Every time I start up my computer I need to re-install the flash player?

Just as the title says. Every single day I have to re-install this damn program for it to run properly. I never get any error messages, I use firefox, the video remains unloaded, and then I re-install the player, and it's like new again. So annoying.. Any advice?

One more quick thing first. Hold the SHIFT key this time as you startup and see if that gets you any further (this is called 'Safe Mode' by the way). I'm not too confident that this will work in your case but it's worth a try. If it boots up, go into Disk Utility and repair permissions.
If it doesn't, you're going to have to do an Archive & Install which will install a fresh copy of the OS over the top BUT keep all your users, files and apps in place.

Sry about the delay! The message says exactly: The purchased item " A dog in a trap" (a book I bought) on the IPod " My IPod's name IPod touch could not be transferred to your ITunes library because you are not authorized for it on this computer.
Then at the bottom it said to authorize this computer for items purchased from the ITunes Store choose Store> Authorize This Computer. I have no idea where to go and how to do that! Please help!!!!!!

Regarding Firefox 16.0.2. Every time I start up Firefox, especially after a period with my comp in standby mode, I am always asked to install several add-ons and extentions. Always the same ones, and always several. I install them, again and again, yet I am still always prompted to reinstall every time I start Firefox. I've always had this batch installed, but I don't know why it keeps telling me to reinstall them.

Some security software has virtualization or sandbox features that may cause problems by protecting and restoring files in the Firefox profile folder.
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

Why does my location change every time I start/restart my computer?

I have yahoo weather set to my location. Every time I switch to an other account or start /restart my computer it changes to another location. I follow the "Firefox cure" Yahoo gives for the problem but it continues to do the same . This started about a week ago when I updated Firefox.
The problem is about to drive me nuts.

Lion: I have to log in every time I start up my computer?

Hi all. I took the plunge and upgraded to Lion the other day. Overall, I love it, but since I upgraded, I now have to log in to Lion every time I initially start up. I've never had to to do that before - I always just stayed logged in, and when I boot up, I booted straight into the OS. I've looked all over and can't find the option to just stay logged in. I know it must be there somewhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Firefox disappears from my dock and I have to copy it to my Apps folder each time I start up, and I am then prompted to install the latest version, but notification will not go beyond contacting server.

I have tried many of the suggested solutions from online communities, like uninstalling and reinstalling, but I still have the same problem - Firefox disappears from my dock, when I click on the 'question mark' in the dock to open it, I'm asked to copy to my Apps folder, which I have to do each time and replace old version. Then I'm prompted to install the latest version, but when I do this, it gets stuck on contacting server. Please help! I'm using Yosemite 10.10.

Do you have the current version of list.it (version 0.4.8.9.1)? This page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12737/ indicates it is compatible with all Firefox 3.6.* versions.
Tools > Add-ons > Extensions shows what version. If it is old, click "Find Updates" at the bottom of the Extensions window.

The installer needn't be on your system. Clikc the file ONCE to highlight it, and press Shift+Delete to permanently delete the file.

I have to re-install adobe flash for firefox every time i start my computer even if firefox shows that my adobe flash is working it does not.I also get notices from the websites i visit (get flash e.t.c.)

There are two versions of the Flash Player plugin. One is ActiveX and only works in IE. It sounds like you have that one installed. The other one works in all other browsers.
What seems to be happening is that you have security software that's blocking one of those versions of Flash/restoring your computer state and so it gets uninstalled when you start your computer. The other possibility is that there are permission issues. Unfortunately, this isn't something that Firefox can control; it's a problem with the Flash installation (Firefox is dumb and just looks in the registry for a list of installed plugins to load).
Make sure that you're an admin on your computer when you try to install Flash and that you check your security settings. If that doesn't work, try posting to the [http://forums.adobe.com/community/flashplayer Adobe community forums] to see if other people have had similar issues and know how to address them.

LabVIEW 8.0.1 on Windows 8 wants to mass compile every time I start it?

My Windows 7 machine took a dump and I installed LabVIEW 8.0 on a new Windows 8 machine. I then installed the 8.0.1 upgrade and did the mass compile. I then installed NIVPM and attempted to install the openG package which some of my vis depend on. Only a few of the openG modules installed without dependency issues or somesuch. Now every time I start LabVIEW it is as if I never did the mass compile and it wants to do it all over again. I don't recall having any such issue when I installed labVIEW in Win7 (or Vista, or XP). Am I missing something? Can someone help... please???
In case it matters the machine is an HP Pavillion G7-2240US laptop, Intel Core i32370M @ 2.4 GHz, 6.00 GB RAM

OK, I get it. You are irritated that you can't do something you wanted to do. I can't understand what bug you are talking about. LV8 doesn't run on Win8? That's not a bug. By your logic I should be able to dig out the old V4 disks I have laying around and run them on my Win7 computer. Or better yet, I still have an old Mac488 GPIB interface box made by IOTech. Should I be expecting NI to come out with DAQmx drivers for it? They did after all buy out the company.
I got two words for you: obsolete happens. V8 was a good version in its day, but its day was 6 years ago. Someday LV2013 will be obsolete - heck someday you will be obsolete. It just happens, so my suggestion is to go buy yourself a pair of big-boy pants and stop whining.

"investigate previous internal error" every time I start LV 8.2.1

Hi,
Every time I start LV 8.2.1 I get a message "The last time you ran LabVIEW, an internal error or crash occurred at fpsane.cpp, line 401" and it asks if I want to investigate now. I don't have any problems while running the application, compiling it or building an installer. Does anyone have any idea what this is and if it's important?

Although the VI runs, it may have a strange entry somewhere.
I did get that message a couple of times. From what I can recall it was when running omething & I had to kill the execution, or shut down LV completely. Upon re-start of LV a similar message popped up. The message did not re-appear at the next start. Maybe I inadvertently fixed it without knowing..
Try loading your VI, running it once. Saving it. Shut down LV. Restart LV. And check to see if the message continuous to appear. (you may have to repeat the steps once).
Oh... Do you have any Disable Structure which has some unfinished code iside it? I do recall that... Who knows.. (???)

It sounds like you have a third party program that has taken over your search engine, home page, and/or the default new tab page. Fortunately, this can be remedied easily:
# At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP), and then click Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
# In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.
# Select the toolbar you wish to remove.
# Click the remove button.
# Click "Restart now" if it pops up. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.
After Firefox restarts, install the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/ Search Reset Tool]. This will remove the rest of the traces of this program from your Firefox.
For further information, please read [[Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page]].
