Every incoming email is marked as junk

Every new email that my wife receives is marked as junk. However, it doesn't send it to her junk folder. Also, it will not allow you to click "not junk" although you can manually click on the junk icon and it get rid of it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

turn off the spam tool that is almost certainly installed by your anti virus program.

  • Mail Delivery Failure for every incoming email

    Hey,
I have been receiving mail delivery emails with every incoming email.  Is this a server side issue or is my email hacked?
    Thanks,
    Grant

I'm getting this too...... I was going to change my password ....So this is for sure a server problem.... So apple is looking into this?

  • I am getting doubles of every incoming email.  How do I stop this problem?

I am getting doubles of every incoming email.  Is this a virus?  How do I stop it?

Well, at this point, since you're using Snow Leopard and I'm using Mountain Lion, I should probably bow out. It does sound like a number of folks saw this kind of thing in Mail under Snow Leopard back in 2009, but I don't know whether that was a bug or just an accumulation of lots of different issues with the same symptoms all in one place. I would refer you here for possible solutions:

Pay particular attention to anything that Ernie Stamper says there, as he is extremely knowledgeable about issues with Mail.

  • All incoming emails being marked as 'read' on my Droid x

All incoming emails to my pop3 or imap accounts are being automatically marked as 'Read'.
    Any fix for this issue?
If I have outlook open, which is running exchange client  Outlook 2007, and my Droid is running imap or pop3, messages being delivered are being displayed as READ.
I have tried closing outlook, and then downloading emails to my droid without reading any of the 80 unread emails - then turning off my Droid....Followed by opening Outlook, but the messages show up in outlook as being READ.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you installed any apps that auto display the emails when they come in? If so the auto read feature may be triggering this, I had a app at one time that showed my emails in the preview window and it made the emails be listed as read... I would check your apps and make sure you are not using something like this unknowingly.

  • How do I get an audible alert for email from specific senders without getting the alert for every incoming email?

I Need to have emails from my family members to have an audible alert when I am traveling. It seems that every email coming in is doing this. I know there is a Do Not Disturb function but it does not seem to apply to emails.

You can't set a different notification sound for each family member but If you designate the people that you want notifications from as VIP, I think it might be possible to get notifications from family members only.
Launch mail and tap the blue  "I" in the VIP section. Tap "Add VIP" in order to add the family members to the VIP list that you want to include. Then tap "VIP Alert" to automatically go to the notifications area of the settings app. Set you preferences in there for the family members. Then go to Settings>Notitication Center and turn off the audible notifications for all other mail.
The setting states that whatever you set for VIP alerts will override the other mail alerts, so I am taking that to mean that what I am suggesting is possible to do.

  • How to eliminate all the technical data that shows on every incoming email?

How to stop the additional data that shows when opening emails under the "From, Subject, To" headings, and
How to eliminate/stop all the information that appears when an email is FORWADED under the heading"-------- Forwarded Message --------"?

Thanks Zenos,, Yes, that solves the first part of the question, How about the second part?

  • Why are messages being marked as junk when I have the addresses in my Contacts list?

Almost all incoming messages are marked as junk in two of my accounts. I have 3 other mail accounts without this problem and work normally.
I've added the address to my contacts list and turned off or deleted all junk filters and options. I've rebuilt the Global index and none of this has helped. A few messages have gone directly to my junk folders for these accounts but mostly they stay in the Inbox.
I'm sure its probably someplace in my profile but I don't know what it could be or how to find out.
    Thunderbird version 24.6.0
    Mac OSX 10.9.4
    Thanks.

All they seem to do is furnish the software you can download for Windows OS only. I'm using Mac. They may have something that filters their local email accounts but I've never set up the email account I have with them in Thunderbird. I'll check that account and see if there are any filters..
I have 3 different email accounts set up, two for 2 websites and gmail. One of the website accounts works just fine. The others have the problem.
    Thanks

  • Not being alerted when Incoming Emails comes in.

