Events in iCalendar & Outlook are duplicated; sometimes 10+ times!

Why are events in my iCalendar, and Outlook for Mac, being duplicated, sometimes 10 times; even after I delete the duplicated event? When I synch my iPhone and iPad with the Mac, the events are duplicated in those devices as well.

OK, I've found the answer. I've used the plugin found here (in my case the one for iSync 2.4) instead of the one mention in the post above:

This sounds like an error in Time Zone support. The time zone needs to be the same in Outlook as well as the phone.

Events are duplicating in ical

when my ical opens on imac, all events entered from my iphone or ipad are duplicated. This has only started since updateing to Lion. Nothing is duplicated on my iphone

Photos - my photos are duplicated in Albums, Photo Stream and Events. Does this take additional memory?

I need instruction and not understanding Photos. When I put photos from my Canon Camera through the Apple Connector - SD Card Reader, the photos are displayed in the Photo App. They are duplicated in many areas: Photos, PhotoStream, Albums, and Events. Is this the way Apple does this? Can I just have photos in one place in the app? BTW: my PhotoStream setting is on on the iPAD4 and on my iPHONE 5. Should I turn off? If they are duplicated in all areas, are they taken up space on my iPAD?Please advise.
Also, can I delete multiple photos on my iPAD4 without selecting each one? I don't seem to see a Select All option. Also, I am not sure when I see this dialogue box on the iPAD4, but it seems I only get Delete Everywhere instead of just Delete. Why? Is there a setting I need to know about.
When I connect my iPAD4 through the hardwire to my PC, can I just create a folder and copy my photos on my iPAD4 to my PC. They will not remove them from the iPAD4, correct?

Basically within the photo app, there are sever views available, each having a different purpose, but only one file per image (at least I'm fairly certain that's how it works). Start off with the Photos section of the user guide (link below). It may not answer all of your questions, but will give you a good starting place.

I'd keep them in folders - in your user account section, then just link to the folder with an alias and not keep the actual files and folders out on or in Desktop Finder area.

If you are having issues with your iPad's Calendar event times not staying set, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPad -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPad as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

All my iCal events are duplicated after migrating to iCloud

I upgraded my Mac to 10.7.2 at first and migrate my iCal to iCloud.
And then I upgraded my iPhone to iOS 5.
After that I found all my iCal events are duplicated.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks~~

When you sign back in to iCloud on the Mac the iCloud calendars should be there if they are also on the web-page iCloud calendar. Did you
Restarting the iCloud merges On My Mac with iCloud calendars (deleting On My Mac calendars in the process). This is why it is so vital to have .ics backups.
I think you must be missing a step somewhere. Here's what to do:
- Create .ics backups on iCal using Export
- Open iCal>Preferences>Accounts>iCloud and delete the iCloud account
- Open System Preferences>iCloud uncheck Calendars and Sign Out
- Import into iCal your .ics calendars, they will be listed as On My Mac on the iCal Calendars list
- Sign back into iCloud, check Calendars, Agree to Merge despite the warning that calendars will be removed from the Mac
- Check the web based iCloud calendar and see if the calendars are there.
- Check iCal under Calendars and be sure that the iCloud calendars are checked in the list (or they will not display).
If this doesn't work you should make an appointment with an Apple Genius.

This must mean the answer to my question is yes.
Turn off automatic syncing - iTunes preferences under the Devices tab - select prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically.
Under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, deselect Sync Calendars followed by selecting Apply.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select your Exchange account.
Turn Calendars off for over the air syncing.
A warning message will be provided indicating this will erase all calendars/calendar events downloaded from and being kept synchronized with the Exchange Server. If you are also provided a prompt to save the calendar events locally on your iPhone, decline this prompt.
This will not erase the calendar events synced direct with Outlook on your PC via the iTunes sync process.
Follow this by turning Calendars back on for over the air syncing with your Exchange account on your iPhone. You should be provided a merge prompt and if so, accept the merge prompt.
This will get rid of the duplicates.

Calendar times from Outlook are all wrong on my Iphone

I am using MobileMe to sync an Outlook 2003 calendar to an Iphone. I have timezone support enabled on MobileMe and the Iphone. The event times are all correct in Outlook and MobileMe, but all seem to be shifted 8 hours forward on the Iphone. We are in Pacific Time Zone (GMT-8), so the 8-hour shift is either a coincidence or somehow the source of the problem. Seems like the calendar events are displaying in GMT time on the Iphone, even though the Iphone TZ is set to PST (San Francisco).
For kicks, I synced another IPhone to the MobileMe account and the calendar events were shifted 8 hours on the second Iphone as well. So it seems to be something to do with MobileMe-Iphone connection. If thats the case, shouldn't these two products "just work" since they are both Apple products?
This is extremely frustrating since we have come to rely on our Iphone calendars, so any help much appreciated.

P.S. Include music videos IS checked within the iTunes music synch tab.

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

You will need to use OLE on the client, which would further require the use of WebUtil. Here (below) are a couple of MS examples that you would need to convert to pl/sql. There are a variety of Oracle notes which discuss reading and writing to MS Word and Excel. These can likely be used as a starting place to talk to Outlook. There is a WebUtil demo which includes an example of how to write to MS Word. It can be found on the WebUtil home page:

ITunes university subscriptions are duplicating

I noticed odd behavior yesterday. iTunes courses to which I've subscribed and fully downloaded are starting to replicate.   The course will be listed twice in the left nav bar, and duplicate classes/documents will download. This behavior is not consistent, with only a third of the 40 or so courses I have duplicating thus far. The duplication isn't just one university. I've seen it with MIT, Library of Congress, Yale. Sometimes the course has the exact same name and artwork, othertimes the duplicated course source is given as 'unknown artist'.
If I look in the iTunes library (under iTunes Media/iTunes U), only one folder for the course is given, but there are duplicated file names. E.g.,
01 Course Introduction.mp4
1-01 Course Introduction.mp4
with the same file size, but one will have a creation date of yesterday, and the other has one when I originally downloaded it.
How do I get these courses (in case that is relevant):
I find something interesting in iTunes U and subscribe to it.   Normally, only one class will download into iTunes. I often have to then select the 'old materials' button to list other classes in the course, even though I have both download and keep as settings preferences for all episodes. And normally I then select to download manually all of the older episodes from the little cloud download icon next to each one.
If I delete one of the two courses listed, both courses disappear and are moved to the trash. This is confirmed by looking in the trash at the episode names, and is consistent with iTunes removing the whole course folder from its library. It appears that the duplicates happen when one file is added to the collection, or the modification date is changed on their server -- then the whole subscription duplicates.
Puzzling that this didn't happen to ALL courses, but was pretty consistant by school.
Is this because I am manually asking iTunes to download old materials?   Has anyone else seen this behavior?
