Events mistakenly updated

Hi community.
I have FCP version 10.0.6 on my MB Pro, and I edit off an external drive. I took the drive to school to edit a project on one of their workstations, which newly had been updated to version 10.0.8. With the external drive still unconnected, I opened FCP X on the workstation. FPC asks me if I want to update events. Aware of the recent update, I clicked "yes"/"ok", since I assumed the computer itself had some events/projects that needed to be updated to work with the later version. NOTE: My own disc is still unconnected at this point.
I minimized FCP and connected my drive. My initial plan was to copy the event/project from my drive over to the workstation, so that I could still edit all my other projects on my personal MB Pro (version 10.0.6). WIthout warning, the second I plugged in my disc, FCP begun to update ALL events/projects on my external drive, which basically means my current 10.0.6 version is useless. I'm mildly annoyed to say it - mildly...
Without updating to version 10.0.8, is there a way to "roll back" the events/projects on my external drive so that I can continnue using version 10.0.6 on my private MB Pro?

Do you have them backed up onTime Machine (or other BU program)?
If not, I'm afraid the answer is no.
Update to 10.0.8 if you want to edit the projects at home. (You can always archive 10.0.6)

I'm dealing with this same issue. At one point, it did recognize the Update function but then said it could not import the cache.mov and plist files which apparently means that imovie 10 can't see any of these past events. I can't figure it out.

What do you mean by "events to update"? Do you mean invites to new events or changes to existing invites?
Troubleshooting:
1. Your profile indicates you are running 10.6.7, 10.6.8 is the current version Apple > Software update.
2. First make an iCal backup: Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal 1 at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
3. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: Removing these files may remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
3. Launch iCal and test.

Event message updates wrong event handler

EM Gurus.
I have a Strange problem that I'm trying to debug right now.
I'm sending an event message to inactivate an event handler. The event handler is not updated.
When I look in log SLG1 I see that a different event handler with a different event was updated!!
I repeat the same process 4 times and each time I look in SLG1 a different Event Handler and Event Message
can be seen.
On my 5th attempt my message posts correctly.
I'm guessing there must be some bad or old data that has the same guid and each time I send a message it clears
the bad/old data.
This probably helps explain a similar problem I have seen where the Expected Event Monitor did not update as expected.
Has anybody else seen this behaviour?

Read the support articles for your router. Look for the article regarding a "blinking power light". It describes how to flash your router through tftp instead of the web interface. Follow the instructions and load the correct firmware with tftp to the router.

Unable to capture Action_Success event during update

Hi I am using SAP-B1 2004. Using UIAPI, i am trying to do something when an item information in item master is updated.
On update button click i am capturing the Before_Action =True event to do something. If the Item information is successfully updated, i am trying to capture Action_Success = True event to do something.
The problem i am encountering is that, the Action_Success event is not getting fired.
After Before_Action =True , Before_Action =false event is getting fired and after that the item uid value changes from 1 (for update button) to some other value.
Any idea why this is happening? My code is as follows:

Just change the second condition from

If there is an error in between, the "et_ITEM_PRESSED pVal.BeforeAction = false" is not sent. This means, whenever you get the event "et_ITEM_PRESSED pVal.BeforeAction = false", the action actually was successful.

Means: forget ActionSuccess, use BeforeAction true/false.
(That's how solved the problem did it when I encountered the same problem.)
Problem is, you're not able to to something if there was an error. But why would you want to? User sees a red error message and tryes again...

Have AppleScript that runs without error on Mountain Lion 10.8.5, but errors out on Mavericks 10.9.0.
At end of script, property list items need to be updated and this is when error occurs.

BADI/BDT Event to Update Zfields into BUT000

Hi
I am looking for updating newly added Z fields of BUT000 table to databse.
I got confused to two different solutions, as BADI and BUPT Events. Anyone suggest which is the right one. I have used BUPT Control- Screens to enable the Z fields under business partner BP. But got stuck in the next step which we need to update the values from screen to database.
Can anyone throw some inputs on how to use BADI BUPA_GENERAL_UPDATE or BUPA_GENERAL_EXPORT?? or the SAVE Event. Need your valuable inputs.
Its a bit urgent to me..pls.

HT5958 The latest update has already caused problems, Final Cut can't find my old projects and events to update. Can anyone offer any advise?

On update Final cut updated some of my projects and events bringing them into the new interface. I had older projects that I didn't want visible before the update in folders labled 'Final Cut Events (Hidden)'. The update couldn't see these and since I can't find a way of bringing them into Final cut 10.1.
Every attempt ends with a message indicating that no projects can be found.
Any advise welcome.

Move them out of there and put them in the correct FCP project folder structure.

