Every time I launch iTunes, I have to Turn Off, then Turn On, iTunes Match

Hi,
When I launch iTunes, while all of my Match songs are listed, I can't play any of them.  Right-clicking on a song reveals that the "Play <song name>" context menu item is grayed-out.
The only work-around I've found is to
Turn off iTunes Match
Turn on iTunes Match, entering my Apple ID and Password again.
While this works, it is slow (it has to re-download my Match database each time), and kind of annoying.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Same here, been hunting for a solution for months and months. Nobody ever has a solution not even apple.

QuickTime Player 7.6.6 installs in the Utilities folder (not the same version 10.1 that installs in the Applications folder).
Once you enter the registration info the "Pro" features are unlocked for all User accounts on the machine.
Did you move QuickTime Player 7.6.6 from the Utilities folder?
Have you tested QuickTime Player 7.6.6 when logged in using a different User account?

every time I launch iTunes I get the message: "Do you want the application iTunes.app to accept incoming network connections" Any suggestions?

Just fixed this on my machine, the easiest way to remove this pop-up assuming you are no longer needing that software to print is the following:
    Open Finder
    Go > Go To Folder...
    Type In: "~/Library/Application Support"
    Delete All Folders Named Kodak
    Open System Preferences
    Go to "Security & Privacy"
Click the lock and enter your admin password
    Click the Firewall Tab
    Go to "Firewall Options..."
    Find KodakAiO
Right-click KodakAiOBonjourAgent or equivalent (I forget the exact name)
    Click "Show in Finder"
Go Back to a folder and delete the Kodak Folder there.
Remove Kodak from Firewall Options by selecting it and clicking the " - " button the base of the list.
       or
    Open Finder
    Go > Go To Folder...
    Type In: "~/Library/Printers"
    Delete All Folders Named Kodak
I'm going off memory, so If I forgot something let me know.

  • Every time i restart iPhoto , i have to turn on photo stream again, somebody know why?

every time i restart iPhoto , i have to turn on photo stream again, somebody know why?

I have exactly the same problem with  iPhoto. On my iPad I just enabled Photo Stream once and it automatically is enabled each time I turn it on again. But on my MacBook Pro and my older tower Mac (both running Lion) I have to enable Photo Stream every time I reboot the computer. Frustrating.

  • "importing itunes music library.xml" pops up every time I launch iTunes

My MacBook Pro crashed this morning, requiring a "safe mode" restart. Anyway, on relaunch, everything seems to be working okay now. EXCEPT -- now whenever I first launch iTunes (after rebooting the computer), I get the popup progress box "importing itunes music library.xml" which is followed by a message about the iTunes library being moved to a "iTunes Library (damaged)" message when complete.
I guess my iTunes library has gotten corrupted somehow.
I've searched for this error message and found numerous posts, but all seem to be in reference to moving the iTunes music library from one computer to another.
Can someone assist me in how to correct this problem? I don't want to try resyncing my iPod without fixin this first...

same prob here, but mine goes one step farther (read: worse). i reported in the form from previous post, but no response yet.
in addition to displaying the "importing..." message, the system ultimately indicated that the file was damaged and saved a version as such. Over half my music is not shown in the new file, and thus not in itunes (though the music files are still there.
has anyone figured this out? would hate to have to individually add everytihg back.

  • ITunes crashes every time I run iTunes Match

The Match process begins but only gets to 37 of 189 songs and then iTunes crashes.  I am getting all songs on my iPhone.  The status on computer for each song shows it is 'waiting' under iCloud status.  Why does iTunes keep crashing?

    Hi,
Try holding shift key (PC) or option key (Mac) whilst turning off match, Close iTunes then reopen. Turn on iTunes match and select Add this computer - see if process completes.

  • Lightroom Trial pop up every time I launch, but I have an active subscription.

It's highly annoying, as I have to click on "license this software" and it takes me onto the next step which is "sign in required", yet I'm constantly signed in so I don't understand why it still asks me to sign in constantly. How can I get rid of this? It's so annoying that I'll cancel my subscription and use another product from another company.

  • ITunes 9 asking to Allow or Deny every time at launch?

Why is iTunes 9 asking to allow or deny incoming connections every time I launch iTunes? Is there a simple way to correct this or a known bug. I have enabled that Home Sharing feature so I think it is that probably.

Hi everyone. I did not have the same problem when I just upgraded to 10.6.1. But I started to have it when I added new iTunes genres artworks. So may be it's something related to changing the original content of the iTunes resources folder like permissions, etc. Did someone make the same change?.

  • License Agreement Screen Appears Every Time I Open iTunes

iTunes acts as if this is a brand new install every time the software opens. Viewing settings are no longer saved forcing me to reset the menu and sidebars. Playback is not seamless between CD tracks. I have uninstalled software and all related programs, re-installed all and continue with the same issues.

I am having the same issue since yesterday.  Every time I launch itunes, the license agreement comes up.
I decided to upgrade to itunes 11.1.3 to see if the problem might go away, but the problem is still there.
    I am on Windows 8.

  • Is there a why to stop the box that pops up demanding a password to enable automatic downloads every time I open iTunes?

Everytime I open itunes a box prompts me to enter a password to enable automatic downloads so I hit 'cancel' and it goes away, then it comes bck soon after. Is there a way of disabling this? It's as bad as getting pop up ads, only it's coming from Apple. VERY annoying.

I have experienced the same problem. Here's what worked for me.
I did all three so I cannot say for sure which step was the successful one.
    (1) iTunes > Preferences > Store. Uncheck everything that has to do with Automatic Downloads. (From now on if I want to check on the status of any downloads I will do it manually. No big deal. That beats having to enter my password every time I launch iTunes.)
    (2) iTunes > Store menu. Select Authorize This Computer. The response is that it is already authorized. The thinking here is that it resets the authorization.
    (3) iTunes > Store menu. Turn off Genius. (Bummer, because I kind of like Genius. Oh well.)
    (4) iTunes > Preferences > Advanced. Click Reset Warnings and Reset Cache. (Again, clean house to see if that helps.)
So far this has worked. No more constant requests for my iTunes password upon launching iTunes.

  • Incoming network connections – must accept manually every time I launch

I keep getting asked, every time I launch iTunes, whether I want to allow it to accept incoming network connections.
Isn't there any way to avoid this extra step every time I want to run this application?

Just in case anyone stumbles upon this thread like I did...while searching for the same problem with Keynote (or maybe other apps).  Deleting the Keynote app and emptying the trash worked to clear up my persistent "allow incoming network connections" pop-ups in Keynote.  But since you can't just download Keynote again (unless you purchased form the Mac App Store), here's what you can do:
Type "Keynote" into the spotlight search.  When you see the app in the search results, Command+Click on it to open up it's Finder location.  Then right-click (CTRL+Click) on the Keynote app file in Finder and choose "Compress..." to create a zip of the app in the same folder location as the original.  Now delete the keynote.app file to send it to the trash.  Lastly empty the trash.  Once the app is gone**, double-click on the zip file to expand Keynote again in it's original location.  Once you're satisfied, you can send the zip file of Keynote to the trash.
**If you still get the problem even when deleting the app and emptying the trash, then you might need to delete and purge the "plist" file for keynote as well.  It is located at /Users/YOURUSER/Library/Preferences (where YOURUSER is your own personal username) and the file is called com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist.  If you don't know how to get to your Library folder on later version of Mac OS X, you can open Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking "Go" in Finder's menu bar, and Library will magically appear as a Go location.
