Events in Alphabetical Order

Is there a way to order the Events while in Photos so that they show up in alphabetical order?

Syncing events in alphabetic order on my I pad as I have on my Mac

I have organized my events in I photo in alphabetic order and have synced several times to my I pad but yet the event order on my I pad still does not match that of my Mac... (Is there a way to organize the events in alphabetic order on my I pad??)

I don't have iPhoto on my iPad, so I can't help with that, but you must have looked at advice for a Mac computer? Maybe browse the iPhoto for iOS forum?

Photos. They are on my macBook, backed up on time machine. Copied them (hours and hours) to external hard drive. They are now in alphabetical order (19,000 of them) NOT IN THEIR EVENTS or date order-and have been taken with different cameras- help!!!!!!

They are on my macBook, backed up on time machine. There are 19,000+ of them, some rescued from a pc crash- which I used the nifty iPhoto to put back into date order.
I want to take them all off my laptop, now............as I need to use it for WORK!!
Copied them (hours and hours) to another external hard drive.
They are now in alphabetical order (all 19,000+ of them) NOT IN THEIR EVENTS or date order. (-They have also been taken with different cameras over the years and some of the generic camera numbering remains.)
I have tried to copy them (only a few as an experiment) one event at a time, but that again "opens up" the Event "folder" and tips them out as individuals and therefore just lists image letters and numbers alphabetically.
How can I copy
the whole library still in "Events" to an external hard drive?
the folders/albums I have already made on to this hard drive?
and how can I add to this back up monthly, again keeping events and folders separate and updated?
Mac is so user friendly - there must be a way.........

UPDATE : I have re-installed from disk, various apps that were no longer functioning such as iLife, iWork etc. So, I now can access my photos again.
Also, I had to re-install all the software for my printer ( Stylus Pro 4880 ) and reset it so the printer is working again.
Photoshop CS4 won't open. I think I will have to get in touch with Adobe as basically, I guess they have a built-in "blocker" which prevents me from opening the app as the license is for only 1 user and having re-installed the OS, there are now, in effect, 2 users ( Me and Me 1, I think ).
So, having added on a new external HD, Time Machine has made a copy of most of the files, folders, apps etc onto the external HD. The internal HD is still nearly full ( 220 GBs out of 232 GBs ).
I am guessing the way to go now in order to free up space on the internal HD is to delete/trash older photos from my iPhoto library and hope that if needed, I will be able to access them on the external HD.
Am I correct ? Please advise before I do something I will regret.

I transferred my iPhoto FACES to my mini iPad and: (a) they are not in the alphabetical order I had them in, (b) some of the FACES have been deleted, (c) the EVENTS I checked off in iTunes do not all appear in the iPad?

Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there.
Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A Finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache. Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.

Photos for iOS: How can i sort all of my albums automatically in alphabetical order

Hey there,
first off, why isn't there a a community for the new Photos app?
Anyway, here is my problem:
How can i sort my albums on the new Photos app on iOS?
I think it's not possible at the moment.
I am using the iCloud Photo library and uploadet all of my 15.000 photos from the last 15 years.
And because of that, i now have many many albums on Photos now.
Overall i love the new app and i love the iCloud Photo library, but i cannot sort my albums on the iOS app automatically in alphabetical order.
I can sort albums manual, but who wants that, when you have so many of them???
I have Photos on my Mac too and there i am able to do sort them in alphabetical order. But it is not adopted to iOS or the iCloud Web-App.
Because of that, i have a complete picture chaos on my iPhone and when i am looking for this one pic in that one album it takes me forever to find it.
So please Apple, fix this and we all can live happily ever after!

Moments in Photo are the new Events. T
here's a way to simulate events in Photos.
When the library was first migrated there was a folder created titled iPhoto Events and all migrated iPhoto Events are represented by an album in the folder. To open the sidebar if it's not open use the Option+Command+S key combination.
When new photos are imported into the Photos library go to the Last Import smart album, select all the photos and use the File ➙ New Album menu option or use the key combination Command+N. Name it as desired. It will appear just above the iPhoto Events folder where you can drag it into the iPhoto Events folder
When you click on the iPhoto Events folder you'll get a simulated iPhoto Events window showing all of the albums.
The downside to this simulation is that the Album/Events can only be sorted automatically by Title while viewed in the Folder in the main window or in the sidebar. But they can be sorted manually.

