EVENTS WITH SCRIPTS not visible

Hi,
I am not able to see the events with scripts in the SHOW drop down.
How can I get the above to have the calculations done?
the version of the designer is 8.0

When it displays in the “default Calendar view” ,it shows "Event Permissions" option under EVENTS ribbon, this option can set permissions for a single
event. Click
” List Settings “
option under CANLENDAR ribbon, the "Permissions for this list” option can set permissions for the entire calendar.
When it displays in the "All Events" view, it shows "Shared With" option both
in the ITEMS and LIST ribbon. This option under the ITEMS can set permissions for a single event. This option under the LIST can set permissions for the entire calendar.

This has been moved from HCM to Enterprise Components. You see this a lot, where functionality is moved from the application to Enterprise Components. This makes is easier to patch frameworks, since this is separated from the application core. You saw the same shift with for example Approval FrameWork. From PT to HCM to EC.

Firefox is taking a long time to open. When it does open, I get a pop up box with "Script not running". Bookmarks on my tool bar don't load. Scrolling is unreliable--it will stop in the middle of a page

What is causing the "script not running"? Why so long to open? Etc.

First off I need a little more information to help with troubleshooting. You say that an error occurs when you "try to re-open the same problem app before the old session completely exits". Does the error have an error code or dialog display? It may also be possible to receive an error log. Here is a knowledge base that explains how to retrieve error logs.

Messages arrive with body not visible

I am starting to see a number of mail messages arriving in my Inbox which I cannot read because the content is not visible. The message size in the Message viewer suggests that there is content (15kB, for example) but no amount of manipulation -- e.g., selecting the whole message and trying to force the text color to black -- seems to work.
If I click "reply" then in the composition window which appears the message is visible.
When this first started happening I thought there was something funny about the sender's software, but these invisible messages are coming from a variety of sources.
This has just started happening in the last week or so.
Is anyone else seeing this?

I quit Mail and restarted it -- the invisible messages are now visible.
It is still a mystery since this problem has spanned several launches of the Mail app.

Recurring events with scripts don't work

Hi guys,
I have these recurring events in which I set those scripts as the alarm. The first time the event occurs the script launches as anticipated but after any recurrent event will not trigger the script at all.
Is this a known problem with iCal? I have read there were some problems with recurring events in ical...
Also would there be a way to monitor the activity behind the scene to see where it fails? And perhaps a way check if my script is the problem although it always works the first time the event occurs...

Event manager script not working as expected

On a Cisco 4900M running Version 12.2(53)SG1, trying to capture certain information requested by Cisco TAC to troubleshoot periodic high cpu usage on the device causing it to momentarily not respond to HSRP packets from the HSRP partner.
This is the script in place today:

Problem is, when the cpu does spike, only action 3.1 is executed.

Let me first explain why your script is not working for you.
Basically, the problem you encounter is a result of a common misconception about copyin(). It is intended to be used to copy content of userspace memory into a scratch buffer so that it can be accessed directly from within kernel space (where the DTrace core executes). That said, it is often interpreted as somehow being equivalent to malloc() whereas in reality it actually works like alloca() instead. So, what you are seeing is basically the artefact of the scratch buffer being overwritten with other data. And unfortunately, that is perfectly legal.
The content of the scratch buffer pointed to by self->addr in your script is only valid for as long as the specific probe enabling is executing (it is clause-local). So, your clauses to print out the actual bytes in the buffer are looking at a buffer that is for all intends and purposes no longer reserved, and therefore you are looking at it after other data was written to the scratch space.
So... in order for this to work, you should do things a bit different. Rather than trying to get a copy of the buffer in one clause, and then read from it in following clauses, you can simply collect the buffer address in the entry read:entry clause, get the number of bytes read in the first read:return clause, and then for every clause in which you print 4 bytes do the following (example for bytes 4-7):

So basically, for every clause that print 4 bytes you copyin those bytes, and then print them out.

Action with script not working today!

HELP! I have an action with a script in it that I use daily. Today I get an error message that says

What do I do next?? As far as I know nothing has changed on the computer since yesterday morning when it was fine.

Okay, I figured out how to attach a screen shot.

This error is generated by the script because it can not save the document for some reason. Without seeing the script it is hard to give you an answer.
It could be that the document you were working on had not been saved previously, so there was no path.

Unable to rotate pdf with script(not allowed error security settings prevent error)

I am using a script to rotate each pages in pdf file when clicking a button. I have added a script to rotate file in the rotate button's click event as a javascript.It is working in acrobat but not in adobe reader. Pleae see the script

Responsive animation with script - not ok in Wordpress

My problem is that I use Wordpress and the Edge Animate plug-in and when I insert the animation there the script seems to do nothing. I'm not a coder so I have no idea what might be happening. I'm going to post this on the Wordpress plug-in support page and see is the developer has any ideas. I'll report back about that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since this script seems very useful!

Ok, so the creator of the script, Sarah Justine came up with this solution:
I was able to get this to work, but not using shortcodes.
Follow the same method of uploading an OAM as you normally would. We’re going to use HTML instead of shortcodes, and Edge Suite will still populate your page with the necessary files.
Instead of the shortcode, use this:
<div style="width:100%; height:auto"><div id="Stage" class="EDGE-78729757"></div></div>
You can change the width to be whatever % you want and add some more inline CSS. Grab the class name from whatever Edge Suite reports from the composition.
I can't get this to work sadly. Continuing discssion with Sarah.
The WP plug-in developer came up with this change to the actual script:
The fix is actually quiet simple, just remove the # in front of '#Stage' within
sym.$("#Stage").css so it says sym.$("Stage").css. That should fix the whole thing and it should also work with shortcodes. Let me know if that solves it for you.

