Every email I have sent in the past two years just reappeared in my sent box and I can't delete them. Why?
Every email I have ever sent just showed up in my sent box. I can't delete them. What's up?

This is Strange.
Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup
Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist.

This is so frustrating! I plugged my Iphone 4S into my computer to update it via Itunes and now it says I have to restore to factory settings and will lose all of my contacts, photos, and applications I have downloaded. All I was really wanted to do was delete photos that uploaded from my home computer and took up all the space on my phone! GRRRR I hate this
If you are using the iphone as designed then you should lose very little or nothing.
You should be syncing contacts with your computer regularly, so all of your contacts should be on your computer and you can sync them back.
You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any attempt to update.
You should be transferring all purchases made on your iphone to your computer: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

4 or 5 browser windows open at the same time. Tabs are down in the control bar. every now and then they just combine into one pop up. can't undo and very annoying. Have to close all out and start over.
This can happen if you drag a tab slightly down in the browser window while clicking.
Firefox has a feature called tear-off tabs
You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.
You can also do this via the right-click context menu of a tab: Move to New Window
You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.

I created a book on iPhoto. I click on the buy button, and I get a message that says Connecting with a moving blue striped rectangle. I am connected to the internet and I have made books before without any problems. I have tried for the past two weeks at various times and I get this same message each time. Any ideas about what is going on?
First confirm that you can create a PDF file of your book as described in this Apple document: iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it. Post back with the results.

I have shared an apple id with my daughter over the past several years. She is in college now and our music tastes aren't quite the same. Is there a way that I can extract my music to a new user id without closing out my daughters?
You can't transfer music purchased from the iTunes store to another ID. You can, of course, create a new ID and start using that for purchasing your music. Just create the ID, then go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap the existing ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.
If your issue is that music purchased by her on her device is automatically downloading to yours, you can turn this off by going to Settings>iTunes & App Store, and turning Music off under Automatic Downloads. Then you can continue to share the same iTunes ID without continuing to automatically download each other's purchased music. -
ical (the calendar program) that came with this apple mac pc suddenly stopped working. When I pulled the icon from the desktop, it then disappeared from the computer.I have been using it from the desktop for the past two years, without trouble. It has uninstalled itself, without my intervention and has eradicated all traces of it, including all my entries from the computer memory. There is no program in the applications list. Can you say why this may have happened please?

Re: Notes App. I opened Notes, then opened a particular note. It opened briefly, and then suddenly several notes, from the past two weeks, just disappeared. Is this a known glitch, and is there any way to retrieve or restore these lost notes?
The other day i deleted my email accounts off of my ipod and only reloaded a few of them. today i looked at my notes to look at a project i had typed on my notes because i didnt have paper and pen around to write it and i didnt want to froget. I reloaded the rest of my emails in hope that everything would reappear but sadly only some of them from 2010 loaded. Recently i had update some of the files and they were like they were when i first created them there were alos ones that i had deleted long ago. There are other notes i had made that were really important to me to andi wouldn't be able to remember every single one. Help Please!

So, for the past two years I've shared an account with my sisters. This year I got my own laptop and I want to take my device off that iTunes, but still keep the music I bought. How do I do this?
You should be regularly importing your photos on your device to your computer. That is where all of your photos should be permanently stored. What is on your device is selected when you do a sync to iTunes. Once you select your device, you click on the Photos tab, and select which photos, albums or events you want specifically downloaded to your phone. If they have all been backed up to your computer, then you will be able to select whichever ones you want on your new device.
Contacts would be backed up as a part of the backup process to iTunes. Here is a support article with specific information about what is backed up:

The updated iPhoto program is cumbersome. I am trying to create a Christmas card and can't figure out how to get the fold of the card on the left and not on the top of the card. I had no trouble with this for the past two years. Can someone help?

There has been no signal in Springdale, UT for hours today. there is no way to contact Verizon (Calling or Web Chat). Service has been deteriorating for the past two years in the area. Worse fact is no one at the company seems to care. Right now the immediate issue is no service. I cannot do business this way.
You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

I have photos from my computer saved on my Iphone and I can't delete them from the app photos. How can I delete them?
You'll have to deselect the photos in the photo pane in iTunes on your computer and then sync the phone again, this will delete photos that have not been taken with the phone but synced from the computer.

Select the Inbox folder to see emails.
click on first email to get focus.
Hold down 'Ctrl' key and press 'A' key
This will highlight /select all emails.
they will appear as conversations in the Message Pane
Clickon Delete.
when it has finished - you do have a lot of emails :)
Right click on Inbox and select 'compact' - this removes all marked as deleted emails. -

I have an apple tv about two years old. Bought for a present and they never took it. I tried to hook it up cut it get stuck on setting time and date. Any help?
If you can view the main home screen, try selecting "settings" on the far right, then choose recent at the bottom. If not, try just unplugging power for a few minutes, then plug in and try again. Keep in mind you'll need a wireless connection and there may be several updates. Hope this helps-
