Dear Experts,
I am new to SAP BPC.
I have gained basic knowledge on BPC.
I have given a basic presentation on BPC in our company by presenting a demo application with consists of Application have dimensions, Security settings, data uploading, BPFs (Business Process Flows) and Reports & Input schedules & Currency Translation scripts.
Actually, Our Company leads said, u201DWe can also do these features like Reporting & Currency Translationu201D in MS-Excel then what is the use of BPC?u201D.
I did not able to answer this question.
Need a Complete picture on BPC. And what exactly the BPC tool is & how it is different from other tools.
Please explain me what is the Uniqueness & beauty of SAP BPC.
Really I need expertu2019s answers.

The use of BPC is to develop and maintain planning and consolidation platform for an organization to evaluate company performance. When compared with other products, It is a very good product to do planning and consolidation.It is very flexible, user friendly.
It is not just doing reporting and currency translation. You need to develop a platform. Excel is just an interface that BPC uses and currency translation is part of a task. Excel is more userfriendly tool, that way BPC uses all different functions for evaluation purposes. BPC is got ocean of tools and tsks that you can perform for the evaluations.
Using Windows MS Excel reporting and currency translation, that will not produce any data base platform neither any flexibility in evaluations.It is just produces a view of some data at some point of time and it is not a data warehouse as well.

I'm very confused about the flow of process.
right now i'm working on webmethods. I did worked on lots of message types like 850, 810,856,832,940,997 in X12 and also EDIFACT.......for that past 2 1/2 years.
This question is completely related to SEEBURGER ADAPTER NOT ANY CONVERSION AGENT:
1.
when an EDI message comes into XI it will be converted into EDI-XML format bye seeburger adapter. where we get the prototype of EDI message? Do we have a package or namespace in repository from seeburger which gives all EDI prototypes? or we import as an XSD doc from our local system generated by 3rd party tools?
2.
Do we write a mapping program(EDI-XML 2 IDOC-XML) with graphical tool or do we have a tool provided by seeburger to write mapping program? I heard that seeburger provides mapping programs(not those modules which converts standard EDI to XML EDI) which will convert EDI XML 2 IDOC-XML. is this is true?
3.
how do we process EDI file sent by customer? is it ISA level or ST level? because there may be many situations where one ISA has multiple ST's.
Please explain me if possible with one scenario......i read all the links provided about this question so i need a practical example.........

I have searched the video and tutorials for this question.

I did a search on this question and came up with a big, fat zero.
I have some graphics of blank buttons. I want to add a submenu to one of my pages. I looked up "How to Add Text to a Blank Button" on the site where I got the button. Unfortunately, the only instructions I could find require me to write out some HTML coding. Now for my question. Is there a way to write code in Muse????????????????? Currently, I am preparing to re-download Dreamweaver CC. I hope I can set the button up there then save it and open the new product with Muse. If anyone has an easier suggestion, feel free to let me know. It could save me a lot of work. Thank you, in advance.

I can understand the frustration when you can't find information, but I wanted to point out that using a generic subject such as this will reduce the likelyhood that you'll get a response as other customers will see it as vague and not follow up.
I think in this case what you would want to do is choose the Background Fill (click on "Fill" in the toolbar) item in muse and use this button image as the background for a text box or for a cell of a custom menu you have inserted. This way the text that makes up the text box/menu will float above the button.
If you want to go the HTML route, you can go to Object -> Insert HTML and insert HTML directly into your layout.

Currently only one person. A lot of users want to be able to FT multiple users.

Hi, I have a problem that is seriously killing me at the moment... The 'untrusted connection' comes up for me on EVERY https website! even writing this question

I get the 'Untrusted Connection' on every single website that uses https.... EVERY ONE! I even had to add an exception to here, once I add the conception, it turns off all styles of the page.... so that counts out being able to use things such as gmail or facebook.
I am tired of having to use Chrome as it crashes every other page, adobe flash seems to have stopped working on IE9, and I would rather not use the internet if I have to browse on safari.
What can I do, I have found an extension that says it will work but it wont on my version (the most recent) of firefox... I have tried checking my SYSDATE.. but it is exactly correct!

Can You do a Firmware or Bios upgrade on a Blackberry 9550 - See below for Reason for this Question

I have a Blackberry Storm2 9550 (Verizon) using a Consumer Cellar Sim card.
I am on vacation in Iowa and Phone Suddenly started to give a "Congestion" error with EVERY Incoming or Outgoing Call. I first assumed "Towers" were busy, but dismissed this as it happened for 2 Hours straight. Here in Cedar Rapids, Population of 140,00+ I am surrounded by 50+ towers.
Discovered that by Powering Down, Removing Battery, Booting up it would work Each and Every time, for a few minutes only, Then "Congestion" error AGAIN. I have taken phone to Verizon dealer and since I don't have Their Plan, They Immediately hand Phone back. I have called every Electronics dealer in this area with NO luck...I believe I NEED a Firmware Update or a Bios Flash, But No One local, can help Me. This Phone has worked FLAWLESSLY for 2 Yrs - I loved this Phone up until a few days ago.. Any Help GREATLY Appreciated... Thank You - > Dan <

I have checked these steps on CS3 and CS4:
first I've set ON to option in preferences to preserve links when placing
then I've placed DOC file as AnchoredTF in new Story
then I've copied this AnchoredTF and pasted it on page, and then I've pasted it as another AnchoredTF - each time there was new lick created to the same DOC file
then I've set OFF to option in preferences to preserve links when placing
and even when I again copied and pasted this AnchoredTF with placed DOC file - it still add new link on Links palette
so maybe with InCopy stories there is next bug or next "feature" ...

ok - I've checked InCopy file - after exporting TextFrame as InCopy Story
and it's like you've said - pasting on page - new link is created - pasting as Anchored - link isn't created ... no matter if option in preferences is set or not ...
verdict - we've found new bug
BUT ... if you link it again - by CTRL+D method - link is preserved even if option in preferences is set to off so you can have more than one InCopy Story placed as AnchoredTF in same parent Story ...

