hi everyone, we are the owners of the late 2013 retina macbook pro, with this keyboard and trackpad issue.
please help us by looking at your console for this log report:

we are really curious whether it is only happening on our 13" rMBP or is it happening on everyone's mac with mavericks.
especially we would like to know whether this report is also on 2013's mac. MacBook Pro Retina 15" late 2013 Haswell, iMac Haswell, MacBook Air Haswell.

This happens everytime I touch the keyboard or trackpad. I believe this should not be a normal ocurrence performing such a NORMAL and Essential task as using the imbedded peripherals to operate a machine.
I contacted Apple Support and spoke with a Senior Advisor for troubleshooting. I was instructed to send capture data to apple showing the console errors in their entirety.
From my impressions speaking with Apple today, this is not a normal error and a exchange might be offered, but I'm afraid that will not remedy the issue. This being a chronic and widespread issue with OSX Mavericks and late rMBP Haswell models.

Your session has timed out, try again later

I'm trying to download new apps with the iPhone 5 (restored after backing up the previous iPhone 4) and I'm unable to download anything new. It wants me to confirm the payment info, after entering it, it then states that " your session has timed out, please try again later." I've closed out the App Store, restarted the phone and such with no luck. I am able to "update" existing apps, so the account works, but why can't I download new ones?

IMac user accounts - do you have to log off to switch accounts

Is it necessary to log off from one user account to switch to another on an iMac. I would like to be able to suspend activity in one account and switch to another without having to shut down everything currently in progress on the first (i.e. switch user). Is this possible ?

You have to enable Fast User Switching:
System Preferences -> Accounts -> Login Options -> "Show fast user switching menu as ..."
After that you have an Icon in the menu bar and switch between the users without logout the first one.

Mavericks user interface hangs - any known solutions?

I have a 27" late 2012 iMac with an up-to-date copy of Mavericks (10.9.4.)
Occasionally (as in every couple of weeks) the user interface hangs completely.
The mouse cursor moves, but clicks do not have an effect, and the keyboard is ignored.
Applications continue to update the screen. Today, for example, I was running Windows RDC 8 through a VPN to a customer server. After the hang started, I could see the progress updates on an SQL server restore as it continued to run. Activity Monitor was updating in the background too.
Connecting from my (17" MacBook Pro) laptop (: I love that machine!) using Screen Sharing worked but I could not update.
I took the dog for a walk for an hour or so, and when I returned there was a login screen on the iMac. To my great delight, I typed in my password and logged back in. To my greater disappointment, the UI was still hung and my only recourse was to crash it by holding in the power button until it stopped, then reboot.
The machine has 24GB of RAM and 1.92TB of free disk space. I doubt it is running out of resources. It has no additional displays connected.
The only weirdness is Teleport - which allows me to share the iMac keyboard with the laptop. It is entirely possible Teleport is the culprit, but I am hoping it is not.

These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
          SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
          View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Note the timestamps of the BOOT_TIME log messages, which refer to the times when the system was started. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Select the messages logged before the boot, during the time something abnormal was happening. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
For example, if the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down for three minutes before you forced a restart, post the messages timestamped within three minutes before the boot time, not after. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract—not at the beginning.
If there are long runs of repeated messages, please post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
Step 2
In the Console window, select
          DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
          View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A crash report has a name that begins with the name of the crashed process and ends in ".crash". A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". A shutdown stall report has a name that ends in ".shutdownstall". Select the most recent of each, if any. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot. It's possible that none of these reports exists.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash or panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

How do i increase my key ID +1 for every new user

what iam trying to do is that for every new user that register on my app will get a key id.. that is +1 higher then the old highest id.. i have done this i JavaDB but in mysql i get an exception

You need an 'Identity' column. In MySQL, you need to enable autoincrement and don't insert a value in the column while adding records; MySQL will auto increment the value.

Same error message... I can send to every mail server around the world except for gmail I get the following error:

The error means the network is unreachable. We need more information to analyze the reason.
Please use nslookup command line tool to check if DNS MX record of gmail is correct.
Please use telnet command line tool to check if you get same error.

Handling User Exceptions in DialogBox

Hi all....
I have the following Dialogbox which asks the user for 2 integers and then adds these to the TextArea with some predefined text.
What I wanted was if the user inputs anything illegal such as text, inplace of 2 integers, how I could detect this and warn the user?

Thanks for the advice. You are correct of course; handling every possible exception is the ideal, one which we should all aspire to...
In the meantime though, I'd like to have a sort of safety net to catch all those "unexpected" exceptions. In my searches I have just now found these links which look very promising as a potential solution/work-around for this issue:

We have a set of interactive PDF forms that our users access via the web. We have to use the PDF forms online because they are configured to pre-fill basic information that is acquired from our database/information system, which our users can only access via a web-based interface (i.e. no client). Furthermore, when we save/submit any of these forms, the resulting FDF needs to also be tied to whatever record the user is working on (again, via the web-based interface).
It appears that the Adobe plugin for Macintosh only works for Safari, and 90% of our users are on Macs... so for the last few years we have recommended Safari as the only browser that will work for any Mac user one who uses these forms.
However the Adobe plugin doesn't appear to be working very well with the latest update of Safari (7.1). We can open the forms online, and all the pre-filled data is present, and initially we are able to interact with our form and we can even save/submit. However at some point we simply lose the ability to interact with any of the fields (i.e. after a few minutes of initial use, or if we attempt to edit after re-opening a saved form). Strangely enough - we can still cut and copy text, and the save button still works - but that is about it... no typing or clicking radio buttons etc..
And as Mac users are probably aware, the Safari 7.1 upgrade is tied to the Mavericks OS upgrade - and you can't really just go back to an older version!
Questions:
1) Can Adobe be made to work on a Mac with any browser other than Safari?
2) Are there any other Mac users who use interactive PDF's in Safari 7.1? And if so, are you having (or did you have) any issues and how did you fix them?

If I understand you correctly, you want to limit to limit your use of the Messages application to non-iCloud sources such as text messaging through your phone carrier, is that right?
You can turn off the use of iMessages in Settings > Messages > iMessage. See this help article -

Yes, you can do something like that. What you would do is create a button for each image and then hide them. When I do this type of thing I place all of the buttons on a template page and then hide the template.
You can then use JavaScript to copy the icon from any of the hidden buttons to the main button that you've set up to display the image. For example, suppose you set up 10 buttons named b1, b2, b3, ...b10. The code to copy the icon from one of them to the button used to display the image (b0) would be something like this:

// Get reference to the b0 button
var f = getField("b0");
// Set the icon of the b0 button to the icon retrieved from the hidden button
