Every morning all devices fail to connect

Every morning all the devices on our home network are unable to connect to the router (all wireless). The diagnostic lights are all correct, broadband, wireless and service all green. Cycling the power of the router fixes the problem.

I apologize about the issues you are having with your connection, but I will be glad to help. With the devices not connecting, does restarting those devices help with the connection or is it only repairable by restarting the gateway? What errors are you getting on your device? Does a hardwired connection still work?

Device failed to connect when trying to sync contacts

When I try to sync my contacts with outlook all of a sudden I get a message that says "the device failed to connect". I did upgrade to 4.7 DM recently. I am not sure if this might have had anything to with it. I have now tried to uninstall that upgrade and go back to a previous version of DM. Any ideas on what might cause my BB to not be recognized by my system anymore?

I just resolved the problem by pulling the batteries and then plugging the BB into my computer. This reset something and now it works. Weird. Thanks for your reply.

Are you using a software to see all devices that are supposed to be connected to your router? You can reset and start over with your router. Make sure you have a security enabled on it like WPA Personal. You can try DHCP Reservation as well to ensure that the devices that will have access to your router are only the ones you included on the list.

Device failed to connect

I've had my ipad for a year now, periodically I have troubles syncing my device. I followed apple's recommendations and have reinstalled itunes several times with no luck. During this re-install, when I plug my Ipad into my PC, I get the device failed to connect and it doesn't appear in "my computer" listings. Any idea how to rectify this?

Have you tried a different USB port? They're sometimes a bit iffy. One that's direct to the motherboard (i.e not through a hub) is better. On a desktop PC, they're usually around the back.
If that doesn't fix it, try a different PC, if there's one available.

Every morning all sounds on my iPhone 5 are gone/muted

I have noticed that every morning, sometime between 5AM and 7AM, I lose all sounds - ring tone, alerts, even the clickety-clack of the keypad. The sounds are restored only if I power cycle my phone. If someone out there has similar issues and know how to fix it I'd love to hear your input. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Actually, that was one of the first things I checked ever since this issue started. I've never used Do Not Disturb and I did check that it was deactivated.

I Wanna See All Devices That Are Connected To My Router

I have a E1200 router and it's pretty good however I've noticed that there are 12 devices connected to my router when infact there should only be 4 devices connected. I would like to see all the devices that are connected and disconnect the ones that don't belong HELP!

Itunes 10.6.1.7 windows-restoring all devices fails! help!!

i updated itunes to the latest(10.6.1.7), and wanted to restore my (unjailbroken, btw) iphone 4S on 5.1, to 5.1, but failed, giving me error 3194.
i then tried restoring my (also not jailbroken) iphone 4 on 5.1 but it gave me the same error!
im suspecting this is due to the itunes update, as before the update, restoring was always fine and fast with no errors at all.
i need to restore badly cos of the battery issues and according to many of my friends, restoring makes it much better...
anybody encountering the same problem? or can anybody help please?

Try updating the security software on your computer. If that doesn't do it, try to turn it off and test again.

Deskjet Ink Adv. 6525 Invisible to all devices even if connected to the same network

Okey, So a few days ago I got a new router (new Wifi network). When I connected my printer to it, none of my Apple or Android devices couldn't find my printer, even if they could before I got my new router. I called my new network the same way as my previouse one, and used the same password,but my devices still can't find it.They're all connected to the same network, and no errors are shown on the printer, or on the Wireless network test results. I tryed everything I could find from the FAQs on this site, but I still can't solve the problem.The printer prints and scans normally when it's connected to my computer. Please answer if you have any ideas how to solve my problem!

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that since changing your router your mobile devices can’t find your printer and you can only print from your computer with the cable connected.
Please run the Wireless Setup Wizard from the front panel of the printer. Even though you have used the same network name and password, the new router broadcasts different information that the old router. So please run the wireless setup wizard from the front panel of the printer. The instructions on how to do this can be found in your User Guide on page 31 in the section titled “To connect the product with the Wireless Setup Wizard”.
For your computer it sounds like the step to switch the connection from a USB connection to a wireless connection was accidentally missed during the setup. The instructions on how to make that switch can also be found in your User Guide on page 33in the section titled “Change from a USB connection to a wireless network”. Windows and Mac each have their own sub-section.
For your mobile devices please turn the wi-fi setting off on it. Please wait approximately 15 seconds to allow the device to truly disconnect from the network. Please turn the wi-fi setting back on and then choose your network. It’s possible that the devices still “thought” they were connected to your old network as the name didn’t change.

Facetime ringing on all devices but not connecting

FaceTime is ringing on all my devices but when I try to connect it says not available when it is. Doesn't work in either direction

I suppose it's iOS5.1.1's problem.
I have the same problem too my facetime on new iPad doesn't work either.
but my iPhone4 works. Could any apple technicians help us????

Devices fail to connect to iOS7 hotspot after sleep

I'm new to hotspotting and this may just be one of those annoying issues.
I set up an iPhone 5s (iOS7.0.2) as a wifi hotspot. I connect my laptop and ipad, everyone is happy. The laptop or iPad goes to sleep and when it awakes it can't find the iPhone hotspot. The hotspot is not even listed in the available network pulldown menu. Reset the iPhone and the devices discover the hotspot, everyone is happy agian until someone goes to sleep.
What am I doing wrong.. besides using a klugey apple product

It sounds like the wifi connection from your personal hoptspot is not being spotted when the connected devices go to sleep, then wake up later.
I want to recommend these troubleshooting steps from the article named:

Try disabling and reenabling Personal Hotspot from Settings > Personal Hotspot or Settings > General > Cellular > Personal Hotspot.
Install the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
If none of the previous steps resolves your issue, restore the iPhone.