Display customer details one by one in alphabetical order in alv report?

Hi experts,
my requirement is ,
I want to display customer name and city as top and then for particular customer's details (like invoice no's,due date, vat.cst etc)
display in alv grid format,and then next customer name and detals .....etc.(customer name alphabetical order) in single page one by one. Using ALV reports is possible ? pls give me the brief code (or idea).pls give me solution.
My input is to enter customer numbers so that output(customer details ) is displayed one by one in order.
I tried but i didn't get if possible pls give me SDN link.

I guess you can use AT NEW fieldname event to display the customer name and then call REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY for every customer to display the corresponding details

i've just get the new photo for mac book air and i transfert my iphoto evenements on album but it's not by alphabetic order...

List Videos in Alphabetical Order on iPhone 3GS?

I am having trouble with my recently synced videos to my iPhone 3GS - I have synced across a bunch of audio and video files and when I browse the songs they are all listed in alphabetical order yet the videos appear to be in a random order. I have copied across 5 seasons of a show and the seasons aren't grouped together nor in alphabetical order. Is there anyway to group the seasons together or list them in alphabetical order?

There is nothing that can be done about it. Sorting of synced events is not supported in the Photos.app.
To speed up a bug fix send feedback to the Developers using this form: Apple - iPhoto - Feedback
iTunes Photo sync will be discontinued soon. The iCloud Photo Library will replace it early next year in Photos for MacOS X. Already, with iCloud Photo Library Beta enabled, you can no longer sync your iPhoto library to your iOS devices using iTunes at all.

Grid populating columns in alphabetical order (which I don't want)

Am populating a grid from an array defined in my CFC function
in coldfusion.
My flex function is as follows:
public function getOrders(event:ResultEvent):void{
ords = event.result as ArrayCollection;
grd.dataProvider = ords;
The grid is populating nicely without any error. BUT it is
populating in alphabetical order.
That is, if in my query I do:
"select B,D,C,A from tbltest..."
It is populating the grid columns as "A", "B", "C" and "D"
(in alphabetical order).
Any idea, how do I do it to obtain in the order i want , as
"B","D", "C" and "A".

You will need to specify DataGridColumn tags to define the3
column order.
I might be wrong, but I do not think the default order of the
columns is alphabetical. Rather, it is the reverse of the order
which the columns are added to the columns array.
At any rate, the only ways to create reliable column order is
to use DataGridColumns or to build the columns programmatically.

non-binary index (those are my particular preference) you may
right-click the index and sort the terms. (Inside RoboHelp, not in
the compiled output)

When I import an album into ITunes...it puts the song list in alphabetical order. How do I get it to import the album order?

Having downloaded and installed the latest Maverick Ios I now have a problem with mail.All my mailboxes were in alphabetical order now they are arrange randomly under my mail account, sync does not rearrange them whilst the order in the ISP account is in

I have downloaded Maverick 10.9 and installed , now my mailboxes in mail are randomly arranged as opossed to being in alphebetical order from A at the top to Z at the bottom how do you rearrenge the mailboxes in an alphbetical order.
Sync with my provider Gmail does not rearrange them on my Imac

Shows the way the mailboxes are listed in the mail program under any particular provider, in my case I have three mail provider accounts with mail moved from the inbox to the appropraite mailbox eg [email protected] , Xero - where the incomeing mail is filed.
My problem is to arrange these mailboxes/folders in an alphabetical order under the [email protected] account

All my folders display in finder in alphabetical order a to z. However when I add a file as an attachment to an email the window that opens for me to select the folder from now displays them in alphabetical order from z to a. How can I alter it? Thank you

When you add an attachment and you open a window to locate it, click on the little arrow I've indicated on the image and it should re-organise them as you want:
