On my HP laptop I get the following when booting up every time: "Apple Syn Notifier-Entry Ponint Not Found. The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll
I have to clear this everytime I boot up?With that one, perhaps first try uninstalling and reinstalling your MobileMe control panel. Does that clear up the error?

Every time I try to open a new web page a window pops up saying the certificate for the page is invalid?? It won't let me on my emails or Facebook
This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are several possible causes for it.
Back up all data, then take each of the following steps that you haven't already taken. Stop when the problem is resolved.
Step 1
From the menu bar, select
▹ System Preferences... ▹ Date & Time
Select the Time Zone tab in the preference pane that opens and check that the time zone matches your location. Then select the Date & Time tab. Check that the data and time shown (including the year) are correct, and correct them if not.
Check the box marked
Set date and time automatically
if it's not already checked, and select one of the Apple time servers from the menu next to it.
Step 2
Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
If the problem is not reproducible in safe mode, then it's caused by third-party "anti-virus" or "security" software. If you know what that software is, remove it as directed by the developer after backing up all data. If you don't know what it is, ask for instructions.
Step 3
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/System/Library/Keychains/SystemCACertificates.keychain
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Show Info
from the contextual menu.* An Info dialog should open. The dialog should show "You can only read" in the Sharing & Permissions section.
Repeat with this line:
/System/Library/Keychains/SystemRootCertificates.keychain
If instead of the Info dialog, you get a message that either file can't be found, reinstall OS X.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Open a TextEdit window and paste into it by pressing command-V. Select the line you just pasted and continue as above.
Step 4
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
In the upper left corner of the window, you should see a list headed Keychains. If not, click the button in the lower left corner that looks like a triangle inside a square.
In the Keychains list, there should be items named System and System Roots. If not, select
File ▹ Add Keychain
from the menu bar and add the following items:
/Library/Keychains/System.keychain
/System/Library/Keychains/SystemRootCertificates.keychain
Open the View menu in the menu bar. If one of the items in the menu is
Show Expired Certificates
select it. Otherwise it will show
Hide Expired Certificates
which is what you want.
From the Category list in the lower left corner of the window, select Certificates. Look carefully at the list of certificates in the right side of the window. If any of them has a blue-and-white plus sign or a red "X" in the icon, double-click it. An inspection window will open. Click the disclosure triangle labeled Trust to disclose the trust settings for the certificate. From the menu labeled
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
select
no value specified
Close the inspection window. You'll be prompted for your administrator password to update the settings.
Now open the same inspection window again, and select
When using this certificate: Use System Defaults
Save the change in the same way as before.
Revert all the certificates with non-default trust settings. Never again change any of those settings.
Step 5
Select My Certificates from the Category list. From the list of certificates shown, delete any that are marked with a red X as expired or invalid.
Export all remaining certificates, delete them from the keychain, and reimport. For instructions, select
Help ▹ Keychain Access Help
from the menu bar and search for the term "export" in the help window. Export each certificate as an individual file; don't combine them into one big file.
Step 6
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences... ▹ Certificates
There are three menus in the window. Change the selection in the top two to Best attempt, and in the bottom one to CRL.
Step 7
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
/var/db/crls
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "crls" should open. Move all the files in that folder to the Trash. You’ll be prompted for your administrator login password.
Restart the computer, empty the Trash, and test.
Step 8
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
open -e /etc/hosts
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in the same way you launched Keychain Access.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting. A TextEdit window should open. At the top of the window, you should see this:
# Host Database
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
127.0.0.1 localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1 localhost
fe80::1%lo0 localhost
If that's not what you see, post the contents of the window. -
I recieve this message every time I start my computer, AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found. How can I fix this?
No problem.
You can either get it via Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update" ... it'll appear in the "New programs" section) or by downloading an installer from the following page on the Apple Website:
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL769 -

Each time I update the software on my iPhone4 I get the following error message on my lap top: AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found The procedure enrty point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll
I go on line to find a solution, but it must be a common problem, why has apple not corrected yet? This is the fix I got from discussions and it worked for me. It is copied below. I just did the manual fix which I have underlined. Good luck! Regards, Belle.
This can occur because libmxl2.dll is not in your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support folder.
There have been some issues with this and other dlls not being in the right place (or not being everywhere they should be) since the 10.3.1.55 iTunes update.
However, I note that the 10.4 iTunes update is now out - surprisingly quickly - so try installing that, rebooting, and see if your issue is solved.
If it isn't, though, here's the manual fix:-
With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the libmxl2.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well.
I actually had the issue with SQLite3.dll, and the above fix worked for me (I found it in an April 2010 posting!).
I passed on the fix as above for the similar issue with libmxl2.dll to someone who had exactly your problem, and he reported that it fixed it for him. -

