Event name font problem, take 2 (or 3)
in all of Apple's marketing materials, the font of the display name of each event is a lovely bright bold white, and it's centered under each event. in many people's versions of iphoto 08 (mine included), it's an ugly drab, left-justified and tucked a little under the poster frame of the event. I've read a few things about fonts, and I've tried clearing my cache, disabling and re-enabling Helvetica, and running Font Finagler (which essentially just cleared my cache again). has anyone figured this out? there's also the issue of editing an event name; when I click on the name, it turns into what appears is an editable field but I cannot type in it. I must use the information panel on the lower left. if the field was never meant to be edited, then why would it turn white like that? I hope I don't have to go to a genius to fix this, since it seems like a small thing.
jeddinbrooklyn:
In your Applications folder is an application called Font Book. Launch it, and go down the list of fonts. You'll see Helvetica Neue as one of the fonts. If you have the new iMac, it's probably installed.
If you're seeing your event titles aligned to the left, and looking different from the iPhoto '08 you see on the web and in the store, then you have a problem with the fonts.db cache file.
We're just users like you so we don't know why the problem exists on some Macs, but I've seen it once and I've seen it on one or two other computers owned by others.
Note that "cache" files are simply created by your OS to speed up things that you've already done once. The fonts.db file is such a cache file that will be recreated. It wasn't "Factory installed" as you might think, but is created as soon as you start up.
1) If you don't believe what I'm saying, try this:
2) Double-click your hard drive icon
3) Open the folder called Library
4) Open the folder called Caches
5) Open com.apple.ATS
6) In EACH folder that is inside this com.apple.ATS folder, there is a file called fonts.db (I have two folders, "System" and "501" that each have this file)
7) Select each "fonts.db" file and Cmd-Delete. A dialog will appear asking you for your admin name and password, provide it
8) The files are in your trash but still being used by the system.
9) Restart.
10) Launch iPhoto '08. You should be fine now.
If you're worried about the "factory installed" files, go to step 1) through 6). You will see the files re-created, and hopefully your problem will be solved. You can empty the trash if you're satisfied.
I've been using Macs long before iPhoto was around, and if there's one thing I won't do, it's post information that will cause problems. I even try out the procedure on my own iMac first if I am not sure what it will do.

C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txtHi Sasikala,
The forum supports .net framework setup. I think your issue is not about the installation of .net framework.
You could use the .NET Framework Setup Verification Tool to verify the installation state of one or more versions of the .NET Framework

I think your error is about your code. Have you debugged your code? And what the detailed error message did you get? What technique did you use in your code? WPF? I suggest you go to the related forum for better support.

The application runs queries to fetch data from database in SQL server 2008, and for that I am using a Microsoft SQL Native Client 2008 R2 64 bit ( this is the only version that installs on either PC, even the one on which I developed my LV Application).
I am not using any driver, only toolkits for reports - and for that I un-checked the "Remove unused polymorphic VI instances" when making the executable, otherwise LV throws up an exception that share variable are not being included.
Yes I did reboot every time after I ran the installation.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get itunes to launch properly afterwards? -

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 installed?
How far into the opening of the program do you get? Do you get to the Expert or Quick workspaces?
And, if so, how long can you stay there? What are you doing when you get this message, opening a new project
or opening an existing one that has been saved/closed or just trying to launch the program from the desktop icon.
Are you running the program Run As Administrator and from a User Account with Administrative Privileges?
Do you have the McAfee antivirus program? Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer
with Premiere Elements 12?
What video card/graphics card does your computer use? Have you verified at the web site of the manufacturer of the
card that the video card/graphics card driver is up to date?
If you do not know, check the Device Manager/Display
Adapters to determine if you have 1 or 2 cards.
Depending on your answers, the next step will be
Uninstall the program the usual Control Panel way.
(If you can get into the program long enough to go to Help Menu/Sign Out, please do that to deactivate the program
before going to the uninstall in Control Panel area.)
Do a run through with ccleaner (both the regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts) to get rid of leftovers from
incomplete uninstalls and reinstalls.
https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
Reinstall the program with the antivirus and firewalls disabled.
(If you have McAfee as the antivirus, that may be problem, and we can take care of that without having to go
through this uninstall/ccleaner/reinstall.)
Let us start here and then decide what next.
Thank you.

Each time I try to synch photos from my Windows7 PC to my iPad2, iTunes stops working and the error message is:

I reloaded iTunes 10 (64 bit) successfully, but the problem remains the same.
Any suggestions?I looked in the folder from which I want to synch photos, but there is no such thing as an "ipod photo cache" in that folder, or sub-folders, as suggested in the link which you were nice enough to provide.
I have also tried removing photos from my iPad2 Photos App, and "iTunes has stopped working" shows up again as soon as I click on the "Synch photos from" button. -

Similarly, when I try to play media on iTunes, or when my iPhone is backing up, I get a message saying iTunes has stopped working with the error:

Additional Information 4: Same as 2We'd better check to see if some other application has stashed old versions of QuickTime componentry down in your system files.
So we'll go looking for the older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files ... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.) -
HP OJ4680 Problem Event Name APPCRASH -after Vista- Win 7 upgrade
Upgraded a Toshiba Satellite U400 to Winows 7 32-bit from Vista. Connected to my HP Officejet J4680 to print some documents and printer has troubleshooting flag. Need an urgent solution to print my boarding pass.
ThanksThe only solved thread on this I could find on this error is here.
From what I read, the steps are very lengthy, but they do work.
Most important thing to do before you continue, is to follow the steps to back up all your files before proceeding. That being said however, as you need to urgently print a boarding pass, I would suggest borrowing another computer, or printing them out at an airport kiosk if available. The troubleshooting provided in the link above looks like it's a few hours worth of steps.
Regards, Wally

I have tried reloading the iTunes player but same thing happens after selecting it.For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.
