Events Disply In Folder Form
I deleted and recreated iPhoto library file. Now the events do not appear as folders in the sidebar. How do I get them to list again ?

Please help... it seems all is lost as all I kind find on this subject seem to lead to nowhere. My engagement was on imovie, a school project, several videos of our son. You will have to hold my hand through this process... as I am not very good at this type of thing. I believe I have deleted all the necessary plist files and moved my projects and events to a folder on my desktop. imovie has been upgraded to version 9.0.9... Whenever I open it I just get the beachball and then I have to force quit and I get the following report:

Yes this can be many things - and I can only guess/suggest.
A. a very common origin to make the Mac un-happy is to - PANIC-HALT - when the round multicolored thing appear.
So much can go wrong by doing this - and if done often problem builds up that can result in a real disaster.
B. NEVER - move or alter any folder named - iMovie Event's resp. iMovie Project's - as iMovie has no search function - moving them results in that iMovie get's 100% lost.
One can move them - but this HAS TO BE done within the iMovie application (as it is up and running)
C. preference files - there are TWO or more Libraries on Your Mac. First and easy to find is the one You see when opening Your Start-Up Hard Disk window = Root Library == the WRONG ONE
What we need to find is the one in Your User-Account folder (icon as a house) - and this is in Mac OS X.7, X.8 and X.9 HIDDEN. To see it do:
( It can be done like this: Open Terminal, then enter:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press return, then restart, and it will always be visible until the next major update, when you do the same thing again. )
or - do like this.
On the Finder window at the top left of the screen,
Hold down the Option key and clicked on Go.
This allowed You to see the Library folder and select it.
Then keep the Option button pressed down in order to see and select the Library folder.
Once found it, You are able to navigate to the iMovie preferences file and move it to the trash. iMovie then start’s up fine!
Now here in Your User Library - find Preferences and trash

com.apple.iMovie8.plist

and find

While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this/these file/s out on to desk-top.
Now restart iMovie.
I Prefere another way to find out if this is the problem.
(after all folders (iMovie Event/Projects are moved into original place)
• go up to Apple Menu
• Down to System Pref's
• Select Accounts - Create a new User
• Go down the Apple menu - Log OUT
• Log into as the new User
Now try iMovie
Does it work at all ? (Yes You don't see Events or Projects in Your original Account just now)
If so - Then we know that there is a corrupted pref file to be trashed.
Else - the problem are much more severe.
D. After Panic Halt / Forced Quit - I always do -. to keep disasters on arms length.
• Repair Permissions (Apple Disk Util tool)
• Start from other HD or DVD - then run Repair Hard Disk (Apple Disk Util tool)

No audio for some files in the Final Cut Event/Original Media folder
Hi, recently, I noticed that some of the video files stored into the Final Cut Event/"Event"/Original Media folder had no audio. They do have audio when I read them into FCP X but not when I open them as ordinary files in the Finder. It worries me as it makes these files unusable in any other application, unless I "share" them from FCP X. It's no big deal but it's more work and on the principle, it's criminal: why FCP X would strip the audio off an original? Video and photo applications now work on the non-destructive principle!
I usually shoot videos with a DSLR (Canon 550D/T2i) and a GoPro 3. It seems that the files impacted are the ones shot with the Canon and optimized for FCP X. The GoPro files are fine, optimized or not.
Is there any solution to this problem or will I have to export the files from FCP X?Thank you very much for the info.
I removed the Media Cache and Media Cache File folders. Didn't seem to make any difference. Also, there's no audio if I try to play it in Organizer.
I have a question regaring "import". What exactly does that mean?
Since all my MTS files are on hard drive already, what I did was:
1) Open a new project in PE9.
2) In the "Organize" tab, click "Get Media"
3) Choose "Get Videos/Photos/Audio from: Files and Folders".
4) In the pop-up window, navigate to my folder and choose the existing MTS file.
Was that called "import"?

I now i can get the elements in a var and loop through with a normal function but can this work for spry events listenersShort answer is yes. I moved my FCP events and projects folder onto my external hard drive and now everything is gone on FCP. When I tried to reload those folders onto FCP nothing happened. I still get the missing files image. When I try to import the folders manually something pops up that says it is incompatable. It is possible to retrieve everything that was lost?

