    (1) Web site requires you to sign in each time
Web sites generally remember your browser by a cookie they set.
If you have changed your cookie settings (for example, by clearing them using Clear Private Data when you close the browser) or installed new third party software (security suite, system cleaner, etc.), you might be clearing the site's cookie.
In some cases, it's possible that cookies can become corrupted. To clear the site's cookies, when viewing the site:
"right-click" (Mac equivalent!) and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In that dialog, you can remove the cookies. After reloading the page, you should be required to log in again and the site will create new cookies.
    (2) Remember font size setting
Are you using a feature of your email site to increase the font? If the site can't remember that for you, then there might be an indirect solution (a hack) to fix it. Which webmail site is it? There might be a userscript available.
If you mean Firefox's zoom setting, then Firefox should remember that between visits.

  • Every time I open iPhoto (as of today) after a few seconds the coloured wheel appears and the program become unresponsive. I have tried closing my computer. I assume I have a corrupt file but at the moment I cannot access anything in the program?

Every time I try to open Iphoto '11 (as of today) the coloured wheel appears after a few seconds and the program becomes unresponsive. I assume I have a corrupt file but I cant do anything including accessing help. I have tried closing down and restarting but it dosnt help. Any ideas please?

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Keychain requests a password every time I open Safari or Mail???

So... it is as it states..
Whenever I turn on my computer and start Safari or Mail, I get this message:
"Safari want to use the "login" keychain."
    Password:
...not a prob, i know the password.... but WHY????? Stop!!!
Under the Details menu, it says:
    Keychain: login.keychain
    Application: Safari
    Samething happens in mail...
Anyone know how to resolve this issue?
    Cheers

OK... not sure if this will help your situation or not but it did fix the problem on my end. Go to the applications folder and RIGHT click on Safari. Choose "Get Info" from the contextual menu. Under the "Sharing and Permissions" item look for your user name. In my case it was not there only system, admin, and everyone. Really not important that your user name is there but it helps to fix the problem as you will see... click the plus sign and then add your user name to the list with read & write permissions, then click the red button at the top of the window.
Now go to Keychain Access and open it, select the menu item "Keychain Access" and scroll down to "Keychain First Aid". In the window that comes up select repair instead of verify and enter your password. It should come back with everything repaired. Close the program.
Next, open Disk Utility, select your system volume and repair permissions. When it finishes you will probably notice an item in the repair log that states "ACL found but not expected on Applications/Safari.app". Close the program.
Open Safari. You should not receive a login to keychain now. Everything should finally be back to normal.
    Hope this helps!

  • How can I stop firefox from redirecting me to the stupid survery every time I open a new page?

Every time I open up the browser, starting this morning, it redirects me to a survey. Every time I open up a new tab or page, it redirects me to a survey.

this sounds like an issue witha dware/malware on your computer. please try all these steps:
    # [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|reset firefox]] (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
    # afterwards go to firefox > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
    # finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] and [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.

  • Since upgrading to iTunes 11, Spinning beach ball every time I open.

Every time I open iTuness 11, after about 30 seconds I get the spinning wheel of death for about 3 minutes. Most of the time it comes back but occasionally it locks up the Mac fully.  I have a MacBook Pro 1st Thunder Bolt generation, Core I7, 8GB RAM.
I have disconnected all USB and Thunderbolt connections and still every time I get it. I've deleted all of my itunes PLIST files, I do not have itunes match or the genius on, I've unchecked all the Store options in the preferences.  I'm running 10.8.2 with ALL patches of all programs.  It seems like it has to do with the Apple Store and possibly the cloud services even though I have all of them off?  I think it's the iTunes phone home to the mother ship thing myself....Also I have a decently fast Internet at the office and it does it anywhere I'm connected to the internet.
    Thanks,
    Dan

Turning off the Search entire library has helped
Click on the black arrow to the right of the magnifying glass in searc and Unticking Search Entire Library

  • ITunes crashes every time I open it

I just upgraded to the latest iTunes (11.???) and it crashes seconds after opening EVERY time I open it. I've tried copying the QTMovieWin.dll into Program Files but that didn't fix it.

