Every music album is stored in folder "unknown" in...

Hello everybody,
I have the following problem with storing music in my Nokia E65. First I transfer music albums from my Windows Media Player 10.0 into the Nokia Music Manager. Everything is shown correctly in the Nokia Music Manager: Titles, Interpret, Albumname, Genre.
But when I transmit the music albums to my Nokia E65 every song is stored in the folder "unknown". For example I have transmitted the album "Viva la Vida" from Coldplay into Nokia Music Manager. Everything is shown correctly, the titles, the album name, the interpret. But when I transmit the album to my Nokia E65 there is no folder "Viva la Vida". Every title is stored in "unknown".
This wasn't so from beginning with my E65 a year ago.
I have the newest software on my Nokia E65 and also the Nokia PC Suite is the newest version.
Has anyone an explanation for this behaviour?
Thanks
Oliver

  • Why do I find a duplicate export of a Smart Album in my Pictures folder every time I create a MobileMe Gallery Album from that Smart Album?

Using the last version of Aperture 2, I have noticed that every time I publish a Smart Album to my MobileMe Gallery, I find a duplicate of the album in a folder  with the same name as the Smart Album in my Pictures folder.  Why does that happen?  Can I prevent that?  If I can't prevent it, can I just send the folder to the trash without it having an effect on the Smart Album in Aperture or the MobileMe Album in my Gallery?

Select the album, Select all photos in the album, then click on the info button.   Number of photos and total size are on  top of info pane.

  • Some music files missing in iTunes folder, yet work fine in iTunes

I am using current version of iTunes on OSX 10.7.5.
Let's use a song for example:  Piano Man - by Billy Joel on the Greatest Hits album
In iTunes, this song works fine and all songs are there.
If I go to finder>user>music>itunes>itunes music>Billy Joel>Greatest Hits> .....  and not all the songs are there, maybe just a couple.  We will say Piano Man is missing right now.
If I go to iTunes and click on Piano Man> Show in Finder....  it takes me to the mentioned folder and then suddenly some more songs appear including Piano Man.
I don't like this because my backup hard drive is not backing up all my music, some of it is missing.  What's going on?

    Found the issue:
At first glance my itunes music folder looks normal, but after some careful reading of the location data...it turns out all of my music is also stored in a subfolder "MUSIC" in with all the artist names.  I found this after discussing with a genius today while having my battery replaced.  Together we found the issue.
How?  iTunes at some point started making a MUSIC and MOVIES and maybe some other folders in the iTunes folder.  When I redid my library some time ago, it must have changed the directory and copied all my music to the user/music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Music folder.  This would also explain why I found that sometimes my library took up more data than I had expected.  iTunes would say 45 GB but the folder would say 90GB.

  • Want iTune's to pull my music library from Time Capsule Folder

Hi everyone. I am having a bit of a dilemma, I recently purchased a 1TB Time Capsule and want to move all of my music there. All of my music is currently stored in the default location.
This is what I have done.
    Copied all of my music to Time Capsule;
    Deleted all of my songs/albums from iTunes;
    In iTunes settings, pointed to Time Capsule share;
Close iTunes; then reopen & nothing appears.
How do I resolve this issue?
    Thanks.

When you said "Deleted all of my songs/albums from iTunes" what and how exactly did you delete from itunes? Do you still have your intact itunes folder in the default location on your computer? This would be the itunes folder which contains the itunes library file, the itunes library.xml file, and your itunes music folder (which contains all of your actual music).

  • I accidentally erased a music album that I purchased on iTunes. How can I get the iTunes store to recognize that it is no longer in my iTunes library and download it again?

I accidentally erased a music album that I purchased on iTunes. How can I get the iTunes store to recognize that it is no longer in my iTunes library and download it again?

Delete the broken links in iTunes then look at your purchased list to redownload.
If this happened because you were deleting files from the iTunes folder in Finder, don't.  You have to let iTunes do all the deleting and moving or you will end up with broken links.

  • How do I move iTunes music to a different location/folder on my computer?

I have on my computer a few different folders that contain all of the music/albums/tracks that are on my iPhone 3GS. I should have placed all the music in the iTunes/iTunes music folder at the time I added/synced them on to my iPhone, but I overlooked this.
I am wanting to move the music that is in the various folders that contain all of my music, into the iTunes/iTunes music folder.
But if I do this I will be told by iTunes that album blah blah blah cannot be found (or words to that affect).
I was wondering is there a quick, easy, and trouble free way of moving all of my music into the iTunes/iTunes music folder, without getting the album blah blah blah cannot be found (or words to that affect) prompt.
    Thanks in advance

    For iTunes 9:
Choose File > Library > Organize Library
    For iTunes 8:
Choose File > Library > Consolidate Library
    For iTunes 7 or earlier:
    Choose Advanced > Consolidate Library.
    A message will pop up.
    For iTunes 9:
Place a check next to "Consolidate files" and click OK.
    For iTunes 8 and earlier:
    Click Consolidate.
This action copies all of your music and other media files to the new location. There must be enough hard disk space available to copy all of your files.

  • How can I move all my music files in an specific folder to another

    Hi
I am a iTunes for Windows user and I adore that program. From the beginning I have made my Library putting manually all my new music files in "D:\Mis Documentos\Mi Musica" folder, and then from here I add it to my iTunes Library.
The problem I have now is that I want to change my folder destination for example to "D:\Mis Documentos\Mi Música\iTunes\iTunes Music\" but the only way that I now is moving all files to that new folder and then creating a new ibrary but in that way I will lose all my counters and other thongs in the old ITL file. Also I could consolidate the library changing the folder but I don't like the way of iTunes to put the files with folders with artist and album I prefer to have all the music files in the same folder with any folder inside.
If anyone can tell me how can I do this or if there is any script o plugin for Windows to administrate this kind of moving, please answer me.
    Thanks

Don't move files manually! That indeed causes iTunes to lose track. Use the command Advanced > Consolidate Library. Before you begin, read up on Consoidate in the Help file so you understand what it does.
When you are done consolidating, you can delete the extras if you wish.

