Try a reset:
1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)
2. For about 10 seconds
3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)

I have an ipad mini that keeps shutting down ever since I upgraded to ios 7.1.2.
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

Whenever I FaceTime, the pictures are displayed 90 degrees off. Sometime I can turn the iPad and set the rotation lock and the picture will then be ok.
But last night while the picture of the person I was calling was o.k. The picture of me was upside down for the call.
What am I doing wrong? This did not happen before I upgraded iOS.I have no brilliant solution for you because I suffer the same thing - but running Lion 10.7.5 on my MacBook Pro with iTunes 11. Every time that iTunes is updated, syncing becomes more unpredictable for me and I hold my breath hoping that it will work.
I do the same thing that you do - restart everything and that will ultimately get it all to work again. I will be following this discussion to see if anyone else has any great ideas for us both. -
After my upgrade to iOS 5, all downloaded ebooks disappeared from my IPad. All the music in the IPod are also lost. I cannot turn on location services. What can I do to restore these items? Amechy
Upgrading either an iPad, iPod, or iPhone to iOS 5 deletes all content on the device to upgrade. You will need to restore the iPad from a backup in iTunes to restore your content and settings. Connect your iPad to iTunes, and right click the iPad when it appears left bar in iTunes. There is an option there to restore from a backup. Select a backup and all your content and settings should be moved back to the device.

In addition, in the middle of typing something like my question, it acts as though I have reached a max number of keystrokes and sent me to this page. My question is this: how do I stop the currently frozen in-app purchase?
Thank you for your response. I did try the reset previously but it was ineffective for my particular issues. It does seem like time heals some of the problems but when shopping in-app time sensitive purchases (like Today Only deals) I get the freeze. I will try your suggestion with the Sleep & Hold buttons as soon as the problem arises again. Many thanks. Mary

I had this problem on previous versions of FF and thought the upgrade would help, but it didn't.

Did you ever get your iPhone to register with iTunes? I just upgraded as well to Snow Leopard, and my my isn't recognized at all also.
If you did get this resolved, I would appreciate a little suggestion in the right direction.

Downgrading to an older iOS version is not supported on iOS devices.
Make sure that you have downloaded all of the updates for your apps and see if that helps.
Try this as well. if the Apple apps are working OK and it is the third party App Store apps that are crashing - try downloading another app - any free app. See if that helps.
You said that you reset the iPad but you may have to restore your iPad to factory settings and then to a backup if you can't resolve the problem. -
Since I upgraded my ipad mini to ios7 my battery life has diminished significantly
I've noticed that ever since I upgraded my ipad mini to ios7, the battery runs down much more quickly. I close out of apps when I'm not using them, turned off location services, and took a number of other recommended steps, but it still seems a lot worse than it was on the old OS. Any suggestions? Is there any way to get back to the old OS?
Rolling back is not supported by Apple.
Have you look into background app refresh, background app update and notifications? Turning those off may help. -

Which kind of account you are using?
If you are using a business account (for example [email protected]) you must set POP account info properly, filling all the blank fields (name, email address, description, password, Host Name, user's name, SMTP). Just one field blanked causes error in sending/receiving.
If you are using a default account (iCloud, Yahoo!, Hotmail...), fill all the blanck fields (Name, Email account, Password, Description) and sign in.
If not works, delete the account and sign in again

ever since I upgraded to ios 7, my battery life is very short. I do not use the ipad all that much and have to charge it twice as much as before. I have been on the phone to Apple 3 times and turned off a number of things that I am not using and now power it off more regularly but still not happy with battery life. It is less than a year old and as I said, I don' t use it all that much
My best bet would be to restore the phone. Back it up to itunes, and then reset it Factory settings. This way, any corrupt software will be removed, and you can start fresh. Make sure you back it up first. By the sounds of it, you are using the phone for business and probably need the data from it. Hope this helps!

Thank you, James, but I do have a WiFi connection on the iPad mini. The Numbers files update on my iPad third generation and iPhone just fine when connected to the same network.

Help. Ever since my upgrade to ios5, any and all apps simply close by themself. I have tried to shut down all the apps which are not in use and I have also reset the iPad a few times (reboot) and yet there is no real effect. Is there a way to go back to the older ios so that I can have peace of mind. It is a crying shame to see all such hassles with ios5.
