Ever since last night my macbook pro 13 inch has been doing weird and not so wonderful things. It will only power up with the power pack attached as soon as the battery pack is removed my lappy goes dead. The charge icon shows when its connected. Also if the lid is shut while it is still operating and not been shut down it completely shuts down, whether or not it has been shut down properly it takes 4-5 attempts of opening and closing the lid to get it to start up. It only seems to restart with the lid closed and only reason I know it has is because the apple icon lights up. When I finally get it started up the clock has reset itself back to 2008, requests for internet access pops up, outlook is not allowing me to delete emails, etc. Help!!!

yea man you need to take it to the Apple store ASAP. This is why I bought the Apple Care warranty when I bought my Macbook pro. At the Apple store they will trouble shot your problem and if it cant be fixed you may end up with a new lappy toppy good luck my friend, hope everything goes good, and your partner isn't to badly damaged

I work for a business where were using multiple iphones and since we all did our software update to the IOS 7 our phones have all been playing up - freezing when clicking on apps, when you answer a call the new keypads very touchy and hangs up all the time, dials number on its own, the sound randomly stops working, and sound in general is very sketchy. There are various issues that Apple is continue to work on. You are running the 7.02 release, so you have been updated twice since the intiital release. 7.03 was just released earlier today, and several fixes have been added to that release.
Hang in there. It appears that Apple is diligently working on addressing the various issues that have been reported. Remember, this is a major iOS change. It is the first major change to the iOS platform since it was originally released with the iPhone 1, so it's going to go through some growing pains....

Ever since I updated my Macbook Pro, the shortcuts on the F1-F12 keys no longer work. I used to press just the F12 key and I would be able to raise the volume, now it switches to the home page. I want the old shortcuts back and I don't know how to do that. Please help.

Suggest you try a NVRAM / PRAM reset, as described by Apple:
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys. -
Ever since I received my Macbook Pro in July 2011 I've had issues with my wireless connection at home. After software updates, Apple support suggested I reboot my router which works. But now I have to do it every other day. ???? AT&T my DSL carrier suggests I get a new router. Apparently the one I have is really old and doesn't support my Macbook Pro. Does this sound right?
If your using WEP encryption yes, Apple has discontinued that becaues it's worthless. WEP (and WPA) is cracked so encryption makes no sense.
Get a new Wireless N router, set it up with WPA2 (AES) Personal and two different 20+ randon letter/numbersymbol character passwords
One for Admin access only of the router, keep this on paper off all comptuers in a safe someplace.
One for entering into devices, computers etc for Internet Access Only.
You need the long and random password to defeat brute force attacks by GPU software that the hackers have now.
Also if you give out the password to another, they can't hack the network with the guest access password.
Computers remember the internet password, so anyone with access to your machines or network will have the password.
Since you have another Admin only password, they can't hack in. got it?
You don't need "Invisible" or "MAC Address filtering" that's a waste of time as hackers can sniff a network and causes issues getting on the network.

When you get the e-mail that the MBP is ready to be picked up, you have options to enter in the rersponse if you or someone else will pick it up. You will have to fill in some required information that will identify that person to the store personnel.
I had my last MBP delivered to the local store, but I picked it up.

Go step by step and test.
1. Restart
2. Shut down the computer.
Clean the trackpad with moist not wet microfiber cloth.
System Preferences > Point & Click
Try turning off three finger dragging and then turning it on after testing.
3. Is there any Bluetooth device nearby with failing batteries? If so, replace the batteries.
4. Reset PRAM: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14222
5. Reset SMC. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Choose the method for:
"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
6. Close all windows and quit all applications.
Click the Spotlight -the magnifying glass icon- in the menu bar. Enter Disk utility in the box.
Select Disk Utility from the drop down. When the Disk utility window opens up,
select Macintosh HD, then First Aid.
Click Repair Disk Permissions button.
Ignore the time remaining estimate.
Last 1 minute may take longer. -

It looks like you have got an Early 2011 or newer MacBook Pro, so you can use 16 GB of RAM. You can buy more RAM at OWC or Crucial. Remember that you cannot upgrade RAM in MacBooks Pro with Retina display
In case you have got a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro, you can only install 8 GB of RAM -
Ever since updating to latest version of Firefox it has been painfully slow on my Mac running OS 10.5.8.
Websites just hang, and never get to where they are supposed to go. The status loop on tabs just spins and spins but never loads the site. Go to the same site on Safari and there in a second. Now it turns on, the fan runs, the Apple logo screen pops up, and then it shuts down immediately. Is this repairable, aside from the $1200 flat rate repair, or am I SOL? Any ideas where to start or troubleshoot? Any diagnoses?
It is better to spend money on a new MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.

my iPhone is about 6 months old now and I would say I don't use it that much. Yet for the last month or so the battery life has been going down and today after having charged it to 100% this morning, it was at 5% at 4 pm this aft. help!!
Ok Fellas, let me give you a clue: Games, particularly those that make heavy use of graphics and sound are notoriously power hungry. In fact, when I was in the Navy many years ago, the folks working on the NTDS (Navy Tactical Data System) computers used a version of Space Invaders to load test the AN/UYK-43 computers.
I have also noticed that all of my laptops (I have a brand new Toshiba dual core, an older Toshiba single core, plus 2 Dell dual core machines) have significantly shorter battery life when I play Company of Heroes than when I am just reading e-mail or surfing the 'Net. I have also noticed the same behavior when I play games on my 4th gen Touch and my iPhone 4.
The fact is, iOS 5 did make some major improvements as well as adding some nice functionality like iMessage, wireless synch, and such, but the down side is that depending on how you use the device battery life can be shorter that what you may have experienced with pervious versions of iOS. Its just the nature of the beast...

2006 Macbook Pro 17 inch duo 2 core backlight keyboard not working
I have a Macbook Pro 17 inch model MA611 L/A 2.33 duo 2 core. I recently had to change the hard drive and when I put everything back, the backlit keyboard is not coming on. I have reseted the SMC, downloaded labtick, and can see F9 and F10 light up and down setting on the keyboard.
It's not coming on. I double check to make sure that the keyboard ribbon is on securely. The keyboard is working as I am typing this post on it.
Nothing seems to be a problem other than the backlit keyboard not coming on. Is it possible that the LED light is broken even though everything on the keyboard works normally?
Am I missing something? Anyone have experience like this?
