The only suggestion I can provide you is to set your ipod to manually manage. I do also suggest that you back up your music onto cd's, so you always have a back up.

IPod messes up every time I update.

Hey all. I have an iPod touch 3rd Generation. I just updated it yesterday to the new iOS. When I updated it gave me an error message saying (usually 9 or 37) and told me I'd have to restore my iPod. I had to restore it on a totally different computer...because it won't restore on my laptop. It has no problems restoring on the other computer, then I add all my stuff (apps/music/videos, etc) back on from my laptop. I have this issue every time I update my iPod. Am I the only one out there with this problem??

Sounds like some kind of conflict.
Next time, try turning off any anti-virus or spyware software. Also, try plugging it into a different USB port - and don't use a hub. Be sure you are using a 2.0 USB cable.
Maybe that will solve your problem.

Videos updated every time I connect my iPods

So every time I connect my iPod classic or my iPod video 5th gen to iTunes, it keeps on “updating“ some of my videos. So I have to wait until it syncs them back to my ipods until I can disconnect. I really don't understand why it does that so I would like some help. iTunes is up to date. It doesn't re-sync all of my videos, only videos that I have converted.

Itunes crashes every time I connect my Ipod..

I had my Ipod connected while running a software update 1-2 weeks ago. Shortly after the update completed, my computer gave me "A computer must be restarted" mesage, and promptly shut down all the programs I was using and rebooted. Currently, not only does Safari refuse to operate, my Itunes crashes every time I connect my Ipod, preventing me from altering information or transferring songs. I've done everything but 'restore'-- I'm afraid that if I reset my Ipod, I'll lose the songs I already have.

Every time I eject my Ipod from ITunes 7, it erases everything

Every time I eject my ipod (with clickwheel) from ITunes 7 after updating, it takes a long time, and then when it finally ejects, all my songs are erased from the ipod. When I reconnect to my iBook, I have to restore the ipod... every time!
After the restore, and the whole library is re-copied, the ipod seems to eject itself automatically and is fine. It's only when I reconnect the ipod and try to sync it after I've bought new songs.
Has anyone else had similar problems? Is my ipod just dying, or too old for iTunes 7? Help!

Your system is missing a couple DLLs that LR needs, but the fix at Adobe is to copy them to the LR folder which gets replaced for each install, so you have to redo it after each LR install. It would be worth documenting the process and saving the DLLs so you don’t have to ask about it each time:

You might also use the AIO210 program to add them as detailed in this YouTube video—maybe this is a more permanent fix, but since the files are from media-fire be very careful about what you do so as not to install a virus on your computer.
I’d scan the downloaded ZIP you download with whatever virus and internet security software you have and don’t be fooled by extraneous popups you might see during the download process. I was able to download the aio210.zip after authorizing one Captcha window and closed at least one bogus popup trying to get me to install other software. How can my ex on a separate plan with a separate apple id receive my iMessages every time an update or phone change happens?

Every time an update happens or we change phones my ex's iPhone and mine get linked somehow and he receives my messages. If we are no longer using the same apple id and are on separate phone plans how can this be happening? I have changed my password but this keeps happening. Once our information was appearing under each other's iMessages so we went to the apple store and called the phone service and they said it was fixed, but it happened again. Correct. All sync features are turned off and if is 'manually manage' somewhere, I have checked the box to do so. So basically everything is set for me to manage manually, yet my iPod playlists are still being deleted.

Can't tell you the exact time, but over USB 2.0 it should be maybe a minute or so. Certainly no more than a couple of minutes.

MSE Creates A Restore Point Every Time It Updates

MSE creates a redundant restore point every time it updates.
Is there any way to stop this from happening without
disabling the system from creating restore points entirely?

The HD is 500GB. I think by default 2% or 10GB is reserved for restore points. Once the limit is reached the restore points are overwritten - last in, first out. I have a preferred restore point established that I'd like to be preserved.
My concern is the way in which Windows Update is used to update MSE definitions. Everytime (daily) MSE AV definitions are D/L it creates another restore point. Eventually it will overwrite the restore point I established. I guess I can always remove the restore points MSE creates using CCleaner or use a different AV program but it's something that should have been addressed by MS. They should have provided users with the option of not having MSE create restore points. I know I can always turn the feature off altogether and create restore points manually but there are times when having a restore point created automatically can come in handy - like when installing a program for example.
Aside from this issue I've also noticed other little annoyances throughout the Windows 7 / 64bit - Home Premium OS.
I'm sure I'll discover more annoyances with this OS over time.

At the top of my screen I have settings for yahoo, amazon, news,etc.
If I click on the one for yahoo, Firefox says UNRECOGNIZED.
This happens every time I update Firefox. From three past updates and before FIREFOX did not do that.
