Event on Mouse Click Released in a Picture ring

Hello All.
I have a picture ring in my program. I have made its callback function and the default event i.e. EVENT_COMMIT occurs behind the code and it actually performs event on click. Now i want to make its action happen not on click but when i release my mouse click. i,e, i want to make event happens when i release my mouse click. Is there any other event for that or what should i do
Regards.

What about EVENT_LEFT_CLICK_UP?

  • Trigger event on mouse click over image window

    How can I use an event structure to pick up on a mouse click on an IMAQ window in Labview. Specifically, I want to pick up a click with the 'select point' tool.

    To work in a Winddraw window, will not want to use the Event Structure, but instead the WindLastEvent. This will allow you to capture the events that occur in the Winddraw window. Attached are two examples, one I wrote using events so users can set up ROI's and the other is using events in LabVIEW with a picture control on the front panel so user can select an ROI.
    I hope this helps!

  • Using mouse event for right click or scroll

    I would like someone to guide me that if there is any events which can be used for right click of the mouse or the scroll of the mouse(specially the scroll). Until now all the mouse event i have been using is based on the left mouse click, release......  So could anyone guide me how to use the right click and scroll of the mouse using actionscript.
    Thank you!

    You should try searching the forums using the key terms related to what you are after.  I don't think you'll find much help for the right click though... appears to not be supported by Flash.  Below is a link to one result for the mouse scroll from just the other day... you can probably find more if it does not help.

  • Mouse over and Mouse Click function

    Hi,
    I have to add a mouse over event and mouse click event in my rectangles that I draw while taking the values from an input file. Now since I am taking rectangle height and width from the input text file as well I also want to take a text value to be shown while moving a mouse over a particular rectangle from my input file. Also when he clicks on that rectangle the height and width of that particular rectangle only should be displayed (re-adjusted).
    Like suppose my input file has 3 fields:-
    Height   Width  Test_To_Show
    10          23         Hello
    20          44         ByeNow When my paint component draws these 2 rectangles and a user moves his mouse over the rectangle he should see text message attached to it:- Like for first row 10, 23 he should see "Hello". In this case when he clicks on this rectangle the picture should read just to show only 10 and 20 as height and width. Now the problem is I am confused where to add the mouse and mouse click event function.
    Some of my code looks like this in paintcomponent method:-
            for(int i=0; i<myobject.size(); i++){
                Coloring fc = myobject.get(i);
                GradientPaint gpi = new GradientPaint(0, 0,c.getColor() , 0, 20, Color.white, true);
                g2d.setPaint(gpi);
                g2d.drawRect(fc.value1, 29, fc.mywidth, 83);
                g2d.fillRect(fc.value1, 29, fc.mywidth, 83);
                                                }Where should I attach the mouse event to g2d object / fc / myobject ? I am not sure since I am using mouseover function for the first time.
    Thanks

    I am planning to add these 2 in my paint component method
                fc.addMouseMotionListener(this);
                fc.addMouseListener(this);and then create 2 functions like this :-
          public void mouseEntered(MouseEvent e) {
                  //I will be reading from a file and then pass the string that I want to show as text while mouse over
                   String s = // takes value from the inpuf file.
                      fc.setText(s);
    public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) {
                 //same way reading from the file ... Not sure how I will do this one
                 }Would it be the correct way to do it ? I am doing mouse over functions for the first time so donno much about there usage.
    Thanks

  • Mouse Clicked gets lost some times.

    Hello All,
    The scenario is that i have a tree and the doubleclick on the tree node openes a view with some information. Also the node has some childrens. Sometimes when i double click the node, the tree node gets expanded but my view does not get opened. This was due to mouseclicked does not arrive with click count as 2.
    In my code double click handling is done in the mouseclicked event. The code looks like
    public void mouseclicked(MouseEvent ev) {
    if(ev.getClickCount() == 2) {
    .......//Opens a view
    In some cases when i double click, mouse clicked is triggered only once with click count as one. But the mousepressed and mousereleased is triggered twice with clickcount 1 and 2 resp. I am not sure is this a valid behaviour. Please find below the traces of events.