Start by removing the QTMovieWin.dll file that you copied. Wrong fix for the wrong problem.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT) as you start iTunes, then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

  • HT204406 Does iTunes match have to look for all music on my computer and send that data to and from Apple every time I open iTunes? This frequently makes iTunes crash before I even get to listen to one song. Installing the latest version of iTunes does no

Does iTunes have to check all my music for match every time I open iTunes even when nothing has changed in the music folder?  This is just one problem I have with iTunes and match.  Every time I open iTunes, the first thing happening is iTunes checking my music and sending the information to Apple and then waiting for Apple to send back information about match. There is a third step that I have never seen iTunes actually reach as it always crashes before finishing this ritual with my music and match.  Since I paid for match I can no longer use iTunes to listen to any of my music. I like having match function on my iPhone because even 128 GB is not enough space to keep a music library and everything else needed on the iPhone.  But it's been a disaster with iTunes on my Windows 7 PC. I updated iTunes recently and the same problem continues.  I can't find any clear description of how match works but it seems if there has been no change to the music folder then the tedious and buggy process of checking all music for match and sending data back and forth to Apple every time iTunes is used should not be necessary.  Is there possibly something I have to change settings for to help iTunes start without so much to do?

If your library was working on your computer and then popped up empty all of a sudden then this might be what you need...
    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

  • Deleted Colour Setting in Bridge, but Photoshop wants to Colour Manage every time I open a file.

I installed a Colour Setting in Bridge as per a printer's instructions. After I did this, every time I open something in Ps, It asks if it can colour manage the file and gives a few options. I deleted a Creative Suite Colour Setting from finder Bridge, but Photoshop still generates the popup every time. This interferes with Scripts in Ps and it's very annoying.

Deleting something in Bridge certainly won't help.
Change the color settings in Photoshop...

If I happen to have an image or for example zip file on my desktop, Bridge crashes every time on opening.
    Its really annoying.
How to get rid of this?

My OS is in finnish, but I think this is what I'm looking for:

    MMXCore.8BX

Maybe this problem has something to do with SSD and temp not on default location.

  • Illustrator CS5 is crashing every time I open the Font Menu

I'm using one of the new Mac Book pro Retinas.  Every time I open the Type>Font menu the program crashes.  Sometimes I can scroll down a little ways but sometimes it crashes immediately.  Photoshop is loading the previews fine so I believe this is an illustrator problem and not a more general font problem.
    Thank you for your help.

Ok, so I am now leaning towards a corrupt font also like Wade Z. suggested. A few things to try if you haven't first though.
1.) Did you repair permissions using Disk Utility in the Applications > Utilities folder? I'd do that and run it a few times until it runs "clean". Meaning that you don't see it repair anything anymore in the list. (I'm assuming you're on a Mac). If you're on a PC this won't help.
2.) You could try resetting the PRAM etc., but I don't think that will help this problem. Sometimes you never know though.
So, if it is a corrupt font, I need to know if you are using a font management program or if you manually place them in font folders? (again assuming you're using a Mac). Post Script Type 1 fonts are known to be more finicky to use in Snow Leopard and Lion. I had some problems with duplicate fonts that were causing havoc on my machine just a few weeks ago. So you may want to try and track down if you have duplicate fonts also. I just used Spotlight to find where any errant fonts were installed. If you install fonts manually I'd temporarily remove them all from the User > Library > fonts folder (or wherever else you may have installed them) and then restart. That way you can test to see if that might be the problem. Then if it is you can add half the fonts back in and do a bubble sort to find which font is corrupt. A bubble sort is a way of taking half of something and testing if it's good or bad. Then if it's a bad half, taking half again to see if it's good or bad. That way you can narrow in on a specific file causing the problem. It can be a little tedious with having to restart, but is one of the best ways of finding a corrupt font. Another method may be to remove all of one type of font and add each set in until  the problem shows up again (if removing them is what fixes it).
If you use the built in FontBook you can try this: http://www.lifespy.com/2007/mac-tips-find-and-eliminate-corrupt-fonts-in-osx/
Hopefully you'll get it worked out.

  • Why am I asked to join a WiFi network every time i open my computer?

Why I am asked to join a WiFi network every time I open my computer?

Make sure your Mac is up to date with all Apple Software Updates.
    Then:
Go to System Preferences > Network. Select Wi-Fi or AirPort from the left column. Click the Advanced... button.
Under the Preferred Networks list, select every Wi-Fi network that appears, including the one you want to use, and delete every one using the "–" (minus) button. Select the box "Remember networks this computer has joined" if it is not already selected.
    OK then Apply.
Select your wireless network in your Mac's Wi-Fi menu, provide your wireless network password, and determine if that solves its connection problems.
If the above does not resolve the problem, follow the steps in these Apple Support documents:
