Every time I plug in my speakers...

...the sound balance moves to the left. I have to physically open up my sound preferences and move it back to the ceneter. Every time!

This happens to me as well- not every time, but every 3rd time or so- and it has become a habbit to just check the balance. I have no answer either.
The only thing that I can think is the the "plugging in" changes a resistance as the connections get close and this causes a slight imbalance. I have no clue if this is the cause or if there is a solution, but know that you aren't alone.
