Ever since you instructed me to reset my firefox to defaults, I have dropped from the server 6-12 times a day, why is this happening,
I had some problems, got a ticket issued, was told to reset all to defaults on firefox. I did that, now the last 2 days, I have had more than 12 times where firefox cannot connect with the server. It does work sometimes., but it seems to be getting worse. I am certain it is not the hardware in this case. It was not until I saw a search engine called Whitesmoke in the search field, that problems began. I went through all the recommended ways to remove and ultimately I was successful, I think, could the server problem be caused by this Whitesmoke search engine hijacker? Please provide a solution, I am sure I am not the only one experiencing this. My system has also slowed down to a snails pace since I reset to your defaults, what can be done about that?

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Unwanted dialog box when opening iPhoto.
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for a Folder called 'Import' or 'Importing'.
Drag it to the Desktop. Make no other changes. Start iPhoto. Does that help?
If it does then look inside that folder on your desktop. Does it contain anything you want? If not you can trash the folder. -

Hello, it's been 5 days now since my imessage has not working..and i have chatted to the costumer for two times. I took thier advice and instructions just to enable to send and receive on it but unfortunately until now its still NOT working. Is there anybody who could help me please?
Try this even if you have already. Just make sure to follow the steps specifically.
Go to settings > Facetime > send and recieve > tap on your apple id and sign out. If your not signed in then that will work as well.
Go to settings > Messages > sent and recieve > tap on your apple id and sign out.
Restart the iPad by doing the slide to power off setup. Just hold the power button on the top right till it turns off.
After the iPad has been restarted:
Go to settings > Facetime > and sign in
Go to settings > Messages > and sign in
Wait about 3 min then restart the iPad again. Same instructions as above.
When you restart you should be able to use messages again. If not then call support again and talk to someone higher than the first level support they have. -
ever since I turned on ITunes match, album art shows in coverview but not in other views on my iphone. Anyone else having this problem?

I bought my iPhone 5 almost an year ago and since the last 2 weeks my battery lasts about 2 hours or less, while before it lastre a whole day. Can anybody tell me why is this happening or how can i solve my problem, please? Thank you.
You can follow these steps to save battery.
1. Turn on Auto-Brightness - The iPhone has an ambient light sensor that adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the light around it (darker in dark places, brighter when there's more ambient light) to both save battery and make it easier to see. Turn Auto-Brightness on and you’ll save battery because your screen will need to use less power in dark places.
Find it in the Settings app -> Brightness & Wallpaper -> Auto-Brightness On
2. Reduce Screen Brightness -the brighter the default setting for the screen, the more battery it requires. Keep the screen dimmer to conserve more of your battery.
Find it in Settings -> Brightness & Wallpaper
3. Stop Motion (iOS 7) -It's really cool, but it also drains battery. You may want to leave it on to enjoy the effect, but if not, turn it off this way:
Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion -> move slider to green/on
4. Turn Bluetooth Off- Turn off Bluetooth except when you’re using it to squeeze more juice from your battery.
Find it in Settings -> Bluetooth -> Move Slider to Off
5. Turn Off Location Services -
This allows your phone to know where you are and give you exact driving directions, give that information to apps that help you find restaurants, and more. But, like any service that sends data over a network, it needs battery power to work. If you’re not using Location Services, and don’t plan to right away, turn them off and save some power.
Find it in Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> Slide to Off
6. Don't Automatically Update Apps (iOS 7)-
If you've got iOS 7, you can forget needing to update your apps by hand. There's now a feature that automatically updates them for you when new versions are released. Convenient, but also a drain on your battery. To only update apps when you want to, and thus manage your battery better:
Settings -> iTunes & App Store -> Updates -> move slider to off/white
7. Auto-Lock Sooner -
You can set your iPhone to automatically go to sleep – a feature known as Auto-Lock - after a certain amount of time. The sooner it sleeps, the less power is used to run the screen or other services. Try setting Auto-Lock to 1 or 2 minutes.
Find it in Settings -> General -> Auto-Lock -> Tap your Preference
Few more things that would consume battery even when not is use are the applications that run in background.
Follow the below steps to quit all running applications.
1) Double tap on the home button on the iPhone ( this will display all apps that are running in the back ground).
2) Just click on the tiny red X to quit application ( if iPhone is running on iOS 6 and below) else just swipe yhour finger over the running app upwards to quit ( if running on iOS7). -
I am trying to authorise a new computer. Apple's instructions are to select "Authorise this computer" from the itunes store menu. I can't find this in any menu. Can you please help? How do I authorise my computer?

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us. -
why does fcpx suddenly stops reading audio files? ever since i upgraded to Yosemite. Than when I check it on my hard drive it doesn't work as well. Only this file. Am in a trouble of delivering now. Any help?
Could be systems logs or some other system file growing.
Use OmniDiskSweeper or DaisyDisk to map what's being used.

Since first using Thunderbird it worked ok but following recent upgrades/fixes it now downloads some e mails from the server twice within a few minutes. I have it set to check for new mail every 10 mins. I generally leave my e mails on the server but I deleted all mail from the server to try to fix this thinking it could be server side but the problem continues!

Live consider 15 minutes the minimum period to check mail . More frequent attempts are access denied and repeated attempts results in a request for your password as Thunderbird decides it obviously has it wrong.

I keep receiving Reset email password emails.
The most recent one was actually addressed to someone else... i.e. the name in the email not the email address. why is this happening?? I am not requesting to reset my icloud email password.That's probably because it's been sent out to a Bcc'd mailing list and that's the name on the main version. This is so that you don't see the other names.
If it doesn't come from something @apple.com then it's spam. Even if it appears to it's probably spam. If you want to change your password go directly to http://appleid.apple.com - do not follow any links in the email (even if they appear to lead to that address.) -

I would like to add:
you have incompatible software: start in SafeMode, read Woodmeister and see if it is free of issues.
Akamai is crap software needed or not, Huawei the same.
It is very possible that the keygenerator you used for generating a key for some softwares has infected your mac.
The non-regular software with the false key(s) are not compatible probably or generate malware. Luckily you can not update them automatically because the keygenerator blocked the software for contacting the developer... I propose to consider getting rid of those softwares by really good uninstalling.
You have a beautiful mac, don't degenerate it with crapped software. There are alternatives for expensive software, for example Adobe Photoshop has a free alternative (with a less beautiful interface) in GIMP. And so on.
