I have an old Firefox. Every time I update to a new version, I can't get back on the internet. It tells me it can't find the server. So I have to uninstall the updated version and go back to my old version.

Apps can only be updated using the same Apple ID and password they were originally purchased with.

Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

sorry this was a vague problem...i sent an email to a french website but it bounced back saying messge could not be sent due to mistake in address. now every time i go to my mail the message..This mail cannot be sent appears..i press the OK to and it still appears every time i log on..Any clues on how to get rid of this message?

i tried to download HotSpot Shield. i go to their home page and click download and i get redirected to the home page and there is no download, NOTHING HAPPENS.
same thing with trying to download magnet links and .torrent files on Piratebay.se. i click "Get this Torrent" and i get REDIRECTED TO THE HOME PAGE. the .torrent file doesn't appear in Downloads. NOTHING HAPPENS!!

How can I get rid of the vuzit application for pdf downloads and, instead, use Acrobat?

When I try to access a document that is in pdf, I always end up having to wait for the vuzit nitro pdf reader. I usually end up switching to Safari or Chrome to avoid waiting and trying to use this program which seems to serve no useful purpose.
How can I switch the preference to Adobe Acrobat? I have tried using the Firefox preferences for this with no luck.

I have eventually uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it.
I lost all bookmarks and passwords, but I have not (yet?) heard of VUZIT again.

Connected to the network, but can't get out to the Internet

Here’s my problem… After my previous router died, I recently installed a Netgear wireless router (WGT624NA) with 128-bit WEP security, and created a new wireless network. My Powerbook G4 found the network, and I was able to put in my WEP password, and everything seemed to work fine … for a while. In the last couple of days, I can’t get to any Internet sites.
I’m connected to the wireless network fine, with a strong signal level, and I seem to be able to Ping out. But when I try to go to (any) Internet site on Safari, I now get “Safari can’t connect to the server”. I’ve gone through the Network Setup Assistant, put in the correct WEP code, and after hitting “continue” from the “You’re now ready to try connecting… “ screen, get “Unable to establish a network connection”.
I seem to be connected, but can’t get out. Help.

A UPS (Uninterruptible power supply) is a battery back up, so if you power goes out you can finish up what you're working on and shut down normally.
I had a similar incident this week, power went out all computers, modem and router went out. After power was restored all started up fine and looked good. Wireless router showed I was connected to the internet but could not surf any site. I had changed my email account password several weeks earlier (email account provided by my ISP) and did not think this had anything to do my boradband connection, but I was wrong.
To make a long story short, I had to update the password as it related to my broadband connection. The connection was there, it just did not recognize my new password because I had changed it... If you control the account and you've changed any passwords associated with account yu will have to update or your landlord will have to update... make sense?

I can not get itunes to open after I have downloaded it and closed it and tried to get bck into it

I can't get itunes to open after i download it. I close it to come back to it and it won't open or anything like it wasn't downloaded at all. Help please

The file that I'm have issues with in itunes is the file called iTunes Libary.itl.
So just to get itunes to open I had to delete that file and then sync all of my music back into itunesday, is there anyway so I do not have to keep doing that?

You will have to restore the phone and set up as New. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212. The part you need is near the bottom, "If you have never synced your device with iTunes...". You will lose any content that is not backed up in iCloud.

Can't Get Blackberry Onto The Internet

Sorry if this has been asked before. I've been given a Blackberry Pearl on the T Mobile network. My SIM card is on Virgin UK so it lets me make calls and receive text messages but whenever I try to get on the internet it says there's a problem and to talk to my service provider.
I've spoken to Virgin who said the following settings need to be entered but I can't find where to do it, all the places I've tried haven't worked. If I can't get on the internet with Virgin I'll have to move to another network, I just want to try everything before I have to do that! The most likely cause is that affected songs are iTunes Store purchases (or are being matched to the Store). To prevent the Store metadata over-riding yours, set the following options to OFF in Edit > Preferences > Store:

Exit iTunes, when you start it again you should see your metadata selections and these should now be stable. Also, if you have any iOS devices select Settings > Music and turn the Show All Music option OFF. I have an 8GB Ipod Touch 2nd Gen. The apps I already purchased don't seem to work anymore and when I go to re-install, I can't because it says I need a software update. How can I get access to the apps that I purchased?

Due to having a gen 2 Ipod, I can't download any apps from the app store. Plus, many of my previously downloaded apps (that I bought) aren't working...so I can't even re-download them since I still have 4.2.1. HELP!!! A 2G iPod can only go as high as 4.2.1
Many developers when they updated their apps to support iOS 5 and 6 dropped compatibility for iOS 4.2.1 and earlier.
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

You really need to try this on a computer, not on the iPad.
Seeing how what is in the cloud is also on the iPad, if the content is not on the iPad, there is a good chance that the content is lost. But you can try logging into www.icloud.com in a web browser on a computer and log into your account and see if you can get into the Pages app. You may have to sign up for iCloud drive if you didn't do so already. Make SURE you that you read the blurb that will pop up in that window in iCloud for more information.
