So since The Last of Us has had a snazzy new remastering and is now on the fabulous PS4! So has The Last of US event! We now have a brand new event starting on Monday 4th August at 9pm GMT called The Last Stand Remastered Since we are the last humans on this old planet of ours, we have each picked a side and so do you need to choose a side to survive! You cant go alone.... Will you pick the Hunters side a group of survivors from a quarantine zone. They need you to help defend their territory, leave no stone unturned for supplies & let nothing stand in your way? Or will you side with the Fireflies an organised militia group that believes in a cure! & that will fight for that belief. They need your help in finding a cure & stopping at nothing to find it, no matter who or what gets in the way! We shall have 2 teams of 4 people fighting it out for total domination & to see which of you will survive the onslaught! We shall be playing 3 modes of online fun: Supply Raid - Join your team to scavenge supplies from the area to keep your clan alive! Each team has 20 lives & once that total has been reached we go into sudden death! Crafting items & supplies in this mode carry over when you die so make the most out of the crafting opportunities. Survivors - This mode is very unforgiving; there are no respawns in each round. Once a team has been defeated, both teams move on to the next round. Victory is when enough wins have been accumulated by either side to declare an overall winner of the best out of seven rounds. Crafting items & supplies do not carry over between rounds, so make sure you use anything you create quickly. Interrogation - This mode is completely different from both, instead of just killing you have to interrogate the opponents (done the same as a Special Execution) to find info that reveals their lockbox. Once your team has gathered enough interrogations then you will have the location of their box and will be able to try to crack it. It takes 4 quarters to unlock their lockbox, but in the mean time they can still be trying to interrogate you to find your lockbox. The team who wins is the one who gets the box open first, or if the time runs out it is established by which team was closest to open the other teams box. We also engage in special rounds where you can only use your fists and items you can craft in combat (no weapons allowed), or where we select specific weapons only.... like a bows only round If you had had The Last of Us on the PS3 and have tried the event before, but which to see it in its new glory.... or if you have waited for The Last of Us to come on to PS4 and are a newby to the multiplayer, or a mixture of both feel free to join us for some Monday night fun with the community! My CD Rom can read the disc just fine, however it is also a DVD player as well. So Why am I getting the 5002 message.

Trying to create a new movie. It tells me to name my movie, and the only event choice is the last movie I made. I don't want it there. I'm lost and I'm just starting. Not sure I like the new version. Any help out there?

My latest photos are missing, however they are not uploading into the PhotoStream.. (very slowly), they are not in the last import or in events... where are they ?

I uploaded around 200 photos into iphoto, I worked on these photos breifly, cropping and deleting some, then iphoto crashed.. and when I relaunched it the photos were missing from both the events section and the last import showed nothing. I also looked in the Trash for the deleted photos, and that was empty too..
Now the photos are reappearing in PhotoSteam, all be it very slowly... I cant seem to find the orginals anywhere... I have tried to reoganise the events by ascending and descending to see if they are hiding... but I am unable to see any evidence of them.
Can anyone help. My computer is about 1 week old, however I did take all the photos from my Mac Notebook, which I think has taken some dodge

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I am able to pipe the results to a file however, I would like to convert it to CSV/HTML When i try "convertto-HTML"
function it converts certain values . Also,
a) I would like to remove duplicate entries when the script runs only for that execution.
b) When the script is run, we may be able to search for records after the last run and not search in the same

If you just want to look for the new events since the last run, I suggest to record the EventRecordID of the last event you parsed and use it as a reference in your filter. For example:

That's this logic that the Server Manager of Windows Serve 2012 is using to save time, CPU and bandwidth. The problem is how to get that number and provide it to your next run. You can store in a file and read it at the beginning. If not found, you
can go through the all event list.
Let's say you store it in a simple text file, ref.txt

This is very lazy check. You can do a proper parsing etc... That's a quick dirty way. If I can read
it and parse it as an integer, I use it. Else, I just set it to 0 meaning I'll collect all info.
Then include it in your filter. You Get-WinEvent becomes:

At the end of your script, store the last value you got into your ref.txt file. So you can for example get that info in the loop. Like:

And at the end:

Then next time you run it, it is just scanning the delta. Note that I prefer this versus the date filter in case of the machine wasn't active for long or in case of time sync issue which can sometimes mess up with the date based filters.
If you want to go for a date filtering, do it at the Get-WinEvent level, not in the Where-Object. If the query is local, it doesn't change much. But in remote system, it does the filter on the remote side therefore you're saving time and resources on your
side. So for example for the last 30 days, and if you want to use the XMLFilter parameter, you can use:

I want to set a recurring event for the last day of every month - regardless of the date/number of days in the month. I'd prefer not to have to use an app to do this.

