Every time I update firefox for Win7, the taskbar icon disappears. How can I stop this from happening?
The question pretty much says it all. For the record, no desktop icon is installed either.
Most running programs have an icon on the taskbar, and Firefox is no exception. So in order to pin Firefox to the taskbar manually, first you have to launch Firefox from the Start Menu.
You can also open Windows Explorer and navigate to the installation folder, then right-click ''firefox.exe'' and choose "Pin to taskbar".

I don't know why you lose your pinned icon when updating. But I do know that Firefox pins itself to the taskbar when installing, provided you've accepted to make it your default browser. If you get rid of the automatically created shortcut and create one manually, I'm hoping that one won't be affected.

This post has already been answered. Why are you plugging your own site with an answer that has already been given? Not to mention that the information you are handing out is incorrect. There is no bug, there is no patch, and no one needs to delete any email addresses. The first step in troubleshooting that may be to identify the tab or page involved, then try Firefox with only the newtab page and the problem page open.
IIRC Firefox is intended to continue streaming audio even if a tab does not have focus. That enables users to stream audio in the background whilst browsing. What you hear may be intended behaviour. -

On the device that you don't want the apps to be downloaded on, go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Automatic Downloads. Once you turn that off, your problem will be fixed.

You can share the same Apple ID in
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: here
But for all other Apple services like:
FaceTime, iMessage, iCloud, etc, one of you should use a different Apple ID. -
Everytime I plug my phone into to sync, Itunes starts downloading the same rented movie over and over. I go in and delte it from my library but it does it again. How can I stop this from happening?
The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

Under the older iOS, when you opened a blank Safari page, Bookmarks automatically opened. However, with the newer iOS, this does not happen anymore. What iPhone and version of iOS do you have?

I have multiple groups in the cloud. I have checked the group I want to use. the next time I go to my contacts they are all checked, how can I stop this?
Are they coming from one forum (e.g. this one, 'iTunes Store'), or from just one thread ? If one community then what shows at the top right of the screen under the Notifications box for the forum - if it says 'stop email notifications' then click on it.

You should be able to open both accounts.
I believe Hotmail T&C may expect you to have only one account, but possibly multiple alliases.
You may have problems opening two separate hotmail accounts at once in Firefox. Try using a new private browsing window for the second one. With any look that will separate them enough for you to use both at once.
(With other account holders permission.) I sometimes open my own and another persons hotmail account by that method.

When importing my video from the event library to the project library, it's zooming in and
narrowing the width of my footage. How do I stop this from happening?In the project, double-click on the clip to open the Clip Inspector. In the Clip tab you will see an item about two thirds down labelled "Stabilization". If checked, uncheck the box "Smooth clip motion".
Stabilizing clips causes a zoomed in effect, with the extent of the zoom dependent upon how shaky the footage is. There is a slider beneath the check-box labelled "Maximum Zoom" - this can be draggged back and forth to adjust the zoom effect if desired, once the clip has been stabilized.
You may have chosen to analyze clips for stabilization when importing to iMovie (that's a choice provided by iMovie upon import). If so, it's best to turn off an option in iMovie's preferences. Go to this from the iMovie menu item iMovie>Preferences. Click on the Browser tab and deselect (uncheck) the box labelled "Automatically stabilize clips that have been analyzed".
I prefer to import clips without analyzing, as this speeds up the import process. Afterwards, in the Event you can check for any overly shaky clips, then analyze them in the Inspector. If necessary, once dropped into a Project, you can stabilize them as desired. You can also stabilize clips directly in the Project without having to first analyze them in the Event.

Flip the Ring/Silent switch. Make sure Vibrate when silent is off in Settings>Sound.

HT201210 This is the second time my iphone has had to restore, how can I stop this from happening?
My phone completely freezes and I get the itunes update icon. Can I change a setting on my phone to stop this from happening as I am unable to use my phone at all when it does this and sometimes when I have gone to update I just keep getting error messages.
There is no setting to stop this from happening, which means there is a major problem with your iPhone and the reason you can't use your iPhone at the time.
If you restored from your iPhone's backup, try restoring as a new iPhone or not from the backup. If this occurs again shortly thereafter, the iPhone has a hardware problem. -
