You can assign a particular user to any number of Roles as long as they are not conflicting.
But you can assign 150 Profiles to a Role.

If your are not sure about user name , use the wildcard pattern , but make sure you use only a single *
i.e
1)IF User = shilpa*
THEN Portal Desktop = dekstop path
2)IF User =* shilpa *
THEN Portal Desktop = dekstop path
Here 1st option will work , 2nd will not work. " use only a single * "

Correlating VPN assigned IP address with particular users - CSACS and ASA

We have an ASA running 7.0(6)8 and use CSACS v4.1
For remote access, we have VPN groups set-up on the ASA. Our remote users connect to our network, are authenticated via the CSACS server, then are assigned an IP address from the relevant address pool on the ASA.
At the moment, I can use "show uauth" on the ASA to determine which user has been assigned a particular IP address, as long as they are currently connected.
But, what I'd like to be able to do is determine which user had an IP address at a particular time in the past.
E.g. if our device logs show activity from a particular IP address, I'd like to be able to trace back to find out which user had been assigned that IP address at the time.
Can anyone suggest how I might achieve this? I'm guessing that I need to set-up some sort of accounting between the ASA and the CSACS server but I'm not really sure what exactly is required.

Do you know the exact commands required to achieve this on the ASA? It doesn't seem to have the same set of aaa commands as found on e.g. an IOS router so I'm not entirely sure what to configure.
E.g. on my ASA, the aaa accounting options are:

How to assign theme for a particular user

I am new to portal development. I have make one theme Kuldeep_theme. I have already assign the rules and pages. But still its not working for the user given.
Kindly give the instruction to apply the theme to a user.

If you want to assign a standard theme to user means
goto Personalize -> Portal Theme -> Select the theme
to get the personlize option in your portal page (Top right side) assign eu_role to the user.
If you want to modify the theme and assign theme to particular user.

How to assign the status profile to that particular user..?*

I have created a status profile for the particulat sales order type so that a particular user can confirm the sales order and the pass it,so that further changes can be avoided.The profile has been assigned to Item category also.
Now My problem is ,How to assign the status profile to that particular user..?
so that only the user is allowed to change the order.

Maintain authorization key (authorization code) in status profile.
We do not assign directly to user. We assign to role E.g sales manager / sales employee etc...
We assign T.codes to role and assign role to user.
Goto Role T.code PFCG. Enter role and click on change button.Goto Authorizations tab.
Click on authorization data .
Expand the Cross-application Authorization Objects tree. Expand Status Management: Set/Delete User Status using Transaction.
Click on Authorization key button, assign Authorization key.
Click on status profile. assign status profile.

APP-FND-01929: This responsibility has already been assigned to this user. Please eneter a different responsibility.
But in the list of responsibilities this particular responsibility is not added before..
What will be the cause of this problem..

As per your other thread, I believe you have restored couple of tables from your backup and this is not supported. In order to have everything running properly, then a full database restore should be done.

Workitem not going to a particular user id

Hi,
I am having a workflow container element APPROVERLIST which stores the ids of the users to whom a particular workitem should go. But for a particular user id , the workitem is not going to that person, rather it is going to some other user ids. I checked if that id has been substituted but that is not the case.
Are there some other areas where I can check exception?

I have checked all the above scenarios.
There is no excluded agent existing . The bindings are correct. Let me describe the scenario little bit more in detail.
APPROVERLIST is a workflow container element ( multiline ). This container element is populated in a particular task. This task fetches the user ids from a table and stores it here.
In the next task which is a foreground task, in the "agents" APPROVERLIST is mentioned against EXPRESSION , so this workitem will go to all the users who are in APPROVERLIST.
Agent assignment is maintained correctly. Its not working for one particular id. Is there any place to check this outside the workflow design?
Also I checked the user id, it is existing.

Problem in assigning roles to users

I created Role in EP, which i want to assign to the users. i assigned that role to user. the user i not able to access the particular iviews. i attached some R/3 transactions iviews to that role. it says unable to lookup the system or system alias. when i assign that role to me, i'm able to access that iviews(R/3).
i have superadmin role permissions.
what default roles and permissions need to assign for users.

Hi Pradeep,
In SP9 apart form creating a System, we need to assign permissions for users.
Follow this path:
System Administration -> Permissions -> <select your System in Portal Content> -> Open Permissions <on right click>. This would take you to the Permission Editor.
Here you need to add the user and assign permissions.
Please check this and let me know if its working.

Subscribing to new mail event of multiple impersonated user through one ExchangeService object

I am able to subscribe to push notifications by specifying impersonating users' credentials and then specifying impersonated user's email in ExchangeService' ImpersonatedUserId property.
However want to know how can I handle new email events on multiple email ids that are impersonated by one email id, since there is no collection as such on ExchangeService to specify multiple Impersonation Ids. In fact I think we can handle only one email
id by using single ExchangeService object. And to subscribe to multiple user mail events, even through impersonation, I have to create multiple instances of ExchangeService. And also multiple callback listeners too. This is what I want confirmation about:
Q. Do I need to create multiple instances of ExchangeService and callback listeners to handle new mail event on multiple user id with impersonation?

