Every image is in a transform box

I have CS5 and when I drag a photo into an existing page it is in a transform box. On CS4 when I did the same thing that only happended when I selected the image to resize. I like to move my items around and resize as I go.   Is there a way to do this in CS5?

The problem I am having is that every single file I open looks like this.  Once I click transform (which I have to) the layer no longer allows me to click and edit the layer.  I like to re-size my images in relation to the multiple images I place on a document.  My previous version of photoshop did not create a transform box with each new file.  Does anyone know how can I adjust photoshop so that it doesn't do this. I am using CS5 on a PC.

  • Transform box comes up every time I draw a shape

    Hi All,
I must have hit some sort of shortcut buttom but I have no idea what. When I draw a rectangle the transform box automatically opens. Also the box has squares on the all corners and middle anchor points which is new.
Any ideas? It's getting very annoying. Almost as annoying as having illustrator cc and illustrator cc 2014 - x2 for the rest of the programs I use.
    Thanks

Sadly it's not live corners, I like that feature! It was a good addition.
It's the extra blue and white squares at all the anchor points that are new. The live corners are the circle within the shape.
I'll reboot as last alternative. Hopefully someone know's what I've accidentally turned on.
    Thanks though,

  • Safari Image turns to Tiny Blue Box with Question Mark

    Hi all,
I get tiny blue question mark a lot in Safari.
Many Website where i visit almost everyday, the images appear as "tiny blue box with question marks". My Firefox also fails to load the images and had the same problem with "tiny blue box with question marks". Before every site work fine. I have been searching through Google and many others search for almost 12 hrs for a solution to solve this problem but none of it really works out. Basically, I have tried everything, I just can't find and still not able to fix this issue in Safari and Firefox.
Is this a Safari 3.0.4/Firefox 2.0.0.9 problem, or is there some setting on my Mac wrong or is it a new virus recently?
If anyone has any solution to solve this problem, an very much appreciated...

Hi guys, I am also in Bangkok and working (I use the term loosely) with True. Like you, the images have not been loading over the weekend and I have been trying to track this down. I went through all the motions of restarting, clearing caches, etc., but that was no good.
On Saturday morning, I went into my office where I have access to another network (I don't usually use it as it is a bit flaky), but when I tried that, the images did load.
Back at home, I tried again and the blue squares reappeared. I checked some of my own web pages which also had the squares, but only selectively (images in the same directory were OK; those that were accessed via internal links were not). Using FTP I checked the website: images were all OK as were the links on the pages themselves.
As an experiment, I uploaded one image. When I tried the page again, the image appeared. I then uploaded both of the affected directories and the pages were back to normal after a couple of reloads. What this indicates to me is that the cache, either at True or upstream, has a problem.
I do think however that it is True as the other server I used would also access the CAT caches and they seemed OK.
A series of notes to the True helpdesk might jolt them into some action on Monday morning after they have had their starter coffee. I have had some success in the past with [email protected]
    All the best.

  • Grid on every image

Every image that opens in PS has the grid on, I'm having to hide it every time.
Unsure why this has started happening, hope somebody may know why?
    Alex

It's most likely due to a corrupt Preferences and will need to be reset.
    1. Mac - Holding down the Command, Option, Shift keys while starting up Photoshop will cause a dialog box to appear. You will be prompted to delete your Photoshop settings file.
    2. PC - Holding down the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys while starting up Photoshop will cause a dialog box to appear. You will be prompted to delete your Photoshop settings file.

  • Transform Box Numeric Entry Error - HELP!

I am using InDesign CS3 on a G5 Power PC Mac with 2.5 gB of SD RAM. The problem that I am getting is with the numeric entry into the "Transform" box in InDesign.
It will only happen on large or complex files that I am working on, I will have a particular measurement - 125 mm - and I will want to subtract 25 from this measurement.
I place my cursor at the end of the measurement and type "-25mm" but the entry just seems to disappear. I then click again in this box (it does not matter what box within the transform window it is) and re-enter the measurement quickly and press return and the same result - it still retains the original measurement of 125 mm.
This does not happen with every measurement that I enter - but I seem to find that if I leave the program idle for a short amount of time that this issue seems to resolve itself. However, it does keep happening and I am losing valuable time in modifying a document.
If anyone has any solution - could you please let me know. Look forward to reading some replies over the coming days.
    Regards, Shaun

    Try just "-25", skip units.