You can do this using the custom repeat in iCal. You'll need two events to cover the second and fourth Mondays.
Create the event on the second Monday of the month. In Repeat select Custom... > Frequency: Monthly > On the: second Monday.
Do the same for the Fourth Monday.

I want to create a repeating event for the last day of each month. Is this possible?

Unfortunately Apple does not have an option available that allows you to add an event repeating on the last day of the month. An "OK" way around this would be to repeat on the 1st of every month and send a reminder a day earlier. I know this is less then perfect but the only option currently available. If you happen to find a 3rd party program that allows such integration please don't hesitate to mention it here as I have been looking for this sort of option for quite some time now!

I'm using two MacPros simultaniously, the old one for iTunes, and the new one for the other things. My new one has no problems, so am wondering if there is an easy way to correct the older MacPro's contrast problems. The computer is over three years old, and I'm wondering also if this failure is an aging sign. (I also have other problems, such as a noisy DVD drive, which is part of the reason I bought a new MacBook Pro.)

Is the older MBP a pre-Unibody model from early 2008? If so, it could be having this problem:

If so, you would be entitled to a free repair.
The lost contrast could be considered distorted video.
Do you have an external monitor? If the external shows the same lost contrast, the graphics chip is likely the culprit. If the external is OK, then you probably have an issue with the built in display or possibly with its connections.
You may also want to check in Universal Access to see if the contrast bar is set in its normal position (all the way to the left).
Apple has a special test they can run to diagnose the NVIDIA issue, so if you have access to an Apple Store, make an appointment at the genius bar to have it run.

Imovie source clips is missing, i had the videos on the last imported event and now they're gone? how do i recover this?

so i imported a few clips, i think i dragged them into imovie? i have forgotten by now because i did this a couple of weeks ago. these clips got into the "last import" in the event library. so without knowing that it would get lost somehow, i didn't put them anywhere else. i don't have a backup on another folder (because i thought it was save in the imovie folder) as it turned out, it is nowhere to be found now. there is no "last import" folder in the imovie events folder. and the yellow box that comes up when the cursor's on the warning sign says they're in the "new event" folder, but that's also nowhere to be found.
i am freaking out right now because it's a group project due this wednesday, i'm on the verge of crying.
is there anyway i can get these clips back?
i'm in the middle of scanning my trash with ulysoft data recovery. hopefully it's somewhere there.
i'm going crazy right now.

Up came adoberevel.com . It showed Tony's Albums, telling me I was logged
in as Tony. But still no albums listed.

HI Jason269. Thanks for your reply, however I wrote that I already have "All events" checked. If All Events is checked and it doesn't diaplay all events, how do I fix? It seems this is a common issue, as I have read many others on here state the same problem.
I believe my problem occurred when I synced my iMac calendar to my iPad calendar using yahoo. Yesterday, I unsynced them on my iMac controls. When I checked my iPad calendar, all of my old entries reappeared - but only for five seconds and disappeared again. So, the data is saved and still there but cannot be displayed, even when I have All events checked. In fact, it only shows my individual entries for the last two months, but does show all my recurring entries. If I switched to last six months, I will see everything for the last six months. If I switch back to all events, it is only for the last two months.
As I mentioned, others on here have expressed exactly the same issue, including the two month example and having used yahoo.
For legal purposes, I need to be able to use the information from my indidual calendar entries in an upcoming court case. So I really need to fix this ASAP!

Syncing photos from more than the last 20 iPhoto events?

How can I sync more than the last 20 iPhoto events with my iPhone?
When I select folders instead of events I can get more photos (ex: last 12 months) to my iPhone but at the same time I no longer have access to the "events" view which I use to organize my photos.
Is there a solution to sync/copy more than 20 events to my iPhone?

For whatever the reason, syncing iPhoto Events is limited.
I make use of iPhoto albums in addition to Events - primarily for transferring photos to my iPhone.