Q. Also want to know given credentials of impersonating user, can I retrieve list of all users impersonated by that user.

You don't need a separate instance in this case (you need separate subscriptions for each mailbox). However there are throttling limitations around the total number of subscriptions one particular user can make see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn458788(v=exchg.150).aspx

subscribing to mailbox of same user id, we can use same object of ExchangeService. However I did asked for subscribing to mailboxes of
different user ids (or simply multiple mailboxes) without impersonation.
I cannot find how can I specify credentials for multiple mailboxes on single instance of ExchangeServer. Just following:
service.Credentials = new WebCredentials(userid, password);
Is it really possible to use same instance ExchangeService to subscribe to multiple mailboxes?

How to send a E-mail Reminder to a particular user from a Tasks Calendar

I have created a calendar in my Sharepoint site and have added some Training sessions to that calendar. My Requirement is to send an E-mail to a Particular user before 3 days from the Training session date. I have created a workflow using Sharepoint Designer,
but it is not sending the e-mail before 3 days. Can you please tell me how to create a workflow for this scenario and if possible please give me the condition and Action needs to be provided for the workflow

I tried with the above SP Workflow and it doesn't work for me. I am not getting the mail. This what i did,
I have calendar for training in Sharepoint -> I added a training session to the Calendar on todays date and Start and End time is set as 1.05 pm- 2.05 pm -> I saved the event in my Calendar
Then i selected the Calendar in the "List Workflow" option in Sharepoint Designer and i created a Workflow in Sharepoint which i named it as "Sample Workflow". Here i created a Action as given below,
Inserted Do Action:
Calculate (Current Item:Start Time:Returned as Number of Seconds) (minus) (180) (Output to Variable:calc)
Inserted Pass until Date Action:
then Pause until Variable: calc
Inserted Send by E-mail Action
then E-mail (Specific user)
I saved and Published the above workflow. I waited for the mail 3 minutes before the Start time and i didn't receive any mail. I have also selected all the Start options in the Workflow
settings
I even tried another Action and that too doesn't work for me,
Inserted Add time to Date Action:
Add 1minute to
Current Item:Start time (Output to Variable: Created a new variable by giving some name)
Inserted Pass until Date Action:
then Pause until Variable: New Variable name selected
Inserted Send by E-mail Action
then E-mail (Specific user)
Please give me a solution to fix this issue and make this work

Document ype restriction in FBL5N for particular user

I have a requirement where in we have to restrict document.type in fbl5n....... clients wants to give authorization to particular user only .They don't want to go for screen variant option.... i have define authorization group in oba7 and in tbrg table i have given authorization object F_bkpf_bla also n basis guy have created rule for it then also we are able to see other document type like DR... we want restriction for DA,SA,DZ,AB.........Please help me if i am missing any thing..

Create a role, insert the transaction to be used, the user with this profile and assign the correct authorizations.
You have to use the authorization object F_BKPF_BLA that is the Authorization for Document Types.
View Report : Authorization for Viewing report
Activity All activities
Authorization Group XXXX
So the user with this Role and Profile can only view a document with a Document type with a specific Autorization Group XXXX(V_T003-BRGRU).

Saha way is actual way for authority tcode but user authority in TCODE:- SE38 he/she can run report(ZREPORT) wise program is run is no authority check.
Another way is you have also check authority in program level.

Lock a tcode for particular user

i need to lock few transaction for particular users only. we have n number of roles and the transactions have been assigned to some tcodes to be reasticted for a list of users. is there any method or program to built to restrict the users for few tcodes.is there any more query pl trigger me

as you said if i start creating roles to restrict some users then there atleast 25 tcodes are there to restrict and 120 roles are to be analyzed and the job becomes hefty by creating roles and there will too many number of roles and it becomes confusion in future forecast. there fore i nedd any suggestion like that the userscan be restricted when they are trying to access that particular code or lock the screen or inform them to not access these tcodes thro some message or writing a program to restrict the users while the user exits. i have an idea but i dont know how it will work - ( I am not a ABAPER) there should be tcode or program which should list tcodes authorized for particular users and where they can be locked like SM01 ( but it will lock for all) but locking for particular users
Am i more advanced??

Events assigned to a Perpetually Updated Distobution Group

We are trying to find a way to create an Outlook (2010, for what its worth; Exchange 2010) calendar event that will be directed to a constantly updated group...
To clarify:
1: We have an Active Directory Distribution Group, let's call it AGENTS.
2: We want to assign a repeating event for all users in the AGENTS group.
3: Users are rotated in and out of the AGENTS group constantly.
How can we set up the event so that as users are added or removed from this group we do not have to resend the event?
Presently, it appears the only way to get the event to a new member of the group is to send the event again. Is there anyway to keep this automatic?
I can understand if this is not clear; by all means ask any questions so I can try to do a better job of clarifying the position.

Currently there's no such method to make the event sent to new members automatically.
We need to send the event at regular intervals, choose Send updates only to added or deleted attendees when sending update.
