We have a development and a production server for LC. I have events working on the development server that accept parameters.
The services were deployed to the production server and the following error occured:

I took the xml from the production service and ran it through the development server, it worked fine.
Any idea as to where to start the troubleshooting?

It would seem that when the LCA we created to be pushed to production, the event template XSD did not get rolled up. So when the LCA was deployed, there was no definition for the event.
What would cause this? Do you have to select another option when creating the LCA? Do you have to re-define the template after the LCA is deployed?
Further information would be greatly appreciated.

Why does wireless work for one laptop and not the other?

I have two laptops:
1) MacBook: 10.4.8, Airport Exteme (Firmware 1.0.46)
2) G4: 10.3.9, Airport Extreme (405.1 (3.90.0.p18)
I have the two machines sitting right next to each other in my apartment. Machine #1 has full wireless signal strength. Machine #2 barely has any wireless signal. Neither is running Interference Robustness. Any ideas why one would work and the other would not, or suggestions as to how to debug this problem?
I have tried stopping and restarting the Airport Extreme card on machine #2. I have also tried power cycling machine #2. This does not fix the problem.
A little more history: for a long time I was having problems with machine #2 dropping the wireless connection. As part of trying to work around these problems I turned on Interference Robustness on machine #2. This fixed the dropping signal problem, but left me with weak signal strength. I shut off Interference Robustnes but ever since then the signal has still been weak on machine #2.

The base station uses a single channel which all clients must use to connect.
Have you checked the antenna connection into the card? Many people are surprised about how far the wire is actually supposed to be pushed into the card. Compare the connection with the photos in KB 108039, Properly attaching the antenna on an AirPort Extreme Card.

How can I fix my iSight settings when it works on one account and not the other?

iSight continually crashes third party applications. I've checked another account on my MBP, and iSight works on different accounts. What settings can I troubleshoot on the account?

Although the documentation says you can copy Time Machine backups in the Finder, it's very slow and sometimes doesn't work at all.
Launch Disk Utility, open the built-in help, and search for the term "Duplicate." Follow the instructions. All existing data on the destination volume will be erased. That shouldn't be a problem, because you don't want to mix backup and non-backup data on the same drive anyway. Turn Time Machine OFF in its preference pane while copying the volume.

You didn't mention any color calibration being done on your monitor. This is an essential part of any color-correct workflow. What are you using to calibrate your monitor (and your printer)?
Print profiles (for soft-proofing as well as printing) are for specific combinations of paper & printer. The nine you have are each, most likely, for a common paper (perhaps mfr'd by Canon) to be used with your printer.
I don't know what you mean when you say "I choose a high standard print option".

IPhone 5 wifi works in one room but not the other.

I have an iPhone 5 and the wifi is unreliable. It works in the room with the router but when I walk down the hall it doesn't work. I'm talking 20 feet away. So frustrating because the phone is almost worthless. Why would it connect but only in such close range? No other devices have this problem. Yes, I've turned the wifi on and off. Yes, I've restarted the router. Yes, I've checked the WEP. It just makes no sense that it would work in one room but not the next room. Help!

Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.

Ipod works on one computer but not the other?

Can someone please help me? My ipod works on my laptop but not the desktop. When I plug the Ipod into the desktop it sometimes shows up in Itunes but says it's corrupt. Which it obviously isn't because it works fine on it's own when not plugged into a computer and it works fine when I plug it into the laptop. Also when I looked in my computer the Ipod would show up as drive j and it would flash on and off. Well, I tried plugging the Ipod into a different port and that worked as far as drive j stopped flashing on and off. I tried changing the drive name and it wouldn't let me because it always went back to drive j even after I changed it to drive z. Itunes is playing music and is up to date. I have Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Please help.

Also you might try forcing the iPod into disk mode first, then connecting it to your computer and see if that makes it show up in iTunes...

Family share works on one phone but not the other

My husband and I used to share an Apple ID so we could get contacts and calendars on each others devices. Photo library/sharing, calendar among other iCloud and Family Share opportunities to keep things separate yet some together seemed more practical. We have two children coming to the age where we will be getting them phones, but now I question which is the best way to set this up. His phone kept the original Apple ID and I created one for my phone. My phone works wonderful with family share in regards to Find My Phone and calendar and sharing to his phone. However his phone seems to have combined his ID with mine so when I change the family share photo of him, it changes my photo to the same one as his. He can not see me on Find My Phone, but the calendar he can see just fine that I create on my phone and share. He can share his location with me via txt msg, but I can not share mine with him. My iPhone 5 and iPad 3 seem to be connected ok with the exception of photo library not shared across the two and the ability to answer a call through the iPad.
Any ideas about what I am missing?

I Have similar concerns: my wife and me with ios7 shared an Apple ID in order to manage an unique contact list. Also we shared with our son the same Apple ID to access the iTunes store. But all of us used our own Apple ID to configure mail, calendars, FaceTime, iMessage and Friends App. Now, after updating to iOS 8 seems that the family option could be very useful to make order in our devices: everyone could configure its own device with its own Apple id. But it seems that it is not possible to share the contact list between different apple IDs among the same family. In the other hand, the application Friends now is associated to the icloud id, so if we decided to continue sharing the same ID, becomes impossible for my wife and me to know the location of each other Using the Friends App.
So, it could be very useful if Apple decided to let the possibility to share the contact list among users of the same family.
IS there another way to bypass our problem?

