EventProvider[2541] ... monitor: re-registration succeeded

Hi I have been noticing the following errors on our Sun Fire v890, running Solaris 9.
These errors have been continously logged. Any idea what could be the casue for this, or atleast some hints to dig into it more.

Hi Paul,
I read your upload log file and it show cannot find user error in setuperr.log like
Cannot find destination user for: DEV\kjens003admin
Cannot find destination user for: DEV\chall019admin
Cannot find destination user for: DEV\mbutc001admin
So the migration failed due to not find the these users. Check if DHCP Administrators group includes local users, remove them from DHCP Administrators group or not use -Users parameter in your command.

Another suggestion is to use netsh command to migration DHCP role. It's just migrate DHCP DB without migrating user/group.

Monitor displaying different colour then what is being printed

When I print my newly designed letterhead what I see on the screen is different from what is printed. I do not believe it is the printer as all other documents print the same colour as what's seen on the screen. Please help....

Remember, this is true simply because the Source Profile is independent of the Monitor Profile and the Print Profile.
Getting a known good file (like the Adobe RGB or preferably the Whacked RGB PDI Photodisc-GettyImages RGB reference image) into Photoshop allows me to evaluate the monitor alongside the print to help me see where the problem is occurring...

Start of SMD agent fails!

After the installation of SMD AGENT 7.00 SP09 we've got some problems starting the agent.

please try SMD Agent 7.00 SP10! We had no problems with this version!
Also make sure that the OSUser has enough privileges. We use the "sidadm" to start the agent.

Problem creating iCloud email address

I am attempting to create an iCloud email address. When I enter the address and click OK, I get the drop down window that asks me if I want to create the address and it warns me that I cannot change the address after creating it. I click create and it takes me back to the previous screen that asks me to create an address and the address I previously entered is still there. When I click OK, it repeats the whole process all over again.
Anyone else have this problem and know the solution?

El Morche, I think the problem is that Apple's suggestions are bad! They included: <firstinitial>.<commonlastname>@icloud.com.
As soon as I tried again using a very unusual username (that I was sure would be unique), the registration succeeded.

Problem with Excel file import

Hi,
I am trying the DIAdem 10 Eval and I want to import Excel files with huge amount of data. One file has text headers as
index    x         y
1          0.58    7.22
2          0.55    6.33
3          0.77    8.34
and another one doesn't have the text headers. Both have three columns and more than 100K rows of data. But I failed to load any of them. The error is "Cannot open Excel file". Any idea what's wrong?

Hi David,
I have a thought, but I don't know if it will work-- that is to read the Excel file out using the ADO data base connection that Microsoft provides for Excel files. There is, in fact, already a DataPlugin on www.ni.com/dataplugins which does this for both Excel and Access files. I'm attaching the DataPlugin below. You just need to detach the *.uri file to your hard drive, then double-click on it with Windows Explorer to register the DataPlugin (you'll get a short "registration succeeded" dialog).
Then in DIAdem-NAVIGATOR right-click on the bloated Excel file and select "Open with..." from the context menu. Then select the "ADO" DataPlugin to use in the loading process. The DataPlugin expects the first line of the Excel file to either contain the name of each column/channel or to contain the first value of each column/channel.
I'm cautiously optimistic that this will work,

Xcode updates not caching in Caching Server - non-whitelisted url denied.

I am running OS X Server 2.2.1 - Build 169. (Mountain Lion). I have the caching service enabled and it appears to have been working successfully - as I can see that updates from Apple are coming from my server when applied to multiple Macs.
There is a new update to XCode 4.6.3 that I have been applying to my Macs - and I am noticing that it is re-downloading from Apple each time - instead of using the cache.
If I look at the Caching Service log - I see an error for each time that I have applied the 4.6.3 update:
Request for non-whitelisted URL denied (http:10.0.x.x:50360) (10.0.x.x is my my server)
HTTP Server: Error 400 - Bad Requst (/)
Is this a problem with the caching server - or are Apple's developer tools intentionally not being cached? The log does not tell me what url is being requested.

I have this exact problem too. Interestingly, I have this on my Mini server, then I've setup a caching server on my MacBook Pro and its the same. This log is from my MacBook Pro, its called badgerbookpro.local but its the same on the Mini server. Both are runing 10.8.3

Connection & System Problems

I am operating on a Toshiba L655D-S5025 laptop. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with a 2.10GHZ AMD Athlon P-320 Processor. I am unable to connect via wi-fi. When I attempt to fix the problem, the statement "An error occured while

Running Audition 3.0 on Win7, alternating between BootCamp on Mac and Parallels cause re-activation

Can anyone or Adobe themselves give an explanation as to how Audition 3.0 (and perhaps Audition CS5.5) verifies the machine hardware that it is running on to ensure that the purchased software license is not being installed on multiple machines?
I ask because it would appear that Audition 3.0 (at least) views its installation on the same single Windows 7 image as being 2 separate PCs if the same Windows 7 is booted into parallels and then at others times into BootCamp.
Yes, yes I know I can get Audition CS5.5 natively for the Mac, but for now I wish to run Audition in Windows. So please avoid discussions on this and instead offer me some advice as to why/how Audition reads the hardware it is running on.
The problem:
- I boot into BootCamp Windows, Audition 3.0 runs OK.
- Boot into MacOS, run same BootCamp VM Windows from parallels, run Audition 3.0, it runs asking for registratation. Registration succeeds.
- Boot into BootCamp Windows, Audition 3.0 runs runs asking for registratation. Registration succeeds.
And so on...
If I stick with one mode of running Windows, i.e. BootCamp OR via Parallels, Audition doesn't ask again, however, switching between the two triggers the re-registration.
Using the same VM/Windows install image/drive.
But I guess what is happening here is that the (virtual) "hardware" profile/signature/id presented to Windows/and 3rd-party applications, is different in BootCamp and Parallels and that applications such as Audition use this for authentication/registration to prove that the license is only running on the same hardware.
An ideal solution is that Parallels complies with the same hardware profile that BootCamp presents to Windows and 3rd party applications so that both Parallels and BootCamp are wholly seen as the same machine.
I've raised a support ticket with Parallels themselves.