As you said folders are moved to external disk but have you checked it should be like this

Thanks for your reply. I take what you write to mean that I can add a document-level javascript manually once the PDF is exported. But this is what I'm trying to avoid.
Ideally, I want to respond to Doc/Open events from a folder level javascript, but I'm not sure if/how I can make an event listener with Acrobat JS. If I can't do that, then I'm looking for a way to programatically add a Document level javascript upon export from InDesign - not manually within Acrobat, once the PDF is created.
Any thoughts? -

I developed Folder Form which displays emp details in the tabular form.
I placed Scrollbar on the Content Canvas and Fileds on the stacked canvas.
But in the output it's showing gap between last field and the scrollbar.I have decreased the width of the viewport width also.How can i remove the gap?

If the form is in OK Mode and if the user edits any field(Including UDF Window Fields). form mode changes to Update...So at that time, how can we track the entire event in which the form mode gets changed?

Subscribe to more than one event using one booking form

I am wondering whether it would be possible to subscribe someone to multiple events at once. Bacially I have a course that is split over 2 days, some people will only want to go to one of the days and some will want to attend both.
Say I set up 3 events:
Course X - Day 1
Course Y - Day 2
Course Z - Day 1 & 2
Is it possible to have a seperate booking form for Course Z - Day 1 & 2 that would subscribe them too both Course X - Day 1 and Course Y - Day 2 rather than to Course Z - Day 1 & 2. Can I amend the form action to do this?

Devil is the detail, but this is possible. BUT NOT SIMPLE!
Id only ever quote and charge a client to do this, to implement it.
So id say you could email [email protected] if you wanted and Brett/I can quote you up and do it. You can find someone to help on this as well of course if you want.
Its complicated because you will be doing javascript, ajax and some tricks with BC, As you can see, BC staff memeber not even sure how you would do it.
You need to access different bookings and data, create forms of relationships etc.
But, would need the full run down of the task at hand to properly know if its 100% but you can do this. -
Problem catching events after opening system form

In my addon i open a system form from a user form. after closing the system form , my user form does not cause any event to be handled by my addon. in other words pressing on the forms button items does not cause any event to accure. in order for the form to work i need to close the form and reopen it from the menu. question is how can i know what is causing the form to stop responding and how can i fix it?

It looks like when the system, form closes you remove a filter for your user form or your remove the listener for your user form.

The UDT form should have a form type in the format:
110xxx
where xxx is the value in the TblNum field in the OUTB table (eg 110015 if the TblNum field is 15).
Therefore, you can query the OUTB table for your UDT name and get the correct TblNum value and then calculate the correct form type for your table. If you want to filter events then you'll need to run this query as your addon starts and dynamically add the correct event types and filters to your addon.

Event loop hang, Windows Forms
My C# console application acquires video frames from a camera and uses OpenCV for per-frame processing. The program is mostly an infinite loop with busy-wait on frame acquisition at the start of the loop and a sleep at the end of the loop
as recommended by OpenCV. Typically CPU utilization is < 15%. I wanted to display 5 video frames in a Form showing different stages of processing so I used the visual designer to subclass Form to my MapDisplay class that has 5 PictureBoxes.
I instantiate MapDisplay with new and use Show() to display it as non-modal. I over-rode Paint() for each PictureBox and in each iteration of my loop I call an overloaded version of Refresh() that has an array of 5 Bitmaps as its argument.
The Bitmaps are made available to the Paint() overloads.
This all works but with very strange mouse behavior. When running from VS there is always a busy cursor when I float over the Form so it can't be selected for movement or resizing. When running outside VS the Form starts with focus but a
mouse click anywhere, even away from the Form, e.g. click Windows Start, causes Form updating to stop. In all cases my main loop remains active and continues to call my Refresh() overload on each iteration.
I think my program structure is atypical but I can see no reason why it's affected by unrelated mouse clicks. I have read solutions to hang problems recommending threading but I don't think I have anything that should be in a separate thread.