    });If we double click on a node which is having child nodes, then it will collapse/expand when double click on it.
    In all cases I am getting the display "mouseClicked" when doing double click.

  • How can I (neatly) control mouse click events in a multi-dimensional array?

    Hello everyone!
         I have a question regarding the use of mouse clicks events in a multi-dimensional array (or a "2D" array as we refer to them in Java and C++).
    Background
         I have an array of objects each with a corresponding mouse click event. Each object is stored at a location ranging from [0][0] to [5][8] (hence a 9 x 6 grid) and has the specific column and row number associated with it as well (i.e. tile [2][4] has a row number of 2 and a column number of 4, even though it is on the third row, fifth column). Upon each mouse click, the tile that is selected is stored in a temporary array. The array is cleared if a tile is clicked that does not share a column or row value equal to, minus or plus 1 with the currently targeted tile (i.e. clicking tile [1][1] will clear the array if there aren't any tiles stored that have the row/column number
    [0][0], [0][1], [0][2],
    [1][0], [1][1], [1][2],
    [2][0], [2][1], [2][2]
    or any contiguous column/row with another tile stored in the array, meaning that the newly clicked tile only needs to be sharing a border with one of the tiles in the temp array but not necessarily with the last tile stored).
    Question
         What is a clean, tidy way of programming this in AS3? Here are a couple portions of my code (although the mouse click event isn't finished/working correctly):
      public function tileClick(e:MouseEvent):void
       var tile:Object = e.currentTarget;
       tileSelect.push(uint(tile.currentFrameLabel));
       selectArr.push(tile);
       if (tile.select.visible == false)
        tile.select.visible = true;
       else
        tile.select.visible = false;
       for (var i:uint = 0; i < selectArr.length; i++)
        if ((tile.rowN == selectArr[i].rowN - 1) ||
         (tile.rowN == selectArr[i].rowN) ||
         (tile.rowN == selectArr[i].rowN + 1))
         if ((tile.colN == selectArr[i].colN - 1) ||
         (tile.colN == selectArr[i].colN) ||
         (tile.colN == selectArr[i].colN + 1))
          trace("jackpot!" + i);
        else
         for (var ii:uint = 0; ii < 1; ii++)
          for (var iii:uint = 0; iii < selectArr.length; iii++)
           selectArr[iii].select.visible = false;
          selectArr = [];
          trace("Err!");

    Andrei1,
         So are you saying that if I, rather than assigning a uint to the column and row number for each tile, just assigned a string to each one in the form "#_#" then I could actually just assign the "adjacent" array directly to it instead of using a generic object to hold those values? In this case, my click event would simply check the indexes, one at a time, of all tiles currently stored in my "selectArr" array against the column/row string in the currently selected tile. Am I correct so far? If I am then let's say that "selectArr" is currently holding five tile coordinates (the user has clicked on five adjacent tiles thus far) and a sixth one is being evaluated now:
    Current "selectArr" values:
           1_0
           1_1, 2_1, 3_1
                  2_2
    New tile clicked:
           1_0
           1_1, 2_1, 3_1
                  2_2
                  2_3
    Coordinate search:
           1_-1
    0_0, 1_0, 2_0, 3_0
    0_1, 1_1, 2_1, 3_1, 4_1
           1_2, 2_2, 3_2
                  2_3
         Essentially what is happening here is that the new tile is checking all four coordinates/indexes belonging to each of the five tiles stored in the "selectArr" array as it tries to find a match for one of its own (which it does for the tile at coordinate 2_2). Thus the new tile at coordinate 2_3 would be marked as valid and added to the "selectArr" array as we wait for the next tile to be clicked and validated. Is this correct?

  • Mouse Clicks/Positons in Pictures!

