Events on iPod calendar off by 1 hour

I just started syncing my iCal to my 5G iPod. All the events on the iPod calendar show up one hour early. I verified my iPod time is set to Pacific timezone & that Daylight Savings Time is off. I verified my computer time is set to PST. I tried setting iCal Timezone support on & off.
I've reviewed the iPod & iCal support pages and searched the earlier forum postings here and on iCal forums with help.
Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Bill Weller

I also had success using this method, from above:
On iPhone, go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Scroll way down to Time Zone Support. Note that it's listed as GMT-4. Turn slide button to OFF, then back to ON. Note that it automatically goes to Washington, DC (GMT-5).
Calendar appointment times now correct.
Time on the iPhone updated automatically for daylight savings, but the Time Zone Support function didn't make the one-hour shift; they ended up out by an hour from one another. Forcing Time Zone Support to refresh its settings was all that was needed.

  • Calendars off by 1 hour when syncing to iPhone

So just recently I noticed that the events that are being synced to my iPhone are off by one hour. All events appear fine on my computer and on mobile me. The events on my iPhone are off by one hour. Any ideas. I do have time zone support turned on as I am constantly traveling between different time zones, but I doubt that is the issue as it just started happening over the past week. I am thinking it has something to do with daylight savings time.

You really should use the search facility - there are dozens of posts on the subject and the broad conclusion is 'carrier confusion'. You almost certainly are not doing anything wrong, but the difference in interpretation between what is in which time zone etc seems to be causing it. Mostly in the US I should add as most other countries haven't shifted yet.

  • The calendar events and alarms are off by 3 hours since updating to iOS 4.3

I updated to iOS 4.3 last night, and I have a problem where my Calendar times have been offset by 3 hours.
It states that I have an event that on Google Calendar that is set at 12 PM - 9 PM today, however when I view my iPhone calendar that the event goes from 9 AM - 6 PM.
In addition, the alarm for the event has been offset 3 hours AFTER the event. My alarm, which is set ten minutes before the event, went off at 2:50 PM.
Any thoughts? I have the event set to EST in Google Calendar, and the time is correct in Google Calendar.

Hi and welcome to Apple Discussions, Darby.
Is the Time Zone set correctly on your iPhone? Look in Settings, Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Scroll down and make sure the Time Zone is set to the correct Time Zone.
If thats not it, this Apple document might help -> http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2339.

  • Contacts not syncing & Calendar off by 1 hour

    Specs:
    1st generation iPhone running 2.0.1
iMac 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running 10.5.4
    iTunes 7.7.1
    Overview:
My phone is not syncing properly and it's causing me to show up to meetings at incorrect times and not have contact information with me on the road when I know it should be there.
    Contacts:
It seems to pick and choose which contacts it wants to sync from the iMac to the iPhone. It never completley syncs with the address book.
    Calendar:
The Calendar is one hour early on the iPhone then what it should be. Also, the color coated calendars are not keeping the correct color (not a big deal, but though I should mention it).
    What I've tried so far:
    Restoring the iPhone
Checking the "replace info" boxes in iTunes
    Resetting iSync History
Turning Daylight Savings on and off
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Calendar Off by One Hour

Since I updated to iOS5, my calendar is behind by one hour.  I have checked both timezone settings and both are accurate.  Help?

When you check the time zone, you also need to click on it to see what city you are tied to.  A map will pop up with the city name.  When I switched from a city in Guatemala to Minneapolis, I got back to Daylight Savings time.

  • Calendar events off by 1 hour on iPhone and iPad

Since Sydney went into daylight savings time this week, events entered on my Mac appear 1 hour later on my iPhone, and events entered on my iPhone appear 1 hour earlier on my Mac.
Clock on Mac and iPhone both agree on the time.
Time zone on Mac (System Preferences>Date & Time) set to automatic timezone which is correctly displayed as Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).
Time zone on iPhone (Settings>general>Date & Time) set to auto and currently displays "Sydney".
Time zone support on iPhone (Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars) set to 'on' and time zone displayed as "Sydney"
Interestingly, the same problem also affects my iPad, and affects both my iCloud calendar events and my Google Calendar events.
Any ideas about what I should do?
    Thanks,

A screen dump showing iCloud in Safari and iCal on my Mac, with both iCloud and iCal set to Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEDT) but the event out by an hour on iCloud (and hence iPhone I guess).

  • Calendar entries off by 1 hour

I just got an iPod Nano yesterday and told iTunes to sync my calendars and contacts (all of them) and it synced over, but there are 2 problems with the calendar. 1) All my entries are 1 hour before they should be. I checked the events and they're set to US/Pacific time; my Mac is set to Pacific Standard Time and so is the iPod. Looks to me like a daylight savings time bug. Has anyone else seen this. 2) All day events show up at 12 am which it kind of odd.
Thanks in advance for any advice to fix these problems.

Hm. I'm still having this problem even after setting all the time zones correctly. I even Restored my iPod nano and still the calendar events are off by an hour. They are correct on my SE T616, however.
I have hundreds of events, many with alarms, set up in iCal and I simply am not going to recreate them all. The only way I can get my nanoPod to display the calendar events correctly is to set the time zone to US Pacific (DST) then adjust the time back one hour. I find this "hack" a bit annoying.
Are there any other solutions to this besides recreating events in iCal?

  • 1st ical sync with iphone...all events off by 2 hours

Why? All ical events got transferred to my iphone but the time is off by 2 hours...all iphone events are showing up 2 hours later than when I originally scheduled them in my iMac ical program (the ical events on my iMac are still displaying at the correct time)
Also, on my iphone, my 5 different ical calendars all synced, and all have a different color next to them, but the colors do not match the colors for the calendars created in ical on my iMac (ex: I created my dissertation calendar in red on my iMac but it shows up as orange on my iphone; I created my travel calendar in green on my iMac but it shows up as blue on my iphone, etc).
Does anyone know why this happened and how to correct?
    Thanks!

Hey that worked! I was unaware of that setting on my iphone. Actually, I left time zone support turned on, but set the time zone for Denver (I'm on mountain time) instead of the Washington, DC zone it was set for.
As far as the colors being off, we'll see if anyone else comes along with an idea for that one. (Too bad there's no setting to turn on for "keep the calendar colors the same!")
    In the meantime, THANKS!

  • Calendar sync time off by one hour

When I sync my BB Curve 8530, version 5.0, by Verizon with Outlook 2007 calendar, the appointment time is off by one hour.  The BB Curve always shows the appt time one hour later than Outlook.  When I schedule an all day event, it begins at 1 am and carries over to the next day at 1 am.  I've verified time zone settings for both.  Not sure what else to do or check.  Any advice is greatly appreciated so I won't be late again!!!

  • Calendar syncing to phone off by 1 hour

when I sync my calendar to my iPhone, everything syncs 1 hour off. For example, I have a meeting today at 12:30pm. I confirmed that everything is accurate in my Calendar on my computer. When it syncs to my iPhone, it shows up in the iPhone Calendar as taking place at 11:30am. Everything I sync to the iPhone is off by one hour. This is a significant problem for me, as I always have to remind myself that the event is actually happening an hour later than my phone tells me. what is the problem?

    Joe Otoole,
Make sure your computer, and if you are using Exchange the Exchange Server, are not still set to use Daylight Savings.
The iPhone when set to Standard Time will adjust events loaded with Daylight Savings in their time settings back 1 hour.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • WebOS Calendar - one meeting 1 hour off

I am using a Palm Pixi and have not had it long enough to go thru a daylight savings time change with it yet.  When I sync'd up my Outlook calendar on the Pixi, everything seemed fine at first.  Now I have one meeting that my reminder goes off 1 hour 15 minutes before the meeting.  The meeting is a recurring meeting at 9 AM weekdays (same time zone as me) and displays that way in my calendar, both in Outlook and on my Pixi.  The alarm is set at 15 minutes.
It is possible that this meeting was created before DST took affect, but this is the only meeting on my calendar to be off by an hour.  All of my other meetings (and there are many of them, including recurring meetings) are right on time.  Any ideas?

  • Lion 10.7.2 On both mac book pro and iMac, both with Lion 10.7.2, obtain repeated iCal event notifications from calendar or address book.  Cannot turn these off.  They repeat several times per session and every time computer is used.  How to diagnose this

Lion 10.7.2 On both mac book pro and iMac, both with Lion 10.7.2, obtain repeated iCal event notifications from calendar or address book.  Cannot turn these off.  They repeat several times per session and every time computer is used.  How to diagnose this?

First, uninstall "SuperTV" (whatever that is) according to the developer's instructions. It isn't working and it's filling the log with noise.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
    Launch the Console application.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Post the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message. When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
PLEASE DO NOT INDISCRIMINATELY DUMP THOUSANDS OF LINES FROM THE LOG INTO A MESSAGE. If you do that, I will not respond.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.
    Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

  • ICal and iPod - can't remove triplicate events in iPod's calendar - why?

I've got iTunes set to sync Address Book and iCal with my iPod 60G Video unit. In iCal, I have 2 calendars - School and Home and I've only have a few events on a few days accross several months. In my iPod Calendar, it displays both calendar folders correctly, but when I view "school", it shows events in triplicate and for every day; However, in iCal, it's as I want it.
I've tried deleting files from my iPod, deleting p.list prefs for iCal etc, backing up iCal to my documents folder and dragging that to my iPod -- none of which worked. I also opened the iPod version of my Calendar events and used it to update my iCal events and then disconnected the iPod. I removed the triplicate events from iCal and saved it to backup, then reconnected my iPod to update the "corrected" calendars via iTunes. But still, when I connect my iPod and boot iTunes, it updates with triplicate events of my school calendar. I've got my prefs in iTunes set to update both calendars (school and Home). What am I not doing? Any ideas?

I don't have an answer - but I'm having a similar problem: my entries are repeating everyday on my iPod even though they're only single day events in iCal