  • I have Windows 7, 64 bit, and I am using iTunes 11.0.1.12. I have been all through the threads and internet..how do I delete songs from my iTunes and hard drive at the same time? I have my music in the correct iTunes folder. Nothing works.

    Windows 7 64 bit
    iTunes 11.0.1.12
I have my music in the correct iTunes folder
In iTunes, I select songs, click "delete", then "move to recycle bin", finally, empty my recycle bin that shows the file is there
File is still on my hard drive.
I just want to be able to delete files out of my library and off of my hard drive at the same time. I have tried everything I have read, and there really seems to be no real answer. Somebody please help!

i do, but like i said it fell once and since then it hasn't been able to connect to my laptop. it acts like nothing's connected. i believe if i call the company the HDD is from they'll be able to transfer it to a new one but who knows how much they'd charge. looks like i have no choice now.
If it were truly a backup, then the media would play on the laptop as it would be on the laptop.
Sounds like you actually do not have a backup, instead you chose to keep your media on an external drive.
Regardless of where the media is stored, it's always a good idea to have a backup for instances like this.

  • Copying a CD to the Music\Albums\ section of the ipod and include a picture

Hi all, This could be great if it works. I own a PC. Was wondering, how do I import a cd in iTunes and place it onto the iPod in the "Music", "Albums" folder? I seem to be only able to copy it to a playlist in the root folder of the iPod. And, can't seem to copy a picture to the iTunes to import that picture into the iPod, to show when the Album is playing, to show that picture. Is there a way to do that? Please reply. Thank you.
    Pentium 4   Windows XP

Since you're using a PC, and this question has more to do with iTunes and iPod than Mac OS X Tiger, you should probably post it in the iPod or iTunes for Windows forums...
Anyway, the sorting of songs on the iPod through Music>Artists,Albums, etc is done automatically.

  • Music album shows not correctly

    Hi all
Since I updated my iphone5 and my ipad2 to IOS 7 I get a very strange problem regarding 1 music album. This album contains of 3 CDs with roughly 20 songs each. In my itunes I split them correctly and gave every album it's own name. CD1, CD2, CD3. In itunes these 3 CD are separted and shown as 3 diffrent albums, when i sync with my iphone it stays correct and I get 3 different albums in my iphone music library. When I sync the same 3 CDs with the ipad however all the songs get put into 1 album containing then 60 songs.
What I am doing wrong? Since it works on the iphone, I suggest it's a setting on the ipad? On the other hand, other albums with the same cirrcumstances it works fine.
    Any ideas are welcome.
    Thank you in advance.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Go to Settings>General>Usage>Music and delete all music (dap edit in upter right and then delete)
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

The old iTunes libraries do not restore any playlists or song counts.
They should you if you do the roll back properly... Opening files from the Previous iTunes Libraries folder in Windows Explorer simply opens the current library. If you don't see the .itl file extension then don't give your copied and renamed file the extention or iTunes will create an empty library rather than using the renamed file.
If you had a complete pre-problem backup of your library you could restore that. On the assumption that isn't possible I have a script called ExportImport that could in principle be adjusted to save the relevant data from a backup of the library database and then reimport that data into the current library. See this thread for details.

  • Problem when Syncing Music: Album Artwork Mixed Up on Ipod Touch

I have a 64gb iPod touch, 4th generation. I sync my music over usb to the iPod through itunes with my entire library. Over the past year I have been having an issue where the music album artwork will be mixed up or sometimes dissapear/not show. Not all of my music does this, mind you, but only some of it. I have a lot of music so it's hard to say what percentage of it but it seems to be at random. I don't mean random as in it changes everytime but that there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason behind which tracks/albums get their artwork mixed up. I have no videos on the ipod either.
So I've tried many things. I've reset my iPod Touch, always made sure the music app didn't appear in the bottom tray after double clicking(when I sync) and even tried setting my library up on my new computer (it used to be on my old one). Also I've gone through my mp3 collection and cleaned and synchronized all of the tags(between albums, ID3v1 & ID3v2) and album artwork with Mp3Tag. Everything is flawless (I have OCD, hah). Also everything appears correct in iTunes and I'm only having the issue on my iPod touch.
Here is a breakdown of what I've noticed but can't explain:
    1.Reset ipod, reinstall iOs,
2.Sync library with iPod touch, everything is fine,
3.Add a few more tracks to the iTunes library,
4.Resync iPod Touch(here I've noticed something weird. Now the ipod resyncs some of tracks that are already on my iPod Touch and when I look at those tracks in the music app the album artwork is mixed up or sometimes gone.
So I don't really know what to do. I've looked through every forum and website looking for a fix and tried everything I can think of or suggested so far. Any help would be appreciated. I should point out that this problem is merely cosmetic and all the tracks play fine. But I bought a $400 iPod Touch and it can't even do the one thing that made it famous properly. I don't know, these electronics are expensive and things like this are helping me to lose faith in Apple. I've already bought an android phone over lack of faith that the iPhone would display my music correctly. I know it seems silly but an organized library is important to how much I can enjoy my device.
Thanks, hope you guys can help!
