Every time I place a bid on Ebay my firefox crashes and must be restarted. This is the only time this happens. It seems to be ok until I actually confirm the bid and within a second or two firefox crashes.

This is most likely caused by '''The Browser Highlighter''' add-on. Uninstall or disable this add-on from Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions. You could also try finding an update for this extension.

This is a rare error, so excuse me if I ask some basic questions:
1. Do you update your Apple software through the Software Update pulldown menu? If not, I'd suggest doing that.
2. Do you perform diagnostics? If not, you can perform a Permissions check by going to Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and running it.
3. Do you perform other diagnostics? Download Onyx to your Mac, and perform a full diagnostic on your machine. You'll need to reboot.
4. Have you tried to download updates individually from Apple? Not the perfect solution, but there's a good chance it will work.
5. Have you used Terminal? If you go to Applications/Utilities/Terminal, type "sudo softwareupdate --install --all", and enter. Software Update should work.
6. If all fails, consult help at your Apple Store, if there's one nearby.

If I am on e bay, there are times that I place a bid near the end of the bidding process. It has never been a problem until last year, but now every time I place a bid, the second I confirm the bid on e bay, Firefox crashes and I have to reboot?? it. I loose valuable time and on more than one occasion have lost outbidding another buyer because Firefox crashes. I called E bay for assistance but they say it is related to Firefox program and I need to call them. I cannot find any way of contacting Firefox by telephone. Hi i have been on another site today and some one suggested that if you have photos in your camera roll that can cause the crash but does not say why it does it.I did delte the photos i had on the camera and it worked the phone loaded the music i wanted to put on it and it uploaded photos from my picture folder on the computor.But as soon as i take a picture and contect it crashes so would that suggest it is the web cam software do you think?I will phone logitec tomorrow to see if they can help i tried today via email but they are asking for a model number of the camera which i cant find on the camera only it's name so i will phone them

I do not notice ANY problems while on the eBay site except that ANY TIME I place a bid I am immediately logged out.
This started several months ago.
I have checked all add-ons
I have cleared EVERYTHING re: eBay
The ONLY plug-in I can suspect is McAfee but I'm hesitant to turn it off for security reasons & I would THINK if it was their problem it would have been addressed by now.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.

Try repair the Library:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Once you purchase or download an app it will always be associated with the Apple ID used to download it. When that app requires and update you must use the Apple ID and password used to download it in the first place. The only way around this is to delete the apps the require the old Apple ID and download or purchase them again with the new Apple ID.

Do you mean Toolkit or TypeKit, which is part of CC? See Remove minor corruption by exporting. If that doesn't work, try exporting the text to ID Tagged Text and place in a new file, and if that also fails, try removing the fonts.

Make sure there's enough free space on the startup disk to install software updates...
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.
