Ever since Firefox updated, it won't open any of my EPUB files anymore. What is wrong?

Every time I click on my ebooks in the .epub format, I get a dialog box that asks me which program I want to use to open the file, or if I wish to save it. When I Firefox to open the file, Firefox simply opens another tab with another dialog box and the process simply repeats and repeats and repeats. Doesn't Firefox have the EPUB reader anymore?

GB '09 won't open ANY of my song files

I have a Core 2 Duo 3.06GHz iMac and have been using GB '09. The hard drive recently died so Apple put a new one in. I cloned my 15" MBP to the iMac and now GB '09 won't open any of my song files. I already tried deleting the GB files in Library/Preferences, and I have reinstalled iLife '09 once already and nothing has worked.
In the process of troubleshooting I even created a brand new song file and saved it to the desktop. I quit GB and then restarted it and tried to open the file I just created seconds ago and I get an error message saying:
The document "My Song.band" could not be opened.
Thay's it. No further info to help me try to figure out why. I've got about half a dozen third-party plugins but I'd rather not start monkeying around with them if I don't have to. I was hoping someone out there has had this happen and knows how to fix it. I know there are various pref and cache files squirreled around on the hard drive, just don't know exactly where and which ones are safe to delete to try and fix this problem.

Okay, problem solved. I tried trashing the test song file I created and got a message that "The item will be deleted immediately". This made me think there were some hard drive permission issues which may be causing my GB problem. I Google around the internet and found the cause and solution.
It seems I didn't have write access to my own "Home" folder on the HD. Pretty odd, but that was the case. I did a "Get Info" (Cmd+I) on my home folder and added my primary user with Read and Write privileges. After that, files I deleted would just sit in the trash as normal and I was able to open my song files in GB.

New updates won't transfer any MP4 or MP3 files anymore!

Ok... before the itune and ipod update, I've had absolutely no problem transfering my mp4 video files or my mp3 files into my ipod. I usually just drag the icons from my folder to itunes.
Now after updating in itunes 7 and updating my ipod through it, I cant transfer any mp4 or mp3 files anymore?!?!? What the heck? It will show it transfering at the top (of itunes) but I cant locate ANY of the new files I placed in my ipod. I ALWAYS use manual update and I dont want to change it because I dont want to lose all of my stuff on my ipod.
What the heck is the problem???

WAIT A SEC!!!! i think i've figured it out... just DOUBLE check and TRIPLE check that you have the LATEST version of quicktime... I thought I did, but as it turned out, i had version 7.0.4 when the latest is 7.1. So after i upgraded quicktime, itunes worked fine, and i was able to load videos onto both itunes and my ipod successfully.... even the 1.2 update stopped causing problems. Once again, just MAKE SURE you have the latest update of quicktime. You don't need to go pro, just make sure you have 7.1. I hope this works for everyone like it did for me...

Firefox update 10 won't open and the previous version 3.6 won't load any pages. I have done everything this site said to do. HELP?

The last version of Firefox that I had was the one before 3.6. I stopped upgrading due to it always messing up and not working right for me... whether it be due to vista, or just errors on your part. My husband decided to upgrade firefox to the newest one two days ago because the version I had was just "too slow!" Ever since he did that, I cannot get firefox to open. No matter how many times I uninstall it and delete everything mozilla on my computer then reinstall after restarting my computer, it just refuses to open. Every time i try it says that firefox has stopped working. It cant even check for solutions. I have tried installing it over and over again several times, same message shows up. So i had clicked on the link to go download the previous version of firefox... what sucks is that the only version on the site is 3.6.27. I have never upgraded to this. So the second i installed that version, i now am able to open up firefox... BUT it is unable to connect. I have internet... a pretty bad ass connection. So my internet is not the problem. I then looked up how to fix that issue and did all 5 things listed under the Firefox cant load pages but other browsers can link. Still nada! I am now stuck using IE and going insane. I am on the verge of throwing my laptop out of the damn window because I have to wait 3 hours for google to load. Nothing is working for me... and it would be appreciated for something more. If i can get help with a ton of details on what to do or how to fix this issue... either version... i would greatly appreciate it. I am going nuts having to put up with IE because my husband decided to update Firefox to a version that sucks with vista!

Ever since Firefox updated to v26, my webpages are very slow to load. Is there a fix?

I have Windows XP. In January 2014, Firefox updated to version 26. Now, every time I try to access a webisete, the wheel turns verly slowly or hesitates and it takes a long time for websites to open. I have no problems watching streaming video. I have had to resort to using Internet Explorer because of this Firefox problem. I have noticed others have been experiencing similar issues with Firefox V26. Will there be a fix for this problem soon?

Ever since Firefox updated, I cannot view slideshows on websites. If I click the "Next" button to see the next slide in an article, nothing happens. Why is this? How can it be fixed? I've cleaered cache, done everything.

When I try to view any article with a slideshow, the next button on the slideshow doesn't work. It doesn't matter which website, it doesn't happen in other browsers (ie Chrome), and it didn't happen prior to the recent Firefox update. I've cleared cache, checked all of the settings, and nothing's fixing this. How do I fix it?

Quicklook helper crashes my computer ever since I updated to 10.10.3

ever since I updated to 10.10.3, when i select a file in finder(while in column view) the Quicklook(or preview function to see what the file looks like) crashes my computer(panic shutdown) SI their a fix to this?

The combo updater includes all the past updates. If something wasn't quite right then the combo updater may fix it. Then sometimes it because the first update did not work properly. The second one fixes that. There are no other differences.

There is a difference between remembering the name and password in the Password Manager and a "remember me" check box on a web page to log you in automatically. 
The latter usually involves the creation of a special "remember me" cookie that is stored on your computer and that is send to the server. 
If that "remember me" cookie is removed or gets corrupted or is not send to the server then the server won't remember you anymore and you need to sign in once again.

So make sure that you keep the cookies from those sites via an allow exception and that you do not clear the cookies or site preferences via "Clear Recent History".

My steam won't launch ever since I updated to Yosemite I don't know what is going on.

I also would remove uTorrent. You can get adware/malware and other junk from a Torrent download.

Hook it up to your computer and open itunes. try to download hte apps via your computer. Every time you update hte software you have to reagree to the itunes terms of service. Sometimes it's hard to get it to come up on the device, but is easier on a computer.

Ever since Firefox updated, it won't open any of my EPUB files anymore. What is wrong?