    Even a guru learns new things...
    I just discovered the use of a picture control/indicator to detect mouse positions and clicks! What a wonderful thing. I have LabVIEW 6.0.2, and have, up to now, not known about this. To all those out there who I recommended to use the mouse click API for Windows, I apologize. This is such a marvelous way to get Mouse information. It's easy, efficient, and completely held within LabVIEW.
    If anyone is wondering what I am talking about, go to Help>Examples in LabVIEW and go to the Examples>Advanced Examples>Picture Control Examples>Mouse Control.vi to see what I mean. I didn't realize that if you dropped a picture control (even as an invisible object!) on the front panel that you could use prop
    erty nodes to get x and y positions, and also the left, right, shift left or right, and third mouse button click information.
    Of course, I hear that this may all be somewhat obsolete in LabVIEW 6.1, but for those still using 6.01 or earlier, it's a great tool that means you don't have to mess with API, MFC or dlls.
    Any comments or questions?

    Hi,
    This is ideal for some applications, you can even build drag/drop functions
    into a picture control using this. But there are some backdraws (or one very
    big one);
    The picture control needs to be the control on front.
    The picture control needs to cover the entire area you need information on.
    This implies that normal functions of controls and indicators cannot be
    used, not even simply clicking on a button...
    It also makes the screen updates take a lot more proccessor time, because
    controls/indicators are overlapping. In the example for instance, the charts
    are not clear to read, because they're flickering.
    Regards,
    Wiebe.

    Hello
    Simple problem - don,t know how to solve it.
    With Premiere CC when I try to do a selection (click... drag... release the click) very often it stop way before the end of the move I'm swinging the Magic Mouse. I taught that the mouse clicking was defective and went to get a new Magic Mouse after lots of frustration. Today, I have an edit to do it it does the SAME thing !!
    I was like ????#$%?&*(???
    Opened all the lights and taught I've trow the new mouse to the garbage and was using the defective mouse again... no !! - ??
    Actually, the bran new mouse is doing the same thing. What I understand after investigating on the motion and watching carefully my fingers !! -  is that when I click I have to keep my finger at the EXACT same place on the mouse... drag and release and it's fine. If I click by pushing on the mouse and my finder is moving of a 1/32th of a millimeter, it will release and my selection will be to redo. You can understand my frustration ! - 75$ later... same problem, but I know that if I click with about 5 pounds of pressure and trying to pass my finger through the plastic of the mouse, it you stay steady and make it !
    The problem is that scrolling is enable while clicking and it bugs.
    How to disable it ??
    Simple question - can't find the answer !

    Helllooo !?
    sorry but the Magic Mouse is just useless with the new Adobe Premiere CC and since I'm not the only one but can't find answer this is really disappointing. This mouse is just fantastic and now I have to swap from a USB mouse to the Magic Mouse every times I do some editing. My USB mouse if hurting my hand somehow and I want to got back to the Magic Mouse asap. Please - for sure there is a simple solution !
    Thanks !!

  • What is the recommended way to handle mouse click events for custom nodes that subclass Panes?

    Hi,
    I have created a custom node that is a StackPane containing a Label on top of a Polygon.
    import javafx.scene.control.Label;
    import javafx.scene.layout.StackPane;
    import javafx.scene.paint.Color;
    import javafx.scene.shape.Polygon;
    public class CustomHexagon extends StackPane {
        private Polygon hexagon;
        private Label overlayText;
        public CustomHexagon( String text, double... points ) {
            this.hexagon = new Polygon( points );
            this.overlayText = new Label( text );
            overlayText.setStyle( "-fx-font-weight: bold;" );
            hexagon.setStroke( Color.GREEN );
            hexagon.setStrokeWidth( 5.0 );
            hexagon.setFill( Color.WHITE );
            this.getChildren().addAll( hexagon, overlayText );
    // Lays out the node where it should be according to the points provided for the Polygon.
            this.setLayoutX( points[0] - getLayoutBounds().getMinX() );
            this.setLayoutY( points[1] - getLayoutBounds().getMinY() );
    // Show the border of the StackPane.
            this.setStyle( "-fx-border-color: black; -fx-border-width: 1; -fx-border-style: dashed;");
        public String getOverlayText() {
            return overlayText.getText();
    I want to display a tesselation of these custom hexagons. Because a CustomHexagon is a StackPane, not a Polygon, MouseClick events can be picked up when the mouse is clicked outside of the stroke of the hexagon but still within the StackPane (which takes up a rectangle larger than the hexagon). The following program demonstrates this.
    public class Main extends Application {
        @Override
        public void start(Stage primaryStage) {
            Group root = new Group();

