Every time I sync my iCal computer with my iPhone 4 or iPad, duplicate entries are generated on both systems. What am I doing wrong or how can I avoid the duplications?
Every time I sync my iCal on my computer through iTunes with my iPhone 4 or iPad, duplicate entries are generated on both systems. What am I doing wrong or how can I avoid the duplications? I have been doing this for several years and this problem is a more recent issue, like in the last 6 months. I have been deleting the duplicate entries, on both systems, but some duplicates reappear through "general" entries that are connected to the correct color for a Calendar, but not the name. I am going nuts and wasting tons of hours trying to get the 3 calendars to sync without generating duplicate entries.
Choose one of the Calenders on ONE of the computers OR the MobileMe as the Master / correct account.
The REINITAILISE the data of MobileMe within preferences on the computer defining the datatransfer correctly (in the advanced box of preferences). The synchronise iphone contacts and calender directly on-line to MobileMe.

No, it's just that adobe makes it really hard to find the actual editor in the mac version. It's in applications>adobe photoshop elements 11>Support Files, not the logical file at the top level of the folder:

Syncing requires a backup as part of the sync process.
Delete any existing backups in iTunes under Edit > Preferences > Devices (or simply move them to a different folder on the computer) then try a backup or sync. -
I have a new computer. I have copied Itunes library from an external hard drive. Itunes now tells me I cannot sync with my Ipod as it thinks the 20gb on the computer are different to the 20gb on my Ipod touch! What have I done wrong? How can I fix it? Alan

Connect your device to iTunes and in the the window were all the apps are greyed out make sure the 'Sync Apps' checkbox (top left corner) is selected.

I have an I Pod Nano and would get messages to update my software. In my I Tunes I have 1,900 songs but after the updates it will only sync 933 songs. My current software version is 1.0.2. I will try am explain what I see: I hooked up my I Pod Clicked on Music checked Sync Music 1909 Songs select Playlist, Artists, albums, and genres checked Include music videos Playlists checked 50's Music checked 70's Music checked 80's Music checked 90's Music checked 2000 Music checked 2010 Music These are songs that I downloaded onto my I Tunes. I bought me a new computer but when my data was transferred from old computer to new computer a lot of my songs on my hard drive were lost, but they were able to save all my songs on I tunes. My I Pod is still connected Clicked on "On this Ipod" Music 938 Songs 2.2 days So my question to you is if I have 1,909 songs on my ITunes how come only 938 transferred to my IPod. I checked my IPod and it shows only 938 songs transferred. This did not happen before until I Tunes asked me if I wanted to update to a newer version. Last month I did have all my 1,909 songs on my I Pod. I hope this explains what I am asking

You may want to check ur settings. when you plug in ur ipod make sure it is highlighted then at the top of the page you will see tabs Summary Music Podcast Info....click on the MUSIC tab...in that box there will be 2 options:
Sync Music
Entire Music Library
Selected playlist, artist, albums, and genres
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CHECKED OFF ENTIRE MUSIC LIBRARY

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
It should be necessary to confirm that you want to install third-party extensions.<br />
This usually indicates that other software is messing with files in the profile folder and is corrupting them.<br />
This can either be the extensions.sqlite database file or the prefs.js that stores first run prefs (the first is the most likely cause).
Do you have any cleanup software running on a schedule that may be causing this?
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end side of the Search Bar ("Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also try to delete the addons.sqlite file. -
How can I sync my Verizon emails with my iPhone and iPad
I am having a problem with emails, I delete them on the iPhone and the iPad then a couple of hours later the deleted emails are back on both devices. What can I do to solve this issue. My gmail account works fine with no deleted emails showing back up again.
You'd be better off looking in the email support section of the Verizon website. That's where you're likely to find the various settings required for configuring the account. Often email providers give both POP and IMAP settings.

Force quit. cmd-option-esc key combo. Then choose Mail and force quit in the window that presents itself.

Three weeks ago, I burned Around The World (Daft Punk) and Welcome Reality + (Nero) to my iTunes library on Windows Vista. Today I plugged my iPad into my laptop (on which I burned the CDs) and did a backup and sync. After it finished, I checked my Music app on the iPad and the CDs were not there. Am I missing a step or do I need to configure something?

Try dragging and dropping the music on top of your iPad to sync the music over, also ensure that you are syncing the recently added tracks.

I do not seem to be upgrading to IOS 5.01 correctly - twice I have connected to my computer and received notification that all current upgrades are being added but when I try to download apps that require 5.01 I am told that I do not have a system that is upgraded for this. What is the problem and how do I remedy it?

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

Unable to set up sync on new computer with existing iPhone
I have replaced my laptop and install Firefox 16.0.2. I have been unable to sync it with my existing iPhone Firefox app. It was working fine on my old computer, both running Windows 7. For my last attempt I logged onto my sync account and deleted it. Now trying to set up a new sync account and it says my email address is already in use. When I launch the Firefox app on my iPhone it goes direct to a screen that Firefox Home requires a sync account. I have deleted and re-installed the app but that did not help. I'm stumped.
Addendum: I tried all of the suggestions on the Firefox web site, but they do not match the options available on 16. There is not "Manage Account" option that I can find on 16.