We have an application written in VB6 that utilizes ADO and Microsoft Jet and Replication, specifically Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.5 Library and Microsoft Jet and Replication Objects 2.5 Library. The application has been in daily use in hundreds
of government offices for 11 years. The database part of the application has been very stable until recently. We started noticing a problem in about October 2013. Sometimes when the user looks up some specific account, the application will return an error
that says "record has been deleted". If we run a JRO compact routine that we utilize in our backup process, the problem is fixed. It is my assumption that this JRO compact routine is the same process that is run in Access 2000 when I ckick Tools
> Database Utilities > Compact and Repair Database. The code that calls the JRO.CompactDatabase is listed below.

We are unable to duplicat the error except to the extent that if the problem exists in a mdb file we can, after we are told which account to access, see the error when we look up that account. We have not been able to find out how or when the error / problem
/ corruption is created in our application.
We expect that some routine or process that is run on an account, under certain conditions, encounters an error or creates a corruption and that this error, due to some error handling routine or lack of one, goes un-noticed at the time the corruption happens.
This error has occured maybe 50 times since October 2012. If the error occured prior to that time, it occured so seldom that we have no memory of it. The office in which this error occurs most often did install a new server with new server software the first
week of October. The problem has happened in maybe 5 offices in addition the the office mentioned. We do not think this problem is caused by any version updates to have made.
Any ideas as to what or why?

I'll have to move this off-topic because as Cor says, VB6 is dead and gone as far as support is concerned. There is a sticky thread at the top of these VB forums which also contains some links to VB6 resources.
That said, it sounds to me like you've reached the limit of the access database.
This error is COMMON with old access databases once they reach a certain size and age. You will have to continually perform the compact and repair when these errors occur and they will continue to occur periodically now that the database has reached
a certain size and level of activity. As records are deleted, the error will reappear.
The solution is to move onto SQL for the database since you have obviously exceeded what an access database was meant to handle.

language, tdname,object.

it is decided in the beginning itself as to on what basis the objects will be transported from Dev to QA and Prd,a lot of times the whole namespace is transported and some times they do it individually,it depends upon the standard followed by your client and also the transport mechanism.
you prepare/design your objects based upon this standard/mechanism,suppose at your client place you will be transporting the namespace on the whole,then you try to design the scenario so that all the objects are under one namespace so that when you transport them all the objects are transported.
it all depends upon client and mechanism followed

I'm really new to photoshop...so some might ask why I'm trying such a complicated project...I'm asking myself the same query.
I'm an underwater videographer and I'm trying to make my own web pages. This is what I want to do...create a web page that has a series of 25 boxes of equal pixel dimensions (144 x 108), within a grid space that's 720 x 540 pixels.
In the center box I want the text "ENTER". When the text is mouse clicked, I want the action to take me to page 2. Within each of the remaining 24 boxes, I want 24 of my video clips that range in time from 4-10 sec.playing on a loop. Each clip is an MPEG4 file and has 1440 x 1080 resolution.
Thus far I've created the grid space and the 25 boxes. Each box is in its own layer. The center box has the word "ENTER" and I have it sized, colored, shaded and hilighted to my satisfaction. The background behind the TEXT is grey, the background in each box is checkerboard. I'm using the "WEB" workspace.
My questions are
1) how do I make the text react to a mouse click,
2) how do I get my clips to show up in each box.
Can you just send me to the training lessons or help text that will begin to guide me thru my maze.

I am a long time user of Final Cut. Recently I worked on my first project using AVID and was very mystified. They said they capture at 15/1 ratio and it seems to be about 31 mbps. So if they were capturing at a 1/1 ratio, that just seems like a very large file for just one minute of footage. Am I crazy or doesn't Final Cut give you a better quality video for far less storage space?

Yes, that is an "offline" resolution. Like Offline RT is in FCP, or ProRes Proxy. Good only to see what you are cutting. You recapture at full resolution later. This is the very typical and standard Avid workflow that has worked well for decades.
So if they were capturing at a 1/1 ratio, that just seems like a very large file for just one minute of footage.
Yes....1:1 is comparable to Uncompressed 10 bit in FCP, which also produces very large media files. Avid also has a DV codec, for capturing DV material, and that is comparable to FCPs DV codec. Lossless, yet small, because they are native DV codecs.

You are crazy. As JIm said, there are many different flavors of codecs. Avid's 1:1 is comparable to FCP's Uncompressed 10-bit. Avid DV is FCP DV. Avid's DNxHD, the preferred codec of choice now, was revolutionary as it gave 1:1 quality at much smaller file sizes. FCP follows suit with ProRes...full uncompressed quality, smaller file size.