    After running this program, when one clicks within the intersection of two StackPanes (borders shown by dashed lines), the target of the mouse click event will be the StackPane on top as determined by the order in which they were added to their parent.
    This is a problem because there is only a small "T" shaped area within each hexagon that when clicked will target that hexagon with an event, rather than adjacent nodes.
    I would appreciate any reccomendations to solve this problem.
    Thanks,
    James Giller

    Hello, this is an evergreen. Just call setPickOnBounds(false) on the CustomHexagon.

  • Event Handlers of a mouse click

    In the simplest way possible please tell me how to do an event handler for a mouse click.
    private int clickCounter = 0;
    private void MyCanvas_MouseLeftButtonDown(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e)
    if (Device1RB.IsChecked == true)
    clickCounter++;
    return;
    else if (RemoveRB.IsChecked == true)

    case 5:
    //code here
    break;
    default:
    //code here??
    break;
    This is what I have and I apparently need an event handler for the mouse click. Also if there is an easier way to do what I want then please point me in the right direction.

    I still can't figure out why its not working.

  • Pass Mouse click events from JavaScript to Falsh Movie

    Hi,
    I have an interesting problem here.
    i am trying to create a web page which has my
    flash-presentation movie. i need to disable mouse click &
    keyboard click navigation of the flash movie. The only way by which
    i can navigate my slide in the flash movie should be using 2
    buttons say Next & Prev that are i my web page.
    when i click the Next button i should be able to go to the
    next slid or the animation in the same slide like how i do in the
    power Point.
    Is there any way by which i can send these mouse click
    events from my javascript to my flash movie or is there any other
    means by which i can achieve this.
    ~Blackperil

    Hi Mathias,
    What i understood is that you want to triger a server side event (simulate onClick event of button)from a client side event (javascript confirm popup), based on the choice of user..
    You can also try this one...
    Check = confirm("Do you really want to proceed?");
    if (Check == true)
    document.getElementById('do_proceed').click();
    else
    document.getElementById('do_cancel').click();

  • Bing Maps on IE 11 browser, The mouse click event is only working when we have compatibility mode on.

    I have tried out the code in this article in ASP.Net web forms with c#  and javascript.

    My code works great on IE 11 , when I have compatibility mode on,
    but when compatibility mode is off, the mouse click event is not being received by the Javascript function.
    Is this expected behavior of bing maps, Are there any workarounds for this problem?

  • How can I capture mouse click events on BSP or Web Dynpro ABAP Screen

    hi Guys,
    Currently we have a user inactivity problem,
    the requirement is: if user is clicking on BSP/Web Dynpro ABAP screen, he/she is considered active. so we need an mechanism to capture the mouse click event.
    Using Firebug, we found that this js is in the iframe which contains BSP/web dynpro scrren: /sap/public/bc/ur/nw5/js/languages/urMessageBundle_en.js
    we want to find this js file & put in some javascript code to track user's mouse click, but i cannot find it on server.
    while in ie if we type http://host:port/sap/public/bc/ur/nw5/js/languages/urMessageBundle_en.js
    this file can be downloaded, means this file is there.
    Any one can help on this issue? find the js file or another way to capture the mouse click event.
    Thanks a lot with points!

    Hi  Feng Guo,
                        We can not capture mouse click events on Web Dynpro ABAP Screen . I am not sure about BSP. But as for as I know the portal keep active the iViews until unless mouse clicks happens.
    But for your problem I think you can get solution by setting iView Expiration to some more time period.

    Siva
