Every so often my screen flashes black when typing a text message. It happens randomly. Does anyone have any idea what to do?

When texting my screen randomly flashes black and won't respond. Has anyone else experienced this or knows what to do?

Try  Reset  PRAM.
Some  of the display settings are stored in PRAM.

If this does not help, contact Apple.
