Events in Calendar not scheduled to repeat are gone!

Hi,
Today I opened up my Palm Desktop calendar on my PC and recent events that I scheduled but were not scheduled to repeat are gone! I made sure that “category” was set to “All” and it was. I did find that events about 2 months ago that were not scheduled to repeat are there but nothing after then up until now or one time events in the future. I installed the Palm desktop 4.1.4 software on my computer when I started using my Lifedrive a few years ago. However, my Lifedrive broke a year ago but I still use the Palm Calendar on my PC to set my schedule. In other words I do not synch anything with the Palm software. I always “save all” before closing out of the Palm software. I have read very similar problems online by others in similar posts but every suggested remedy advises to try something involving synching to the device the Palm software is used with. I know that there should be archived data on my PC that may still contain the data that somehow disappeared. I am not sure though exactly what file/files to open or look at.
Did the recent date change to Feb 1, 2009 mess something up? Like I said, from the online searches I have done I have seen several posts stating things similar to “My present/future one-time events are gone but ones from months ago are still there”. This leads me to believe it is nothing I did because I honestly can’t think of anything that caused this.

If the Data is intact on the device then change the Hotsync conduit to Handheld overwrites desktop then sync. Otherwise you will need to bowse to the file location on the PC. C:/Program Files/Palm or Palmone. Make sure the Palm Desktop is closed. There you should see a Folder with a name based on your hotsync username. Inside that folder you should see a Datebook folder. In side the Datebook folder you should see a Datebook.dat file (DAT file) and a Datebook.bak file. Right click and rename the DAT file to Datebook.old and the .bak file to Datebook.dat. Then open the Palm Desktop and see if the data has been restored. If it has then change the Hotsync conduits to desktop overwrites handheld and sync.

After you restore from backup, you MUST sync to restore your iTunes content. No iTunes content is included in the iPhone backup. Your apps should be in your iTunes library, just sync them back to your phone. If for some reason your apps are not in your library, you can re-download them for free:

If you have a recent backup available (even pre-iOS7), you may want to try restoring your data from there. You may find the following article helpful:

Tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Notes off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the data.

My patterns in Pattern Fill just disappeared. Not all, but alot are gone. Is there a limit? Can I get them back?

I have no idea why they disappeared. I didn't have a crash. The latest patterns from the last 2-3 months are gone now. I use this alot. How can I prevent? Might they be on my backup time machine?

Repeat events on calendar not syncing properly

I am trying to sync my calendar on mobileme with my iphone, I need to create individual events which repeat every 70 days, I can sucessfully do this on mobileme, however when syncing with the iphone it changes all events to repeat every 24 days ??
Any help would be good

Items that I enter on my iphone also get added to a calendar that I subscribe to, which is supposed to be read only, even though I have chosen another calendar to add new items too. My read-only calendar does not appear in the select box in the itunes info sync page, but it is getting the events, no matter what calendar I do choose. Then when the calendar gets auto refreshed from its source, the events disappear. I cannot change the events to place them on a different calendar, once they are in iCal my, because the calendar is read-only -- to everything but iphone.

Events on Calendar not behaving properly.

I just bought my iPod touch 5th gen. and this is its first week of use. I am having issues with the calendar application. On the date of my birthday, an uncountable amount of events named "Happy Birthday!" was created automatically. I originally ignored the problem a few days ago, but when I checked it today the number of the event had multiplied. I am unable to delete any of the events, and the events' details are strange. Make sure you are added the events on your Mac to a calendar listed under the iCloud heading, and not a non-iCloud calendar such as On My Mac.

If you have deleted notes from the iCloud account, you can't recover them, unless you also had them on your computer and maintained a back up.

TS3999 how to see list of all scheduled events in calendar

Every now and then I can't seem to find the list of all events scheduled on calendar. Only those for a particular day. How see all events?

I understand exactly what edwardfromma is talking about. He wants a simple chronological list of ALL events in calendar NOT in the context of the calendar view. This is a very useful feature that almost every other calendar app has. Usability of Apple IOS seems to be degrading.

Mail, Calendar, Notes, Reminders missing from cmd-Tab

To switch between applications quickly, I like to use the cmd-tab method.
Occaisionally, since upgrading to Mountain Lion, I've noticed that even though any of the Mail, Calendar, Notes, or Reminders programs are running, they are not shown in the cmd-tab list, nor do they have a little 'dot' next to the respective icon in the doc. When this happens, the apps are running, since I can either click on a part of the window for the app, or click on the icon in the dock, and that application will come to the front. All the other running applications show up as expected in the cmd-tab list.
So far, I've found that if I logout, and then log back in, the problem will clear up.
I have not yet figured out what triggers this, since it's only happened about 5 times in the past couple of weeks since upgrading to Mountain Lion.
Have others seen this same problem? Is there something I can do to prevent it from occuring?

IN my case I would have to select a Category (Similar to Selecting an Existing Tag name) to get it added to the bottom of a Post (first one in a thread/Question Post)
I have a vague feeing that like certain tabs you can get certain Categories to be added "Automatically" to your Question Posts (Set in the Personalisation part of the Front page when logged in)
I must admit to giving up some time ago in trying to get the system to display what I wanted in a manner that i was comfortable with when the change happened and have learned "new" ways to post since.

There is lots to Mountain Lion I have not caught up with yet.
My iMac is from mid 2011 (i5 Core)
I am running Firefox, Mail, Messages and sometime iTunes and Skitch
However I can always access them by CMD + Tab if I try.
I mostly post about iChat and now specifically use the Messages filter to answer questions on that app alone from Mountain Lion.
That was how I came across your post.
I was wondering if some Keyboard shortcuts had been created that disabled the CMD + tab in some Apps ?
I could see nothing in the Help.
There were 53 responses for CMD + tab and 51 for Changing App (which might suggest some overlap but I did not see one)

IPhone calendar appointments are gone

I just went to check my iPhone calendar and all my appointments are gone. I shut the iPhone down and restarted it. My phone is a 3G, OS 4.2.1 (8C148). How do I get the appointments back?

Forget it. Somehow (probably I did it), all three options on the 'Hide All Calendars' page got unchecked. My heart rate is back to normal.

Check the iPhoto trash - if they are there select them and right click and restore to library
If they are not there then they are gone
You really should take the time to learn how to use iPhoto - photos exist only in one place - in your events - albums, keepsakes, etc are just pointers to the actual photos in the event - deleting from an album does just that - deletes from the album - deleting from an event removes the photo and therefore all albums, keepsakes, etc
watch the videos as a starter - iPhoto help menu ==> iPhoto help and watch the video
also more details (for a previous version so some menu items are in different places but the concept is the same) - and it would be a worthwhile investment of time to take the iphoto tutorials - http://www.apple.com/findouthow/photos/ - they are very helpful and will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Have you failed to use the device as designed?
If using the iPhone as designed, contacts are synced with a supported application on the computer or a cloud service. Pictures taken with the device would be copied off to the computer on a regular basis.
If you have been using the device as designed, simply sync the content back.
If you have not been using the device as designed, you can try restoring from the most recent backup. However, if that does not restore them, they are gone.

What cloud service or contact manager was she syncing them to? They should still be there and she should be able to sync them back. If she was not doing so, they are gone.
