Every time i put in Cd it changes name!!!
Hello All
Every time i put in a cd that was burnt on a computer (not originals) my itunes names it something different.
Also its got a different name when it mounts on my desktop also dont know if anyone can help me out or if anyone has had this problem as its driving me mad, thanks in advance, Karl...
Yep, as Michael mentioned, iTunes is accessing the internet matching the total bytes of the CD to the data base. Happens to me when I burn a disk in Roxio Toast 7, then mount it to listen to the recording in iTunes. Some of the strangest names appear.
At first I couldn't imagine where these exotic names were coming from until I realized the app. was accessing the Gracenote CDDB (CD database). Unfortunately, you cannot deselect this process within iTunes. As Michael suggested disconnect your machine from the Internet before inserting the CD.

In iTunes 11 that's the default behaviour. You can change this by right-clicking a title in iTunes, choosing 'Get Info' and changing the Video Kind field to "Movie" or "TV Show". You can also change it to "Music Video" but then the video will be moved to the Music section.
You can also select multiple video titles simultaniously and do the above step for all videos at once. This will save a lot of clicks if you have a long list of videos. -
MyiMac wont let me open DVD Player. It's brand new. Every time i put a dvd in it says 'dvd player quit unexpectidly'. what do i do?
Same here on a brand new 13" Macbook Pro (Mid 2012) running Mountain Lion. DVDs play fine using VLC media player but not the default player that comes with Mountain Lion. Will visit my Apple store next week.

I need to get my iPod to no longer be associated with the original i store account. My husband set it up through his account but now I have my own account. I don't want to go through his every time I want to make a change. how do I make this change?
I am trying to stop using my I-pod under my husband's I-Tune account. It was set up under his account and the only way I can use it under my account is to erase all of the songs my husband loaded on for me. I had heard there is a duration that I-Pods are locked into to one account only, and I am trying to discover how I can use my account without having to erase everything on the I-Pod. I know it sounds confusing but that's the way I-tunes have set it up. thanks for asking.

Restart your phone,hold the home button and the off button down till the apple symbol comes up. If that doesnt fix it , you need to do a restore in itunes by connecting to itunes , click on your phones name to the left, then click restore in the center of the screen and restore from backup.

1. Go to expresslane.apple.com
2. select 'itunes' and then 'itunes store'
3. select a topic and a subject
4. click 'continue' and then 'email'
5. fill out the form and explain your situation
6. they will respond within 24 hours usually

Lightroom starts every time i put in a memory card or a USB stick with photos. Is it possible to turn off this feature? I want to determine if the program should start.

Edit >> Preferences>> General (tab)

Uncheck the box: Show import dialog when memory card detected. -
I just downloaded the trial to see if I wanted to buy instead of using Adobe Premiere. Every time i put a clip into the timeline it crashes and just has the color wheel i have to force quit the program. I tried deleting the program and reinstalling it. Please help. Here are my specs

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this,boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top.