I have a problem in launching scripts from interaction web center.Below you can see that there is a sample script available (and the validity of the script is from 6th June to 11th june 2014)
But when i go to the Interaction web center, i am not able to see any scripts.Please have a look and let me know how this can be fixed.

Solved it on my own.
We have to assign the script profile ID to our Business role to see the script in web UI.
go to CRM-->UI Framework-->Define Business Role.
Select your Business Role here and under assign function profile, you need to give the script profile Id.

Java Script not visible on this computer...

My web-site seems to work for every one but me. Is there something I can download that will allow me to view the script on my page? It won't let me click from horse to horse, I have to reload the page every time. Yet it works for everyone else, is there anything I can do?

Subpanel with visa not visible in executable

I wanted to attach two VIs but for some reason the "post" button on this forum doesn't work when you try to add an attachment and hoovers over the browse button. Anyway, the VIs would have been called Main and subpanelVi.
The Main.vi contains a subpanel and loads subpanelVi.vi in it with an invokeNode. subpanelVi.vi contains a "VISA Open" vi and a string control. When I open Main in the development environment I see the string control in the subpanel. When I create an executable of the Main.vi and run it I don't see the string control in the subpanel, I also can't stop the while loop of the Main.vi. The same happens when placing a "VISA Find Resource" vi in the subpanelVi.vi.
I would like to use these VISA-VIs in a subVI who's FP I would like to be displayed in a subpanel. Why does this go wrong and how to solve it?

I checked the checkbox Window Appearance\Customize\Show Front Panel When Called but that didn't solve the problem.
Ranjeet_Singh: If I only build an executable I don't see how to include VISA. Is it not only possible to include libraries in the Installer Builder?
The FP only does not show when I place a "VISA find resource" or "VISA Open" on the blockdiagram of the subVI I want to put in a subpanel.
I noticed that in the executable when I stop the while loop of my "main.vi" (the one that invokes the subVI), the main stopped because i can see the icon top-righ but apperently the "VISA Open" is still running. Only when I click the red abort button the main.vi window closes and disappears.
How to include VISA in the "build executable definition" and why does this problem not occur when placing a "VISA write" or "VISA read" on the blockdiagram for example?

New role with workbooks not visible

Dear all,
I have something strange. I created a role and I saved workbooks in it.
When I create a new workbook and save, I can see this role and I can save the workbook in my role (this role is assigned to me).
However, when I reopen the workbook, I go to the Role tab but I have nothing: no role and thus no workbook.
Do you have any idea?

Hi Ric,
I know that behavior from my own experience. Up to now I just came up with a workaround solution. When you want to open the saved workbook, you can go to "Search" tab where you can search for the workbook description. This search seems to be case sensitive, so be careful with that.
If someone else found another solution I am interested in that, too.

Calendar account events not visible on iOS

I have a user with a server account, that gets his settings for his calendar from a profile.
With the profile installed on any of 3 Macs he sees this for his calendar account
server account (Hide or Show)
name@server
wiki calendar; calendar of a OS X wiki
team A calendar; shared calendar with a group of people
team B calendar; another shared calendar, different group.
The issue is that for a few days, on his iphone, with the same profile installed, he sees all the calendars listed above, except that for "name@server", none of the activities or events are shown.
name@server is checked in the list of calendars within the calendar app.
Not sure what to do. I removed and reinstalled the profile, adding new calendars to that account work fine, but the main account (name@server) calendar information (appointment, events, etc) is not visible on the iPhone.
I can add events on the iPhone to that calendar, they are visible on the Macs.
Any even added to that calendar on the Mac does not show up on the iPhone.
Changing the event to one of the other calendars for that account, makes it visible on the iPhone.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

Ok, I finally figured it out or better I finally got it to work after playing with it. For those who have the same issues I will give you the steps I have taken. It might sound a bit senseless but I didn't know what I was doing might actually make it work.
Anyways, I read somewhere that in order to be able to set a default Calendar in Settings they added a CalDAV account. I didn't have one but I do have a gmail account. Before adding that I tried again turning on and off the iCloud calendar which didn't help.
Then I went to the ical app on the iphone and added a new calendar which I called the same as my main one on the iCloud site (HomeCloud). I rebooted the phone every time I made a change. But didn't help either.
Then I deleted my iCloud account on the iphone reboooted and added it again, rebooted. Now the "Calendars" calendar was not on the iphone anymore but I could see my main HomeCloud, my UK Holiday and the gmail account calendar but nothing was synced.
Last step I tethered the iphone to my imac and synced via iTunes again and voila I could see everything synced correctly. Last thing I had to uncheck the gmail calendar on the iphone because it was set as the default and now the events I put in the iphone sync correctly with the iCloud site and my icals on my machines.
I hope this will help whoever has the same issue.

Events with Scrpts and JavaScript in ADOBE forms

On an Adobe form I have field for sub totals. I am trying to choose 'Events with Scripts' on the SHOW pull down values and choose JavaScript in the language. I was able to do this some time ago but now, I am able to choose Events with Scripts but not being able to choose JavaScript for language.
I do not have much exp. with Adobe or JavaScript but I checked whatever I could think of but could not figure out. Any body ran into this issue before? Any ideas?

By trial and error, what I did is, chose 'Calculate' in the Show menu then chose JavaScript in the Language pull down menu. Then added my JavaScript code. Then went back and change 'Calculate' in the Show menu to Events with Scripts. Saved and executed it . It worked.