That one can be produced if you have an older version of Apple Application Support on the PC than is required by iTunes version 11.1.4.62. (The required version of Apple Application Support is included in the standard iTunes installers, but for some reason it hasn't been updating properly for some folks.)
Let's try updating your Apple Application Support to version 3.0 by doing a standalone Apple Application Support install.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, can you launch iTunes without the error now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.) -
I am trying to re-install Icloud, however I can't redownload until I uninstall Icloud, but I can't uninstall until I log out in the Icloud Control Panel. The problem is that I can't open Icloud to log out because it says Entry point not found. I'm having an issue with all aspects of this!
I see you still have your smc0. I'm working on my first attempt at OSB and Oracle support said we have to remove rmt0, rmt1, smc0 before we can install OSB. They saw it in the device list and said those devices must already be taken.
Is you setup working for OSB and regular mksysb & sysback too with the Atape.driver? -
When I power up I get an error message for Apple Sync Notifier.exe - can't locate SQLite3.dll. Can you help?
With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Now paste it in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
Good Luck -
Error message when I log onto my computer.
Does any one one know how to fix this error?
It states: The procedure entry point Sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link librery SQLite3.dllWith that one, I'd first try uninstalling and reinstalling your MobileMe control panel. Does that clear up the error?

I have a Safari web browser that I have used since I purchased my Mac in 2008. Within the last week or so, I have been getting an error message, which says something like it cannot find the Apache back server or something like that. As a result, I have not been able to enter the web via Safari. I have Mac OSX, version 10.6.8. In the past, I needed an update to my operating system software to view on-line videos. Is there a similar problem with the operating software this time? Or has Safari gone off the air. I am utilizing Firefox to enter the web currently and I can continue to use it, but I would like to have a back-up web browser. Can someone help?
Jim Glenn<<That may be so, but email is an inclusive part of the broadband package.
If the broadband service activated on a given date, then the included email facility should be working too. Anything else would be an altogether unacceptable situation for me...unless the broadband had been activated in advance of any agreed date.>>
I totally agree with this. Never before have I signed up for a service where email has taken longer to be activated than the broadband connection, in fact, it's been the total opposite, all my past providers activated my email account before the broadband was activated and I was able to start using the address immediately so that by the time bb was enabled, I was ll and truly up and running.
I do not want a hotmail account or any other type of email account, I want to use what I am paying for, btinternet.
So far, am not a happy customer and am beginning to wonder if I should have gone with another provider.
Sorry for the rant but I expect more from such a big company.

I choose download when asked what to do with the file.
Try removing the archive file from Outlook, rename it and then readd, then restart Outlook and see if the error goes away.

Must reseat My x-fi express card every time I restart my computer
AMust reseat My x-fi express card every time I restart my computerW I am forced to reseat my x-fi express notebook card every time I turn my computer on in order for it to work which is very frustrating since I do a lot of video recording by Firewire and need the card to work reliably. Once i reseat it into the express slot, it works fine, but not before then.
I have a Dell XPS M730 running XP sp3.
It is apparently a driver problem because if I forget to reseat during bootup, both Sony Sound Forge and Adobe Premiere Pro .5 freeze up when I try to load them at they are scanning for audio devices.
So far I've tried:
1) disabling the on-board sound card hoping to eliminate a possbile confilct.
2. Downloading the latest drivers, etc.
Does anyone have an idea of how to solve the problem?
Thanks1. If you log in automatically, a bug in some versions of OS X will cause the desktop picture to revert to the default image at every startup. The only known workaround is to disable automatic login in the Users & Groups preference pane.
2. If the selected Desktop picture is stored in an iPhoto library on an external drive, export it from iPhoto and move it to a folder on the startup volume. (Credit for this solution to ASC member janay.)
3. If the desktop picture always reverts to a plain blue background, one of your login items may be causing the problem. The "TeamViewer" application can have this effect; see this thread. If it's not that in your case, rule out all other third-party login items as possible causes.
4. If you have a MacBook Pro with automatic graphics switching, disable it temporarily in the Energy Saver preference pane, set the Desktop picture, then restart the computer and re-enable graphics switching.
5. If none of the above applies to you, proceed as follows.
Back up all data.
In the Finder, hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the menu bar. From the Library folder, delete the following item, if it exists:
Caches/com.apple.systempreferences
and move the following items to the Desktop, if they exist:
Application Support/Dock/desktoppicture.db
Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
Launch System Preferences and test. If you still have the issue, put the items you moved to the Desktop back where they came from and post again. Otherwise, delete the items.
