Every time I use Firefox it defaults to a full screen view that I cannot get out of without aborting the application because I cannot use any other controls

This never happened until a few days ago and I didn't knowingly do anything to bring it about. I also just now uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but that didn't help anything. My internet explorer and all other applications work fine. It is only Firefox that now automatically goes to a full screen view when I launch it and I do not know how to get out of it except by aborting by using ctr+alt+del

I participated in a webinar and now every time I start Firefox it says it can't restore previous session and freezes. Restarting computer didn't help. what to do? using mac OS 10.5.8

For some reason all of my ad ons and plug ins have to be reinstalled every time I restart firefox. I don't know how or why they keep getting disabled or uninstalled. Help?

I don't have a password on my phone. After attaching the phone to the Windows 7 computer, my DCIM folder is always empty. Here's the solution: While the phone is plugged in to the computer, pick it up and select the Photos application. A dialog box appears and asks if you trust this computer. Obviously, select the "Trust" option. Then the photos will download. If you have a password on your phone, I'm guessing you have to enter it before you open the photo application.

The Full Screen icon does not appear in Firefox 16.0.2 on Mac OS 10.6.8, and command+shift+F does not close the full screen view.

I accidentally entered full screen view and was unable to exit. Further, the Help article's advice to exit full screen view by using the keyboard sequence command+shift+F does not work. I had to unplug my iMac and reboot. Firefox then opened in non-full screen view.
Ideally, hitting the Escape key would cause Firefox to exit full screen view.

I forgot one detail. This happened while I was having trouble seeing the mouse cursor (I use Apple's Magic Mouse). It had disappeared briefly. I had to drag the cursor out of the Firefox Window for it to reappear. I accidentally entered full screen view while the cursor was not visible.

I use speeddial addon and it now keeps going off every time I close firefox and I need to reinstall it every time. What can I do to stop this happening? Thanks!

Been in touch with the author of the product and got the following reply:
The problem is the SiteAdvisor extension that McAfee installs; go to Tools > Add-ons, in the resulting panel select "Extensions", locate SiteAdvisor, click on it to select, and then click the "Disable" button; Speed Dial will work perfectly after that.
I already contacted them to attempt to fix the problem, but no reply so far. The problem happens before any Speed Dial code is executed, so I don't think I can fix it on my side.
Don't have the problem any more, note I had a McAfee update just before the problem started happening.

I unsubsribed from Get Glue and now every time I open Firefox, Get Glue opens on the page and I cannot get rid of it. I like Firefox and would like to use it, but the problem with Get Glue coming up each time I open Firefox causes me not to use Firefox.

This sounds more like a Windows question, than a Firefox question. When you say that an image shows up every time you open your computer, do you mean every time you turn on your computer, or every time you start Firefox?

Every time I launch Firefox I hear the audio I uploaded for an EPK. Why?

I have uploaded audio for an EPK, with Artistecard.com. Even after re-launching Firefox many times, and of course after closing all the pages, the music starts every time I launch Firefox, and plays over and over. What can I do?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. 
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions. 
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Flash uninstalls every time I restart firefox

Every time I close Firefox, Flash uninstalls. Every time. I am getting tired of reinstalling manually every time I want to view a site that uses Flash. Please help!

Did you try creating a new Firefox profile ?
Did you succeed in getting a new clean profile running, one with no add-ons, and only the default bookmarks lists ?
* open the new profile in Firefox's [[safe mode]], check it has no plugins listed, or if it has uninstall them whilst in safe mode
* restart firefox again using this new profile and check it shows no add-ons or plugins.
* just to be sure restart your computer and check again
If so did you then try to open that new profile and install the Flash player plugin into it.
May also need to consider

A clean reinstall may solve the problem but do not try that yet, because you could loose information. You are mentioning multiple profiles by this I guess you are referring to having multiple Windows accounts on your computer

Why do my bookmarks rearrange themselves every time I start Firefox 3.6?

I recently installed Windows 7 on this computer and upgraded to Firefox 3.6. I used Fierfox Sync to import my old links, and right away I noticed that the order of my list of links changes every time I open Firefox. Thinking it had something to do with Firefox Sync, I uninstalled the addon, but the problem persists. It's not exactly crippling, but it's enough of an annoyance that I'm ready to switch to another browser. What's going on?
Here are a few additional observations:
* It doesn't appear that Firefox is trying to arrange the list by alphabetic or numeric order. Every time I open the program, the list appears in a completely different order.
* It also doesn't appear that Firefox is trying to arrange them in order of "most visited" or "most recently visited". There's at least one site that I have visited only once or twice that keeps creeping up the list. While sites I visit several times a day seem to move around at random.
* Links in folders (and folders within other folders) seem to be unaffected. Although the top-level folders do move around the list.
* When I try to rearrange my list, the space between the first and second items on the Bookmarks Menu is untouchable. I cannot place links, folders or seperators there. But I can move the first and second items to other places on the list, and I can place items just above or just below them.
* I also occasionally have trouble placing links in other spots on the list. When I drag them to a location and release them, they appear 2, 3 or 4 spots below where I expect them to appear. It feels like Firefox is trying to force them into a specific order, but it's not based on their names, addresses or frequency of use.
* Items at the top of the list move around a lot more than items at the bottom. I have a few links that I keep at the bottom of my list "just in case" I need to visit an old business site. And they have been unaffected by this problem.
* I have the same problem with my Bookmarks Toolbar list and my Bookmarks Menu List. Fortunately links haven't jumped from one list to another.