Should I be concerned with losing existing data (projects or events) when updating from FCPX to FCPX 10.1?)

I purchased a Macbook Pro loaded with FCPX from a private party. I now want to update from FCPX to FCPX 10.1 should I be concered about losing my exhisting projects and events? The previous version of FCPX is registered to another person and wondered if this could potentially overwrite anything. I backed everything up to another drive but, just wondered if anyone has done this sucessfully?

The project files are put where FCP X wants to put them. If you render anything, it puts the rendering where it wants to put it.
FCP X has three opportunities to lose something - it can't find your project, it can't find the event, the event can't find the media. We see it on this forum all the time and right now 10.1 is managing all that and screwing it up for some people. We see FCP X updating events and projects...
With Motion 5, I put my project file where I want - in a folder for that project. In that same folder, I have all my media. It's not necessary to have a feature where it moves my files for me to another drive, etc. I simply drag that folder anywhere I want and all the links are in tact because the links are relative.
With FCP X, even if I don't copy the media to the events folder and leave it where I want, it still creates a folder with its own hierarchy - Backups, Old Versions, Original Media, Render Files, Transcoded Media...
FCP X's method opens people up to more problems, obviously. You don't see people on the Motion forum talking about how Motion moved media or put it in the trash etc. The only thing that can happen is the small XML project file can't find the media and so you simply relink and you can use Spotlight for that.
Seems like there are more headaches with FCP X's method.

Event Structure: update the structure with a tab control

Hi!
I want to be able to update the code contained within an event structure by a tab control value change, in addition to the usual bool controller in the UI.
The problem is that the event structure don't seem to run when the bool has a value change for the tab control. I have made a short .vi to demonstrate. A counter is placed in the Event structure so it is possible to see if it is running or not.
Any ideas?

Outlook events not updating on iPhone 5 since installing iOS7

I purchased the iPhone 5 about 2 weeks ago. I immediately installed iCloud on my work PC and synced my phone with Outlook 2010 and all of my calendar events were populated into the iPhone calendar. However since installing iOS7 any new events entered into Outlook 2010 don't appear on my iPhone calendar event though all the events that were in there prior to the upgrade still show. Similarly, when I update or delete any of the old events that appear in both Outlook 2010 and my iPhone 5 in Outlook, they don't change on my iPhone.
I have signed out and back into iCloud to see if this resolves it to no avail. Frustratingly, all was working perfectly before updating to iOS7.Is anyone else having this issue? I have searched through the help pages to see if anyone else is but I am unable to find anything.

I discovered the same specific problem of a sync failure of Calendar events from Outlook 2011 (Mac OS) to my iPhone and iPad Calendar app. After nearly two hours of troubleshooting the problem, this is what I discovered:
the problem existed for me in only one direction, Outlook > iPhone/iPad
the problem was limited to events assigned to one particular Category I had created in Outlook
that Category, unlike any others, had commas in the name
I removed the commas in the name and the problem was resolved.
Hope this helps at least some folks.

Capturing KFF Event to update fields.

Hi,
I have created a custom OAF page with an advanced table.
I am trying to capture the event when the Chart of accounts KFF is invoked and updates the ccid column as I then have to update an additional few fields when this is updated as part of selecting the charge code from the CCID.
so far I acannot seem to get an event to fire either after the CCID is populated or when the KFF is finished.
Does any one have any suggestions?

KFF Actions appear to be operating on a different level.
I had that code in there, but it never fired anything, there is never an event when a KFF was fired.
I have a code combination field in a table, so when the code combination is selected, I want to fire off some post actions to update the table row.
The charge code KFF field works correctly, but I cannot seem to get hold of an event at all to complete my post processing to update information such as description of share codes etc.
Surely someone has had to work with this???

How to find my iMovie projects and events since updating??????

i updated my macbook pro retina to osx mavericks then my iMovie to the newer version. I now can't find or use my pervious projects or events and I've spent days hrs on some of them. I stored and use most of my projects/events on my external hd. its hooked up. can someone who knows how this works walk me through how to get my imovie projects and events linked from my external hd to this new imovie version that for some reason cant link them like the pervious.
I hate when something work and then it gets updated and it doesnt work the same... frustrating.

okay, do a search for iMovie cache or iMovie thumbnails, and you'll probably find them. Unless you choose reject clips and then move rejected clips to the trash, then check the cache or thumbnails, your clips won't be truly gone. Just deleting them from the windows doesn't quite work. Sorry I can't remember the technical name for 'em, just going by my experience. Also, try deleting your project, and throwing that rascal in the trash, then start again. Usually it's becuz you chose copy the original rather than move it (to be on the safe side), like I did......
