Events won't load from new to old

My events will not change from old to new even when I uncheck in the view menu.

On the iPad tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Documents & Data off then back on then reset your iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

My JSP engine won't load the new source from my page, even know I saved it, and I restarted apache, and resaved the files again, no dice! It must be running off of cash, it's not in my browser cash I cleared it out too, what else can I do?

Tomcat checks to see if the JSP has changed since it was last compiled with you request that page... So, if the file is updated, it should recompile it. Are you sure that when you update the page, you're updating the same copy of the page? (the location defined in the server.xml file)

I want to install the latest version of i tunes. I recieve an error that the MSI file is missing. It won't load the new version and I can not delete the software either. HELP!

I have a windows computer running xp. I can not load the latest version of I tunes. I receive an error message that the 'msi" file can not be found. I can not delete I tunes for the same reason.

Flash won't load from creative suite..

I downloaded a trial of Flash from the Adobe site 5 months
ago. I recently purchased Creative Suite 3 w/ Flash included.
Every program from my newly purchased CS3 disks load up and
activate except for Flash. When I tried to reinstall from the
disk it tells me that Flash is already installed, but when I look
in the application folder it's no where to be found. I trashed the
old expired trial version and tried to reload - still no success??
Any suggestions...?

look for links for player installation troubleshooting.
Also make sure that anti spy ware / ad ware and other that
type
of tools are not set to block flash content.
Some of these tools do that by default

MacBook won't boot from new hard drive.

I'm trying to upgrade my hard drive, but my macbook will not boot to the new hard drive. I have erased and cloned the hard drive about three times now, using both Carbon Copy Cloner and SuperDuper. It won't boot while it is in the macbook and it won't boot from an external hard drive case. All I get to is the screen with the mac logo and the spinning wheel. I have made sure the drive is GUID formatted, but it still doesn't work. When I put the new drive in an external case and plug it into the USB port of my macbook I can see and access everything on the drive. Can somebody please tell what I am doing wrong?
By the way the new hard drive is a 500gb western digital Scorpio blue drive.

I got a new hard drive recently 500gb seagate. I followed the directions on this page http://www.ehow.com/how2063795format-hard-drive-mac-os.html , Mine was a little more complicated since i had 2 partitions windows and mac on mine. Initially the process took a day and it started getting to the same thing as yours where it would get to the mac logo and not find the hard drive. I reformatted several times before i got to the point where i could boot up.Eventually I just figured out all the info was there the drive was formatted i could boot into windows 7 but not mac. So i put old hard drive back in the computer booted up with that. Attached new hard drive via usb in external case i was trying to put in the mac. I was able not to boot up but it would show the drives that have been formatted into the new drive and i simply copied my existing Disk by dragging it onto the new hard drive. Than turn off your mac keep your hard drive plugged in. Press and hold the option key in start up and you should see the 2 seperate hard drives and be able to boot into the new one. Was a long process for me took several complete deletes of the new hard drive and reformatting before it would work. once you get to the mac logo and spinning wheel its just saying mac cant find your boot up disk though. Sorry its confusing a bit any questions email me.

PE8 edit won't load from start screen in XP Pro

I have just installed PE8 in place of Pinnacle Studio Plus 10.8 which I've been using for a few years with few problems. It seems to install OK with no error messages but It won't load "new project" from the start screen although it will load "organiser". I also can't get into "new project" from the organiser. My computer is running XP Pro and has a single core Intel Pentium 4 processor running at 2.66GHz with 2Gig of RAM. Should I be able to run PE8 on my system?

You should be -- assuming you have at least 30 gigabytes of free, defragmented space on your C drive and all of your operating system and Quicktime updates.
A Pentium, though, is way at the lower end of the required power to run this program. Unlike previous versions of the program, version 8 needs a huge amount of power to run. I can barely run it on my Pentium 4, and then only with basic miniDV editing, although it runs much better on my dual-core 2.6 ghz machine.
To see how much power it needs to start up and run, open the Task Manager (right-click on your Windows Task Bar) and watch how long it takes for your processor to settle down when you launch the program. On my Pentium, it can take over 5 minutes to open a project and stabilize!