When I first purchased my 3G iPhone, I was notified of any incoming emails (vibrate and a tone). For the past two weeks, I have not been notified of incoming emails. I even went to the Genius Bar in Newport Beach, CA and waited 4 hours and no one was able to help me. The blamed it on my Yahoo account, which we know is not the case.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue...I need to be notified of every incoming email.
    Thanks

  • Incoming Email deleting!

Wow - this I have never seen before. 10.4.11 Server running email only, running perfectly for over a year, no recent changes. Suddenly one client (my own!) deletes every incoming email within seconds of its arrival.
At first I though it was something on the client machine, a rogue rule/filter - so I connected from another client (fresh install, no rules) with the same result. Same result also on my iPhone, deletes everything as it arrives!
I have made no recent changes to anything! How is this happening?! Help!

  • Sent messages marked as junk

Almost all my incoming messages are marked as junk- but so are the messages I send too. How is this possible?

    Hi Jeff,
What type of account are you using -- POP, IMAP or .mac?

  • Almost all incoming emails going to junk folder

I've been using Thunderbird for a few months now with very few glitches. However, suddenly, it is putting almost all my incoming emails into the junk folder. I believe my junk settings are appropriately set. I have attached a screen shot of them. What I am doing wrong?

Just to verify that its TB and not the server that moves the mail into junk, change destination of your junk to a local junk-folder.
Then also disable adaptive junk mail control temporarily. To see if this is causing it.

  • Internal email marked as Junk - Exchange 2013

    Hello,
As per the title, I have an issue whereby internal email from a reporting server is being classed as Junk in Outlook 2010 and 2013 for all recipients.
-The Junk-email filtering level for all users in Outlook is set to "Low" and is applied via group policy.
-I have anti-spam agents installed on all Exchange mailbox servers, but the "InternalMailEnabled" parameter is set to "false" for all agents.
-The receive connector used to receive internal email has the "Externally secured" flag set, which allows spam-filtering to be bypassed.
-The "InternalSMTPServers" parameter of the transport config contains the IP of the sending server.
    - The email address has been added to several users "Safe Senders" list in Outlook.
-I have a transport rule set up to bypass spam filtering for the sending address of the [email protected], yet the email header on any of these messages does not contain the "SCL -1" stamp as per the below:
    #↓    Header    Value
    1    MIME-Version    1.0

Can anyone assist in explaining why these emails are being continually marked as Junk in Outlook, and any further troubleshooting steps.

  • How to mark email messages as Not Junk?

When I look in the Junk email folder in Mac Mail, I see messages that I did not mark as junk mail.  I guess Mac Mail is somehow filtering and classifying the messages as junk.  Within the Junk folder, however, there are messages that are not junk.  How to I mark these items (and future messages from the same source) as not junk, so that they appear in my Inbox and not in my Junk folder?
What I Think I Am Supposed To Do
    1. Open a message in the Junk folder that I do not want to be classifled as junk.
    2. By default, a "thumbs down" icon appears in the toolbar (View > Show Toolbar).  I click on thumbs down to mark the message as junk. The thumbs down icon changes to a "thumps up" icon.
    3. I click on the thumbs up icon to mark the item as not junk
Is this the right thing to do?  When I do the above steps, the message remains in the Junk folder - it does not move my Inbox folder.  But will future messages from the same source go into my Inbox?
    Thanks

In case other are having this problem: With Outlook.com email, I found that mark email items as Not Junk within Mac Mail had not effect.  Subsequent emails from the same sender still went into the Junk folder.
I had to sign on to my Outlook.com email at www.outlook.com website and mark the emails there as Not Junk.  Subsequent emails from the same sender than arrived in my Mac Mail Inbox, as desired.

What Reverse DNS Lookup does is attempt to validate that the piece of mail came from an IP that belongs to the domain in the EHLO/HELO command - http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/233c0fde-7315-479a-a7fb-2e9d00ff73fd.mspx?mfr=true
So it doesn't directly filter spam (certainly possible to get spam from GMail/Hotmail servers that Reverse DNS Lookup will see as 'valid').