  • CS5: Type tool entering text in a tiny transform box

Everything else seems to be working correctly (at least those parts I use).
At some point, several months ago, my sister and I were playing with transform (by phone, we are in different states) -- she had taken a Photoshop class and wanted to try to duplicate something.
I tried using my type tool yesterday, and couldn't see anything when I typed. (White background, black text, Arial, 14 pt, 100%)
    I've tried clearing type presets.
I finally tried blowing it up to 500% and saw a small, gray font-like image where I was typing.
I held down Ctrl and played with the transform box: if I expanded the box, my text is there.
I've tried clicking on everything at the top when in transform, but have no idea what I'm doing.
I have no idea how to get my type tool entering text in the regular way.
    Please help.
    Thanks!

The resolution of the file I was working on was 2 (I obviously didn't add or deleted the '7' that was supposed to be in front of it)!
Thank you ever so much, CB! I spent a couple hours on this and really appreciate your help and insight.

  • How can I clear unwanted transformation boxes?

In the last 24 hours free transform boxes have become fixed - I can't apply transformations.
In addition, free transform boxes appear when they are not wanted.
Here is an example: if I make a simple rectangular selection then copy and paste it into a new layer, as soon as I click on the pasted area I get an unwanted transform box which I can't get rid of.   It disappears whilst I am in a different layer but reappears on returning to the problem layer.
Restarting makes no difference and the problem is present all the time with the simplest of images or just new plain shapes.
I have made no changes to PS and added no new plugins, just carried out normal PS work over this period.
To begin with I found once or twice that I could trick PS into applying the problem ransformation by clicking in the layer with the Text cursor but this trick soon failed.  Now if I select the text tool I get the query box: "Apply the transformation?"   Clicking "Apply" makes the transformation box disappear but it reappears again immediately the layer in question is clicked.
    I have CS5 12.1 x 64 , Windows 7 on a Dell XPS8300 with 8 GB of RAM
    Help please.

  • Photoshop v14.01.2 - PCx64 - Transform Box Inverted

    Hello adobers, and photoshopers.
    Here my question.
A PC running adobe photoshop CC (updated t v14.01.2 next friday) is challenging me with this little 'bug' :
After a first transformation, if I want to transform again an element (in this case, a logo in a dynamic object), the transform box is inverted : if I move the right down corner, the transformation apply to the Up left corner). doesn't know if it's something happening for other users, and a bug concerning this version of photoshop CC or if it's an updating problem only on my computer.
    thx for helping.
    Antoine

    Thank you for your answer.
It's a smart object, yes (tested with vector object or simply image object, and without being a smart object just a pixel element).
This bug happens when right cliking for a transform, or by choosing a transformation in the menu, and only if the object has already been transformed one time. it's a second transformation that makes the bug happening.
Holding a modifier key or not, doesn't make it happening more often or less.
by the way, working from a new file has made this bug disappear. the original file must have been corrupted, but i don't know how.
    thank you
    Antoine

  • Adobe Bridge (CS6) - bulk action - JPEG Options must be OKed for every image

    Hi all-
I created an action script for a watermark in Photoshop CS6. Then, I ran my script as a bulk action in Adobe Bridge (CS6) against my JPEGs. However, the JPEG Options dialog/window appears for every image in PS. Is there a way to have this automatically OK (and at the highest quality) so that I don't have to sit and click OK over and over?
I am on a Mac btw.
    Thanks!

