Every time I open and close iPhoto, I get to see the beach ball for over a minute. What have I done? 27,000 pic

Not Sure when this started, but the wait is way too long. I can't tell what it is processing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?    Opening or Closing iPhoto
- Did it ever work properly?     Yes it has.   I also have had this issue on previous MacBook
- Are there error messages?     No error messages
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.     I have taken no steps at this time.

Every new tab opens to the Ad-aware SecureSearch page. When a new tab was opened I used to get a page with my most used sites. I have tried to find and remove this program but nothing I have used will find it. I have downloaded some add-ons to change what occurs when a new tab is open but none of these will replace the Ad-aware search page. You can but it will not fix anything - you have a corrupted library = not an corrupted application
Backup your iPHoto library, depress the option and command keys, launch iPhoto and ftom the resulting first aid window rebuild your database

I have tried to update my iphone4s and it is stuck still updating in the same place for over 12 hours, what can i do?

i have updated my iPhone 4s to the most recent software. my pone verified the update and switched off, it then came back up with the apple logo and the loading bar, but since it got past halfway through it's stopped and won't go any further. I've tried switching it off and it hasn't responded, what can I do?

In this situation I suggest you try resetting the device first and trying to continue update.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

If that does not resolve your issue, you may need to put the device in recovery mode and restore it from a previous backup after the update installs.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Have you tried closing all apps via the iPad's multitasking bar and then doing a soft-reset and seeing that helps ? To close all apps :
iOS 7: double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag each app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
iOS 6 and below : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPhone by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPhone. If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

hello, when this is happening after you've already updated firefox with your admin account, try to delete the ''updates'' folder and ''active-update.xml & updates.xml'' within the %localappdata% folder of your restricted account like it is described in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update#Software_Update_not_working_properly

You may have triggered some intermittent database issues but it should be running smooth by now. Let us know if you still see server errors.
Also, if your addons appear to go missing after updating there is a workaround http://blog.mozilla.com/addons/2011/09/28/issue-discovered-with-firefox-add-on-upgrades/ And there is a 7.0.1 fix on its way.

Within reason, Pages v5.2 documents are forwards compatible with Pages v5.5.3. Apple introduced the single file format document as a default with Pages v5.5.3 which is not backwards compatible with Pages v5 on Mavericks.
However, they also provided a File > Advanced > Change File Type > {Single File, Package} menu that allows you to change the current Pages v5.5.3 document into the backwards compatible Package type document. You would follow this transformation with a File > Save operation to complete it.

If nothing else is working you can try to put it into recovery mode and restore it that way. Plug in you cable to your computer and make sure your phone is off...hold the home button while you plug the cable into your phone, continue holding the button until a logo pops up showing itunes and cord going towards it, then you can let go of your home button and itunes will prompt you that it detects a phone in recovery mode and make you restore it
