Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative to iCal that will interface with the Cloud so it works on the iPhone and the Macbook? I find iCal to be poorly designed and not very efficient. I waste a lot of time entering information because you can't go to a specific day and enter information, nor can you navigate between months and add information on a specific date by clicking on the date. You can't easily scroll month-to-month and once you do by scrolling through nine months to get to where you want to be, you cannot enter information by clicking on a specific day in the month and entering information. I just called Apple and they verified that this is the way it works. You cannot go to a date and enter information, you keep getting thrown back to today and then you have to go into the calendar and change it manually on the screen. It is just not efficient.

The method is there. Maybe your wizard in NWDS is not creating it automatically. After all - it's just a wizard.
The method is already implemented in your super class. Just type 'super.' and your IDE will show you the method.
Now overwrite it. And implement your code.

Whenever you send a request to the portal a component called 'Request Manager' is involved.
This Request Manager builds up the whole structure of your page, the so called POM-tree.
(POM stands for 'Portal Object Model').
This tree contains all iViews the page is build of.
The iViews may be structured (i.e. within pages). That's why the POM is a tree and not just a list.
The Request manager determines all the iViews and their structure before they get rendered/called/processed.
If all iViews are determined their doOnNodeReady Methods and their doOnPOMReady methods are called. See the link contained in my first answer
They are called one by one as they are stored hirarchically in the tree.
If all doOnNodeReady and all doOnPOMReady Methods have been processed, the rendering of the iViews starts
This is done by calling the doContent method.

How do I set up calendar events that will be for another time zone? My events shift once I travel. The same is true when I am traveling and in another time zone, how do I best set up my events so they are in the correct time slot upon my return?

Basically, if your client does not have a Mac then don't use iWeb to create the site. iWeb is Mac only and if a client wishes to make alterations, then they need the domain file.
If your client needs to update on a weekly basis, then why not consider using one of the online website creation packages where you can log in from any Mac or PC. This would be simpler and there are lots out there - Microsoft Office Live or Google or something like http://www.wix.com where you can create a site and use a domain name with it.
Look at the alternatives before using iWeb.

          What is the difference between weblogic.transaction.internal.TimedOutException and Stuck Thread exception.
          I found the following definitions for both the exceptions.
          Stuck Thread exception :
          WebLogic Server diagnoses a thread as stuck if it is continually working (not idle) for a set period of time. You can tune a server's thread detection behavior by changing the length of time before a thread is diagnosed as stuck, and by changing the frequency with which the server checks for stuck threads.           Timeout Seconds:
          The transaction timeout in seconds. If the transaction is still in the "active" state after this time (counting from begin()), it is automatically rolled back.           What is this "active" and "prepared" state ?
          And by default, the timeout-seconds is 30 seconds and StuckThread-seconds is 600 seconds. Does that mean that a timeout exception will occur before every StuckThread exception.
          It will be great if anyone can explain me this in detail.

          yes you're timedOut will occur before you're Stuck Thread alert.
          For information stuck thread don't throw Exception: just an error log like:

          Wich time out , you're transaction is rolledback and you're process continue to do his work But you've got an exception at the next access to a ressources managed in the transaction (sql queyr or try to commit....)
          The transaction is in active state after the begin() and prepared state between the first call (prepared()) in a two phase commit and the second phase (commit()).

Remember that the ADML-files are language specific and stored in language specific folders. The ADLM-files is used to present information in ADMX files in a localized manner.
To create the Central Store:
ADMX-files goes here:
\\domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\PolicyDefinitions
ADML-files goes here:
\\domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\PolicyDefinitions\EN-US (For US English)
\\domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\PolicyDefinitions\NB-NO (For Norwegian)
\\domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\PolicyDefinitions\KO-KR (For Korean).. and so on...
So if you have your EN-US folder populated with all relevant ADML-files, but open GPMC from, lets say a Workstation with Norwegian language, it will try to access the nb_NO Folder. If no files are there, an error is presented.
For all i know, maybe some of your ADMX / ADML files are broken.
It should be no problem to re-download them and replace the ones you are having problems with.

Just like <Dinae> said above, this behavior occurs because Outlook does not allow you to define a calendar work day that spans midnight.

"The end date can't be set to occur before the start date" issue

I have a subscribed calendar that draws from data in a Filemaker database. In all of these records, the start date & end date are the same. When I try to refresh the description, it fails with a "NSCocoaErrorDomain / error 1560" error, and the console log shows "The end date can't be set to occur before the start date."
Well, it doesn't occur before the start date. It's the same as the start date. I can work around this by setting my Filemaker database to add a day to the end date, but that's a clunky solution.
Anyone else run into anything like this?
(iCal 4.0.3 and OS X 10.6.4, btw)

It may not be the same problem, but the message was the same (end date...etc). I tore my hair out at the time trying to solve it. It was on my fathers computer. Everything appeared to be correct and consistent. What solved it was logging into MobileMe/account/personal info/time zone, where I found the time zone was wrong. I can't remember the detail now but at the time it seemed like a third place where time had to be correct. Worth your checking there anyway.

Very strange! All of my calendar events have reappeared. This has happened one week after downloading iOS 7
The calendar however, is not easy to use.
The typing function on the phone has become even slower. Have to wait for each letter to show on screen.

That's definitely strange, kzmidge. I want a working phone in your hands though. I noticed you mentioned you received the suggestion to complete a reset. Did you already do that? Is it working again? Are you receiving an error message?
If you hesitated a little longer to complete the reset, you can try to place your phone into Safe Mode http://vz.to/rxg0ii and see if you can access mobile sites from your browser. This mode will stop 3rd party applications from running, so you won't be able to use the apps you mentioned but we may be able to narrow down the trouble in Safe Mode. If the mobile sites work, that means the trouble may be in a recently downloaded application and you may be able to avoid the reset my uninstalling some of your more recently installed applications. If it's still giving you trouble, the reset http://vz.to/18wzOCi is the next best step.