Device Manager HP Printer ! Symbol, Windows "failed to connect" Sound- Yet Printer Works

Every startup, I hear the Windows "device failed to connect" sound. How can I get rid of this?
I have an HP J6480 Printer with WIn 7. Device Manager is not recognizing the printer driver.
Under Device Manager, the printer is listed with the ! error symbol. No other devices have an error symbol. Yet the HP Solution Center and printer work.
1) I have tried fresh installs of the current HP Full Feature Software.
2) I have tried the HP Uninstall program, going through all five Uninstall programs two times.
3) I have run CCleaner to clear registry issues.
4) I have tried deleting the Device Manager "Officejet ! J6400 series" entry. The Solution Center and the printer then do not work. Apparently, Device Manager recognizes the printer but not the driver. I have to go to "Programs", "HP", then "Officejet J6400 Series" to reinstall the software.
5) I have tried to get Device Manager to recognize the software. When I click on "! Officejet 6400 series", I get the message "the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28)". If I then click on "Update Driver" and select" Browse my computer for driver software" then click on "Browse "C:\Users\Myname\Downloads", where I have both the HP 13.0 Full Feature Sofware Software and the Basic Print and Scan Driver files, it says "Windows cannot find driver software". If i click on "Search automatically for driver software" I get the same message.
I would very much appreciate any ideas! Thank you!

Every morning Keyboard wont connect

Every morning my wireless keyboard doesnt connect to my iMac. It isnt the batteries, and I have done the PRAM and SMC resets. This is beyond frusterating as I can spent over 30 minutes a morning trying to get it to connect. Is there actually any REAL advice on what can fix this beside the resets I see mentioned everywhere, cause they didnt help at ALL.

I am starting to have the same problem too! I end up up shutting down the keyboard, then restart my iMac, wait for the iMac to figure out there's no keyboard, wait for the pairing code then I'm good for a day. Next morning, start all over again. Kinda odd that my magic trackpad doesn't have this problem.
Yes, a real solution to this problem would be very helpful.

Losing connection at same time every morning

Every morning this week, our BB connection drops out between 8.05 & 8.10. I don't how long it is off as I leave for work at 8.30, but it is not back by the time I leave.
Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. Does anything else come on at the same time as the connection drops i.e. heating pumps etc? Do any of the ligts change on the hub whe you lose connection? Give us as much information as possible and we'll be happy to help.

TCP services stop working every morning

I have a relatively complex problem that has brought me to the limit of
my limited knowledge.
History: I have a BM 3.5 server running on NW 5.0. I am patched. It has
been running for years. I have a linux cluster running qmail. All traffic
from the internal network passes through the cluster and then through BM
to get to the internet (dedicated connection). BM is running NAT (static
and dynamic), firewall and proxy services.
Monday things changed. Now everyday I arrive in the morning and mail is
mounting up on the cluster. If I unload ipflt on BM nothing changes. I
can't telnet to any 25 or 80 port from the mail server. All services stop
that use TCP. I have a squid server in test right now. This server has a
statitic NAT address. That machine (and others) can ping addresses using
DNS on the internet (with ipflt unloaded) but can not browse or send mail.
I am monitoring my internet router (it is outside the BM server) via MRTG
and snmp (UDP) from a machine on the internal network. This does not stop
working.
The proxy on BM continues working perfectly.
Routing has not presented any noticible problem.
Summary: Every morning all TCP services running behind BM stop working.
UDP and ICMP continues. I have unloaded NAT and reloaded to no avail. The
only solution seems to be the restarting of BM. Once I do that everything
starts up again.
How do I trouble shoot a TCP problem on BM? This is probably the oddest
thing I have seen. Quite frankly I'm not sure if it is BM (NAT). This
maybe a basic Netware problem.
Any thoughts would be extremely appreciated.

Yes. That's what it looks like.

Everyone browsing via BM proxy continues with no interuption.
The mail server can telnet to any other server on the internal LAN but
nothing past BM. DNS continues working for the mail server too.

Do you mean port scan the BM server?
I know that "nothing has changed" is a loaded statement. The only thing
(that I know of) that has changed relatively recently is the addition of
the Squid server. It has been running behind the BM server for about 3
weeks. Recently I added a filter exception allowing the Squid server to
access higher ports (dyn/tcp).
But, as I noted before, I think removing ipflt should eliminate any
doubts there. Is there some way Squid could be corrupting something there?
The problem was compounded this morning (saturday). I came in today so I
would have the network essentially to myself. But, to my surprise,
everything was ok.
Cat, You're right. This server is no spring chicken. It is an IBM
Netfinity 3000. Its probably 3 or 4 years old (maybe more). I will think
about this as a hardware problem but I just wish the thing would die
altogether and get it over with. :o)

Content of photostream not the same on all devices?

I have a iMac, iPad and an iPhone. All photos are added to iCloud with Photostream, but the content of the photostream on iCloud is not the same on all devices. I thought that the content would be synchronised. 487 photos on iPad, 529 Photos on iPhone and 596 Photos on iMac. Just now I have all devices turned on, connected to the same wifi, but no synchronising is taking place. How is this soposed to work?

This usually happens because, while you can keep 1000 photo stream photos on your devices regardless of age, they only remain in iCloud for 30 days. Photo stream photos older than 30 days are removed from the iCloud server so depending on when you enabled my photo stream, you devices would have a different number of photos. You can always add any missing photos to a shared stream on the device that has them in order to stream them to your other devices.
