Thank you, James, but I do have a WiFi connection on the iPad mini. The Numbers files update on my iPad third generation and iPhone just fine when connected to the same network.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Mozilla does not remember ldap password, even though I check the "remember" checkbox.

Every time I enter an email address, Mozilla pops up the "LDAP Server Password Required". I enter the password and check the "Use password manager to remember this password". Then the message pops up again. I enter the info again. Then it accesses the LDAP server. But next time I type in an email address, it hasn't remembered the password.

It could be the password files are corrupted and not accepting changes, so I would delete (or move to a safe location) these files from the profile folder: keys.db, signons.sqlite, signons#.txt. Select Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Show Folder to open the profile folder, exit TB, and delete or move the files.
You can record any stored passwords before doing this by opening Tools(or AppMenu/Options)/Options/Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords, as deleting the password files from the profile will erase all stored passwords.

Ever since my upgrade to IOS 5, my ipad 1 has been causing a lot of problems. The apps shut down by itself and I even have tried to reset the iPad but no real effect.

Help. Ever since my upgrade to ios5, any and all apps simply close by themself. I have tried to shut down all the apps which are not in use and I have also reset the iPad a few times (reboot) and yet there is no real effect. Is there a way to go back to the older ios so that I can have peace of mind. It is a crying shame to see all such hassles with ios5.

Downgrading to an older iOS version is not supported on iOS devices.
Make sure that you have downloaded all of the updates for your apps and see if that helps.
Try this as well. if the Apple apps are working OK and it is the third party App Store apps that are crashing - try downloading another app - any free app. See if that helps.
You said that you reset the iPad but you may have to restore your iPad to factory settings and then to a backup if you can't resolve the problem.

I am getting error message saying iPhone 4 does not have enough memory to hold 270 iPhoto pictures that I want to import. I have this issue with my iPad 2 as well.

We need some numbers. Connect the phone to your computer with a USB cable. Click on its name in iTunes.
Look at the bottom of the iTunes screen; there will be a graph of the memory usage of the phone. At the right end it will tell you how much free memory you have.
Now go to iPhoto. Select all of the images you want on the phone. iPhoto will tell you how much space is required.
Compare the 2 numbers, available vs total of the image sizes.

I have v10.8.2 os on my mac. i use an external drive for backup which is on whenever the mac is on. whenever the mac wakes up i get the reminder that the drive was not properly ejected. i did not have this issue with snow leopard?

since i have upgraded to mountain lion i get a popup whenever my system wakes up telling me that my external drive was not ejected properly. i did not have this issue with snowleopard. i leave my hard drive on and connected for use with time machine.

My best bet would be to restore the phone. Back it up to itunes, and then reset it Factory settings. This way, any corrupt software will be removed, and you can start fresh. Make sure you back it up first. By the sounds of it, you are using the phone for business and probably need the data from it. Hope this helps!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
If no fix, Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

tonefox is probably right. Server overload. I also notice that when siri does respond correctly, it is slower. My wife has a 4s and same story, and she has not upgraded to IOS 7.

I can help you only with the placement of the icon placement -- if you right-mouse click on the toolbar, then select Customize Toolbar, you can move an icon to where you want it to be.

my boyfriend restored his iphone as a brand new phone and still had this problem, he deleted all his text conversations except mine and his best friend's conversations still nothing, i told him to delete OUR conversation since its a 2 year conversation that he has NEVER deleted ..... he said YES!! we tried to delete it and the phone freezes as soon as we click on the CLEAR CONVERSATION button!!!! we tried about 5 times and this happened everytime we tried!!!! ....is like the phone doesnt wanna let go of our conversation!!! every other conversation he deleted the phone was fine except for when we try and delete ours!!

I have a group of my images that rotate, and yes it happens oneach. I do believethat I have at one time had the images cover the entire screen, however I cannor remember how I made that happen, just like the desktop. I am sure it is old'ites setting in!

"CCleaner" is a scam and it may well have corrupted the operating the system. Get rid of it according to the developer's instructions, then see below.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon, usually with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