Image won't load from XML

I am making a gallery using xml and as3. I've run into a
problem very early and I'm not too good with Actionscript yet. So
I've come here for some help.
What I want right now, is to have an image be loaded from a
xml file, which is working for me. And then have a white movieclip
come in a resize behind the image to be a frame for the image. I
haven't gotten to this part yet. My problem starts when I try to
load the image with a blank movieclip to position it. The image
loads, but the eventListener won't run the imageLoaded function. If
I remove the function and just have
holder_mc.addchild(imageLoader); Then it works, but I need the
image to load and then resize the movieclip frame, and then display
both right? How can I accomplish this?

I was trying to solve this myself just last night and after
seeing your post today I figured maybe I can help you out (as long
as I'm addressing the problem you have).
apparently the addEventListener needs a kick start from
something else. If you look up the Loader class in the Flash help
files it provides an example near the bottom that holds the key.
I'm providing a shorthanded solution that I derived from it.
Rather than:
imageLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,
completeHandler);
There is another piece in the in the middle of the process:
"contentLoaderInfo"
imageLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,
completeHandler);

App Store won't load from dock

Hi,
I am 10.6.8 with all updates current and wish to download Lion. The Icon for App Store won't load the app store and I've gone to iTunes trying to find the download site, no luck.
I'm in the U.S. Virgin Islands and was searching to see if I'm red-lined due to location?
Anyone have comments?

Looked at various forums, removed a few items from Library based on Apple Discussion recommendations.
Still no luck.

Maybe it isn't a good time to upgrade, and I should wait until the next version. The bug reports should be resolved sometime soon.
This experience is moving me away from upgrading and it is annoying me because this has been a waste of no small amout of my time.

ImageIcons won't load from a jar

ok i have an application that uses imageicons.
i load the images like this:
setIcon(new ImageIcon(new URL("file:" + imageName + ".gif")));it works absolutely fine when i run it though eclipse, but when i package it all into a jar, the images won't load. it doesnt throw exceptions or anything, the images just don't show up.
everything is clanking around loose in my jar, there are no packages or directories. im using the latest jdk and the latest jre.

i found the solution by searching the forums.
turns out one of my images had a capitalized extension.

Firefox won't load from dock when another web site is loaded

For example: Hotmail or any other website is the current site loaded.
If I click the Firefox icon in the dock, FF doesn't load. I have to close the current site, then FF will load from the dock.

Game won't load with new quicktime?!

After downloading the latest version of quicktime a game i've played with no problems for a couple of years (civilization III) suddenly won't load on my iBook (G4, os10.4 i think). Any suggestions? Can i uninstall without affecting other things? Or install an older version? Thus far it seems my only option is to buy the next version which seems a bit unfair given the other one was working just fine. Perhaps apple should be made to instigate a part-exchange to upgrade!!!

Before doing anything drastic as an Archive & Install to move to a lower QT version, I suggest that you update your OS system first. According to your system info, you are using the basic Tiger version which is outdated.
You should update your OS all the way up to the last Tiger version, use Software Update to install all the available updates that goes along w/your computer & the OS.
Repair permissions & restart your computer.

Change View to list event from New to Old

In the iPhoto app it was possible to view your events from 'newest to oldest'. However in the new Photo app my events are listing old to new which means I have to scroll down to get to the latest event and I can't find a way to reverse the order (the only other option seems to be by event name). Can anyone find a way to view the events with the newest event at the top?

Tell Apple what additional features you want in Photos via both http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html and http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html since they don't have a feedback page for Photos as yet.

New blank HD won't load from disk

I just installed a new HD on my IMac 24" Early 2008. I get a message to restart my computer. I have held down the C key and it works for a while then gives me the gray screen and the message to restart my computer. Any suggestions?

Did you insert the Leopard installer DVD into the optical drive, then try restarting and using the C key?
Booting From An OS X Installer Disc
1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple
logo appears.
5. Wait for installer to finish loading.
Or:
Boot Using OPTION key:
1. Restart the computer.
2. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the
"OPTION" key.
3. Release the key when the boot manager appears.
4. Select the desired disk icon from which you want to boot.
5. Click on the arrow button below the icon.
You need to insert the DVD first in either of the above.