Execute Task works in one area but not the other

I have two Execute SQL Tasks. Each executes the same stored procedure from the SQL Statement property with a different parameter and they insert into the same table. One is at the end of the package and only runs if a Rollback
is done and it works fine. The other runs when a script is performed and returns Failure. When I run the other package and the Script fails the Execute SQL Task gets a green check mark but the table is not updated.
I've messed with the properties and still no luck.
I can right-click on the SQL Task choose "Execute Task" and it works.
I've run out of ideas.

Enterprise Mgr works with one db but not the other

We have two Oracle 10g databases installed. Enterprise Manager works with the second, but not the first. I believe the problem started when we migrated the host server to another network domain. Everything else works fine, but I'm getting a page load failure when attempting to access enterprise mgr.
The second db was installed after the migration and EM works fine.
Can anyone tell me how to reconfigure this?

All apps running slow in one account and not the others on my iMac

I have iMac (intel) 20" with Lion 10.7.3 with 4 GB of RAM. The problems is that one of my accounts all the applications run very very slow.
This account is one of two admin accounts. None of the other accounts have this problems. Does anyone have a suggest of what I can do.
I have tried reloading Safari, thinking it might be related to the recent flashback virus. I event downloaded a script from Mashable and they indicated that there was no Flashback Virus on my iMac. I also download that latest update from Apple for the JVM
So my questions is what is causing only one of my user accounts to be very very slow and it seems to be affecting all the applications.

Most likely corrupt or conflicting preferences files. While logged into the good admin account, backup the bad account's folder, delete the bad account, selecting the save data option (which stores the data in /Users/Deleted Users/ as a disk image), recreate the bad account using the same username/password combo, log out and back into the recreated original account. If the problem's solved, open the saved data dmg file in /Users/Deleted Users/, open the /Library/Preferences/ folder from the saved data, open the current /Users/restored account/Library/Preferences/ folder, and slowly copy plist files from the saved data folder to the current one that don't exist in it. Log out and back in to ensure there's no conflict and things still work correctly. Resolving conflicts or identifying corrupt plist files is a laborious process. Good luck.

Airport Working On One Computer But Not the Other

My G3 iBook is connecting to the internet, but my G5 iMac is not. It worked fine since I got the Airport 2 years ago, but now nothing. Under Network Diagnosis it has the Airport and Airport Settings buttons as green, the Network Settings as yellow and the ISP, Internet and Server as red. When I attempt to get it to scan for a network, it just rolls and says "Scanning"

Often when and after doing any download or update it can and will change your NETWORK Settings.
Go to your Apple and select System Preferences and then select Network form the G5 and be sure that Airport is selected and at the top of the list and you have the little green dot. If you don't have this your connection will not work. Drag Airport to the top of the list.

Deleting mail from one app and not the other

Hi,
I'm using Outlook 2011 on my Mac Pro and Apple Mail on my laptop. Outlook has a feature where you can "Delete copies from the server (After Deleting From This Computer)".
I've looked everywhere but Mail doesn't have this feature. How can I tell Mail to do the same as Outlook?

You are mixing two things -- server vs second computer. I have assumed this is a POP account because the option you mention is associated with POP accounts. Were it an IMAP account, then the Inbox resides on the server and if a message is deleted, no matter from what computer, it will be gone from the Inbox and server, and you would not have needed to ask the question.
So assuming it is a POP account, there is no email client -- Outlook included -- that will delete a message that has already been downloaded onto another computer from that second computer. What can be done, consistent with your original question, is that instructions can be given to remove the message from the POP3 server upon certain actions on any computer that has downloaded the message.
Where you see the option to remove from the server after one week, there is also the option to remove from the server when moved from the Inbox. Deleting is but one action that will remove a message from the Inbox, but this option if selected will then remove the message from the server.

GL security works for one report and not for other report.

Hi everybody,
We have setup GL security and for our discoverer reports we are calling
APPS.GL_SECURITY_PKG.VALIDATE_ACCESS( sl.SET_OF_BOOKS_ID,gl.CODE_COMBINATION_ID ) = 'TRUE' in the query.
Now among 3 reports, 2 are working fine but one report is not showing any data if i use the above condition.
Hint: That particular report is based on a Materialized view.
Any ideas??

Magic Mouse One-Finger Swipe Works for one user but not the other

For the main account on my iMac, I can use a single finger swipe to move back and forward within Chrome. However the second user (also an administrator) cannot use this setting and must instead use the two finger swipe in settings. Both settings are identical but the Chrome browser wont recognize the single finger swipe for the second user. The gesture works fine in Safari, but not Chrome. Any suggestions?

Keyboard works on one computer but not the other

I have an aluminum wireless keyboard that came with my Mac Pro (Early 2008). Some time ago, it just stopped working. I tested the bluetooth mouse and a few other bluetooth peripherals to check that it wasn't the Mac Pro's bluetooth that was malfunctioning. I was convinced that the keyboard was broken, and was about to take it to the Apple Store to get it fixed when I thought that maybe I should test the keyboard on another computer. When I did that, it worked perfectly, but it still does not work with my Mac Pro. I've tried changing the batteries and removing the pairing from my Mac Pro. When I try to re-pair it, the Mac Pro is unable to discover it. Thank you in advance for your help.
