down and restart the computer to test if the shutdown problem is resolved.
    If the shutdown behavior occurs immediately after you make a change to the computer, undo any recent changes to the computer.
    Use safe mode to restart the server, and confirm that if the problem are caused by faulty drivers, programs, or services that start automatically.

  • CSM 4.5 Event Manager for IOS firewall on routers?

    Hi,
    Can anyone confirm fo me whether it's possible to send syslog messages from routers running IOS firewall feature set to CSM, so that the events appear in CSM Event Manager, similar to the way that ASA's do?
    I've setup one of my routers to do this and have confirmed using wireshark that the syslog packets are received on the CSM 4.5 machine, but they don't seem to turn up in Event Manager.
    This would be an extremely useful feature if I can get it to work!