  • The images imported to my stage turn up as blank and render every image previous to the rogue imported image as red squares that fill the perimeters of the image which then renders the publishing and scene testing features in flash useless, what can i do

I have been working on animating a scene in flash for a few weeks and recently I have encountered a problem with importing my images on to the stage where the images I import do not turn up, however the key frame that I attempted to import the image onto shows that it is occupied by an image and every frame previous to the key frame that just imported an image that does not show turns up as a red square that fills the original perimeters of the image, there is no solution to this problem any where on the forum and the adobe technical support staff will not help me find a solution to this problem what can I do to get Flash running normally again and fix this problem?????
Also after the first time i publish a preview after i begin using flash, flash renders the publishing and scene testing features as useless and claims that there is no HTML template found, or if the images if i import any images onto the stage that come up blank and render every image previous to that image as a red square and then try and publish a preview  flash renders the publishing and scene testing features as useless and claims that there is no HTML template found. What can I do to fix this problem??? there is no solution on the web anywhere to this problem either.

I don't know if Flash has a memory limit of its own. The memory for your Flash file is based on the available memory on your computer.
There is a limit on the number of frames that you can have in any given timeline. I think that it's about 15000 frames, but that's a guess. Flash does all of its work at runtime, this means that no part of your animation is pre-compiled like it is in a video file. So the more objects that you have on the stage, the more work Flash has to do. It follows that the more objects that there are to animate, the more work your processor and the video card have to do.

  • Add Image to a Conformation Dialog box button

    Hi All,
Ho to add Image to a Conformation Dialog box button?????
    2. How to put <b>X</b> (to cancel) at right upper corner of dialog box.
    null

    Hi ,
It would not be possible to add images in it. Use dialog boxes instead.
Create a view ... add an image UI element ..use imgSource as ~sapicons/image name or paste the image in src/mimes/components/ur comp name and give that for source.
You can create linktoaction.. and on its image property add an image for X and put that in one corner of the dialog box. and execute cancel action. when its clicked..

  • Image on top of text box issue

I'm attempting to create my own message window that will appear when a text box is full.  I have script in the "full" section of the text box that makes the presence of the image and a few text boxes visible when full.  In design view, I have placed the image on top of the text box.  However, during testing, when the text box is full, the image appears but the text from the text box below also appears on top of the image.  I have tried to setFocus to the image as well, but this didn't help.
What's odd is that if I navigate to a different page and then navigate back, the image appears correctly.
    Any ideas?  Thanks.

Thank you very much. I didn't even know how to look up the solution.
Now I understand what those buttons do and their usefulness.

  • SSRS: we have rectangle as object in tool box, Can we have image as tool in tool box (Please read)

    Hi Friends,
    Please help me in below,
we have 'rectangle' in a tool box, we have 'text box' in tool box.
likewise, Can i have Image in tool box(custom image), which works as text box. Means, I should be able to write 'custom text' on that image. and also can setup auto grow if text is big.
    Sorry for the poor explaination..
Please do the needful, Please ask for anything.
    Thanks in advance,
    Parixit

    Hi Parixit,
If I understand correctly, you want to use image as a container, then we can write something on the image. In this scenario, we can drag a rectangle in the design surface, add the image as the BackgroundImage of the rectangle. Then insert a textbox with
some custom text to the rectangle. After this, we had simulated the image container to achieve your requirement.
If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.

so much wrong with this post...
    a) use the code tags to format the code. Now it is an unreadable mess
    b) scriptlets in your JSP. I don't even want to look at that mess. Learn how to combine servlets and JSPs to create clean, readable and maintainable code in which view logic and business logic are separated. The rule: no java code in your JSP, only tags and EL expressions (learn about JSTL).
So you get a blank screen. When you do "view source" in your browser, do you see anything there? If nothing, check if you are behind a proxy server. The solution to a post of not too long ago was that the blank screen was being caused by faulty proxy server settings (the user figured it out himself, I don't know what was done to solve it).
If all this fails you will have to do some debugging magic using your favorite IDE. It will probably be something stupid you are overlooking in the code. It is annoying, but debugging code that does not work is a big part of your job. Better get good at it.