I think it's very, very unlikely that you'll get an answer to this. Simply because to answer it is an out-and-out invitation to hackers. All I can tell you is that each copy of Audition will allow two installations, but only on different hardware, and that you aren't strictly allowed to use them concurrently. The intention is that you can have one install on a desktop, and another on a laptop. Any conjecture that you might make about this may or may not be true - even if you guess correctly though, I doubt whether you could easily do anything about it. The only thing that Adobe are going to do is to offer to sell you another seat, I guess - that way you could have three installs. But requests for further information are almost certainly going to fall on deaf ears.

OSX Server 3.0 cache data flush

The cache server has been working great up to the point where registration failed which I accept, but upon the 3300 seconds re-register the log below shows it doesn't attempt the re-register. Fine these things happen but the biggest problem i have that it flushes all the cached data already downloaded.
How can this be prevented/edited etc so we don't have to re-download what was cached already.

Caching Server receives non-whitelisted requests

I run a OSX Caching Server on a 10.8.3 Mountain Lion System. While this update server solution works fine for most of the client computers, one client causes unusual requests:
2013/04/01 09:51:36:104 Request for non-whitelisted URL denied (http://192.168.42.3:53783/)
THis message is generated from each attempt to access a Mac Appstore Download (this one was for the Final Cut Pro X 10.0.8 update) and after using this URL, the client simply ignores the caching server and moves on downloading this assets from Apples source servers.
The client is a Protina MBP running the official 10.8.3 build.

I have this exact problem too. Interestingly, I have this on my Mini server, then I've setup a caching server on my MacBook Pro and its the same. This log is from my MacBook Pro, its called badgerbookpro.local but its the same on the Mini server. Both are runing 10.8.3

Simple struts example but it doesn't work

After start of NAME_APPLICATION it show register form (register.jsp) but when I fill out all information and submit those information it show empty window in internet browser and in url box is something like this:

Employing a descendent of the Action class that does not implement the perform() method while using the Struts 1.0 libraries. Struts 1.1 Action child classes started using execute() rather than perform(), but is backwards compatible and supports the perform() method. However, if you write an Action-descended class for Struts 1.1 with an execute() method and try to run it in Struts 1.0, you will get this "Document contained no data" error message in Netscape or a completely empty (no HTML whatsoever) page rendered in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Caching Server

I know there are a lot of discussions about Caching across subnets but none appear to have the same issue I'm having. I'm hoping that someone can help me out.
I have 1 public IP for my school. I'm running a a Juniper SRX220 with 2 /23 subnets. One is for the protected LAN and the other is for Guest WiFi. In the school all of the Teacher iPads and PCs are on the Protected LAN. I put all of the Student iPad Minis on the Guest. In my Juniper I have all access from Guest network blocked except to the internet and of course there is a rule to allow protected side devices to access the Guest if needed. So it is a one way block.
At first I put the server on the protected network and verified that all the Teachers devices would pull the cached data from it. I then opened up the firewall to allow only access tp the Caching server from the Guest network so the Minis could get their updates from there. This did not work. I then removed the "Deny All" statement at the end of my rule base and added an "Allow All", just for testing, and still nothing. I then moved the Caching server to the Guest network and the Minis now can pull there data from it but the Teachers cannot.
I know the obvious question is if the "Only cache content for local networks" is checked or not. It is not checked. Since my subnet is a /23 I have to have this unchecked or I would not be able to serve data to the second half of my block as by default (checked) it's looking for a /24 (class C). The next question is if it's routing. I can ping the Apple server from either subnet when it is on either side, so routing between the subnets is fine. Also when I disable the firewall between the subnets it is still broken.
I'm at a loss as to what it might be? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Multiple non-blocking selectors in threads

About networking in java and sockets i read alot. I know about the 2 implementations witk thread per client and non-blocking IO (usage of select()). I ran a few tests of my own and i could't decide. So I wrote a server that uses them both. The Ideea is to have no more than 100 clients per each selector and each selector runs in a thread. so when you have 4000 clients you actualy have 40 threads running each 100 clients:D
However I'm stuck. I wrote this piece of code that has 2 objects one work thread with his own selector and a main thread with an accepting selector. The problem is that when I connect to it via telnet it only works when there is an even number of clients:(( when client nr 1 connects it blocks on channel.register(workSelector,SelectionKey.OP_READ);when client 2 gets connected it works:((

I compiled and ran your code.
The call channel.register(...) should block while selector is blocked in workSelector.select(). The fact that the registration succeeds is that you registered the server channel with both the work selector and the acceptor selector. The work selector is returning from select() because of a new client connection is accepted and is a matter of thread scheduling that the client.register() succeeeds (but only sometimes).
Possible solution:
- don't register the server channel with the work selector;
- probably call workSelector.wakeup() to make the client channel registration possible.
